Absolutely loved the private, spacious, reserved room! What a blessing and surprise to have our menu changed at the last minute! None of us knew. Yet they had ample time to print a revised menu which we shared family style. No regrets. Arancini: I really enjoyed this appetizer from breading and crunchiness of outside to hearty meat on the inside, then surrounded with the perfect amount of marinara sauce. Bruschetta: Aged balsamic reduction was a perfect complement to pancetta. Never lacking in every bite with diced tomatoes on sturdy, crispy baguette. Posta Antipasto: Beautiful charcuterie presentation with deliciousness from salami, prosciutto, spicy pepperoni, olives, blueberries, strawberries, crostini, cheese, honey, and more. Flaming Parmigiano Wheel: Server had an audience as he demonstrated, made fresh pasta, and served heat hot! This was my son's fave meal as he consumed two full servings for dinner. Chicken Piccata: While this entree was offered to all of us on the menu, no one chose it. New Brunswick Salmon: A few of our relatives ordered it and was happy with their selection. I sampled a small piece. Moist and flavorful. Grilled Veal Chops: Majority of adults ordered. I enjoyed my main course as it was moist, tender, easy to cut with the juices intact. Integrated well with roasted potatoes and roasted greens. A glass of Chianti wine paired well with my meal. Baby Gem Salad: I tried a sample and failed to get a photo. Well balanced. Dessert Board: I didn't sample the Funneltella and Sicilian Chocolate Chip Cannolis due to my chocolate allergies. One of my CIL hollered, "Save the pistachio cannolis for Ruby!" Restaurant website indicates 2 hours of free underground pay available with validation. Only concern was when my husband presented parking ticket for validation to a female employee within and before two hour period, she said, "No need validation." Perplexed. Yet, my husband still had to pay a few dollars to exit the parking lot. Ideal place to park is open, uncovered parking lot for unlimited time either in Port Credit parking lot or on the left on Port St E. Posta Italbar was spacious and bright. I love how you can overlook out into the patio and into the lake which makes it a great place for brunch/dinner in the summer. They offered complimentary bread with olive oil and balsamic vinegar for dipping while you wait for your order. Diavola Pizza (5/5) was delicious. It's not as spicy as we thought it would have been but they did leave pepper flakes and chilli oil which heightened the spiciness of the dishes we ordered. The pizza dough itself had the a perfectly balanced texture between crispiness, chewiness and airiness. It was loaded with toppings as well. We did ask for no black olives since one of us was not too keen on those. Bolognese (5/5) was enjoyable. It was savoury and the meat was tender. The overall flavour of this dish was balanced between the acidity of the tomato sauce and the creaminess of the parmagiano. Grilled Calamari (3.5/5) was okay. The overall flavour was dull. The squid itself was cooked perfectly. It was tender and had a nice char to it. Assorted Dessert Board was decent. It included a Nutella cheesecake (4/5), Nutella funnel cake (5/5) and a tiramisu cake (3/5). The Nutella funnel cake was a favourite at our table. The funnel cake itself was crispy with a soft and airy interior. The cheesecake wasn't overly sweet which we liked but it did feel a bit too dense for our liking. The tiramisu cake was okay. It lacked the coffee flavour that we typically enjoy in any tiramisu-flavoured desserts. The service itself was pretty slow. It took awhile for our server to come and introduce herself and for our food to arrive, especially the dessert board which surprisingly took the longest. It was also hard to catch our server's attention. This could be because of how busy they were but it seemed like there were plenty of staff at the time of our visit. This made us feel as if the service shouldn't have been as slow as it should have been. I came here for dinner on a Friday night and it was decently busy. We had a reservation and we were seated right away. We ordered wine, burrata, pappardelle, and chicken piccata. The burrata was delicious although I would have preferred bread over the crackers because they were quite hard. The pasta was delicious, didn't look like a lot but I was full by the end, I asked for chilli oil which made it that much better. The chicken was also delicious. The service was great, staff was lovely and the food came out pretty quick and hot. There was live music and it was overall a pleasant experience. read more

Not sure why this is rated so low??? Food: 4.5/5 I'm a little critical on Italian food but really liked this place! The mushroom pizza and cheese bowl pasta were both 4.5/5 (not pictured). To be fair I didn't love my main, which was the chicken breast and mashed potatoes entree, but the pizza and cheese pasta appetizers were sooo good!! Atmosphere: 5/5 came for a milestone birthday, and got a private area, it was perfect and a beautiful, fancy setting. The service here was amazing. He was so friendly and had to deal with so many of us for like four hours! So good for the waiter on bearing with a large group of us. The ambiance of this place is very nice, right by the water and great private area for a birthday. We ordered a ton of food! First, the aperol spritz tower was great and tasted better than what I had in Italy. The pepperoni pizza was amazing too the dough was fresh and it's wood oven pizza. Burrata tasted fresh as well and very light. Had some cheese from the charcuterie board which was delicious. Love love love the flaming cheese wheel pasta Omggg! Came on a Sunday for lunch. Waited about 20 minutes for a table on the back patio which was lovely. Umbrella didn't help much as it was very sunny (not complaining) and there were dividers between tables Our server got switched before ordering and it was quite busy. They ran out of gnocchi but during Covid we have been more understanding and continue to support local. HOWEVER, I ordered the baby gem salad without cheese and was told it was a substantial salad and filling. I got a sad portion with lots of yellow lettuce from the centre that was brown on the edges. I asked for it to be replaced and the kitchen staff told our server they could replace it but it may look the same because that's how the lettuce is cut. I asked for the caprese salad instead with no cheese. It never arrived. The rest of my fam finished their meals and we were still waiting. We told the server to cancel it and bring our bill. Hubby had the ricotta and toast with fig and said it was ok. One son had ravioli and thoroughly enjoyed it. Son #2 had the caprese salad with cheese and enjoyed it. In the end we were not charged for the salad and they sent the salad home with me. I think I should just order gf pasta as they are popular for their pastas. Came here for brunch and the prices were good $14-$19 and the food was large, tasty and well presented. Brunch is available on Saturday and Sunday from 11am to 4pm. The place is advertised as a waterfront, but it really isn't. It's underneath a building and not near the lake at all. The patio gives a partial view of the boat dock. Snug harbour is still the best location wise. The patio wasn't anything special, but the inside did look nice. Brunch items come with two eggs. Tried the lamb meatballs, which was not salty enough. Also tried the pork, which was a hefty size, with a lot fat. Overall, very nice presentation and large size. Taste was ok. I just had a drink here. I have been hearing and seeing this place on social media and the reviews are great. So just before heading to the rib fest I popped in for a quick drinks. I was immediately greeted and requested for a seat inside. I walked through their patio which was very breezy but a little too sunny for me. Before I entered they had a separate bar outside too ! I sat at the bar inside. I was given three menus: a bar menu, wine list and cocktails. The bar tender was nice and recommended the 'love letter'. Made with gin, orange syrup, and lime juice. The drink was too sweet for me. Not my flavour at all. Later I noticed the drink was suppose to be served with a lemon swirl, instead I got a slice floating in the middle. Swirl would have been nice. I did chat with one server and he recommended I come back and try their ravioli. Maybe...I shall revisit for food again. On my way out, I noticed they have a small deli where you can purchase sandwiches and small pastries. The ambience is trendy, new and super nice. Would love to return here again soon. Anyways, I wish I was told when making the reservations that the street access was fenced off and that there is underground parking as we parked on the street and have to go around the complex to enter. For the drinks, we've ordered the following: LOVE LETTER 16.00 2.5 OZ Beefeater, strawberry jasmine syrup, Bodegas Maron Oloroso sherry, lemon juice FLUID SPRITZ 18.00 2.5 OZ Evan Williams Black, blood orange puree, housemade Pomegranate hibiscus falernum, Brachetto d Aqui, soda The Love Letter was an interesting concept, this drink comes with an envelop as a mat with a real lipstick mark. It's neat but again not worth that price point. Nothing to write home about. For the appetizer, I've attempted to order VONGOLE OREGANATE $18.00 Baked littleneck clams, parsley, bread crumbs, lemon, garlic and olive oil. However, the waitress told me they don't have that. This review has been a long time coming but I kept either coming to Posta when they were too busy to seat me or I wasn't in the area for a long while, so I was thrilled to be in the area for a meeting and getting to stop in for lunch this week. Walking in I think I was only one of 2-3 customers there so I just asked to be seated at the bar so I wouldn't be a bother or anything. If you have yet to visit Posta you're in for a treat, they have easily one of the best locations of any restaurant in Port Credit. Right on the water. Snug Harbour still has the first place spot but I kinda like Posta's better (especially because of their magnificent summertime patio) because you get the entire Marina in your view and the Lighthouse as you look out! I started with my signature drink order--the old fashioned. For me it was pretty good, a little too much soda/water in it so while there was a bit more volume than your typical it was a bit watered down for my taste. This is the only stumble really in my opinion. I enjoyed the complimentary Bread and Oil with vinegar before my lunch arrived, but knowing I was ordered pasta I kept my bread for pasta sauce dipping. For my meal I ordered their Parpadelle bolognese. Upon initial presentation I was disappointed because the portion looked very small. Then I realized it wasn't in fact a small portion but a pretty big portion just served in tight spiral. The bolognese was amazing, well cooked, perfectly cooked. Being someone who grew up cooking pasta and making sauce at home I know the difference between a quickly tossed together sauce and something that has been cooked slow on low for a long time - their sauce was slow and low to the max, all the flavours married together! My server was amazing, she not only was the hostess, but the bartender and server and handled all the things with style and grace. Super helpful. And then she convinced me to order dessert somehow. Damn! I went with the Torta al Miele cicoccolato. YUM! Overall a really good spot, I think I'd like to come test out their service when they're really busy since I got THE BEST service but service when it's busy seems to be an issue according to other reviews. Food variety was good, presentation was inviting, flavours and textures on the mark. However having a chilled salad and hot mains served at the same time ruined the experience. The servers were cordial, attentive and knowledgable. The wine list featured too many out of stock items when one was looking forward to something special for a significant life event. Not impressed with the open table reservation system couldn't make a reservation for the start time we wanted but when we arrived there were lots of open tables for our selection. Overlooking the Credit river was particularly inviting. The background noise and music was pleasant. Signage for underground parking seemed a little over the top. Posta is a beautifully located restaurant right on lakeshore. After the revival of the old post office we were pleasantly surprised to see the opening of Posta. We decided it would be the perfect venue for my brothers 25 birthday. We went at around 6 with reservations being made earlier in the day on a Friday. Everyone parked at the library across the street which made it really easy to just walk over at the lights. We had some difficulty finding the entrance and ended up walking around the entire building with two entrances being closed. Note to self the entrance is at the back of the left hand side of the building! The service was great and we were promptly seated. We each ordered a different meal but unfortunately they weren't very good. I had the seafood pasta and some of the oysters were not opened after being brought out *red flag* the pasta also didn't have much flavour and so I coated it with Parmesan. My brother had the trio pizza and man oh man the cheese was disgusting it was thick and tasted like nail polish remover. We had a party of six and nobody was a fan. My brothers girlfriend had the pasta made out of the pasta wheel and the cheese was soooo strong they didn't eat it. Overall it was an overpriced not so good restaurant and I do not recommend you waste your money here. Second time was a charm like I said in my previous review they will get their 4 stars if the service was better. Service was way better this time around maybe last time the server had a bad day and wasn't up to par. Food wise I had to try their cheese wheel risotto after seeing the table beside me last time. The Posta Parmigiano wheel is finished table side with choice of penne or risotto, I ordered the risotto as it was the chefs recommended item. The portion is good for 2 like the menu suggests. This dish tastes great risotto done al dante perfect amount of cheese as it burns and melts the cheese wheel, this is dish has no meat but sometimes we just need something that is plain. We also ordered the Rocco pizza which has potato, pork sausage, caramelized onions and fior de latte cheese on a super thin crust. This pizza was delicious as well the cheese was salty but not too much and everything complimented perfectly. The zucchini fritte was ok I found that it was slightly too oily and the zucchini flavour didn't relaly shine through. We also order the frittura de pesce which is basically a medley of squid, shrimps, peppers and an aioli dipping sauce. This dish was good and the portion is plentiful for sharing. read more

As out first time coming to Posta in the Port Credit area. The establishment offers an underground parking free for the first 2 hours which was a nice surprise. The restaurant is fairly large and modernly decorated inside. For a Saturday dinner around 7pm, it wasn't as busy as we had expected however we did make reservations. For our main course we ordered fresh pasta - Green Guitar Fisherman, Pesce Luccio and the Branzino. The fresh pasta from the Green Guitar was cooked perfectly. I really enjoyed that the pasta was made fresh. There was a good amount of seafood in the dish, however there was not enough sauce. The Pesce Luccio and the Branzino were delicious. The fish had a perfect crisp to it. The seasoning was nice for both fish dishes The mashed cauliflower for the Pesce had a hint of spice but it wasn't overpowering. As for the Branzino, if you like chickpeas, it sure is a nice healthy change from the usually bed of mashed potatoes. As for the dessert we got the Panna Cotta Al Cioccolata and the Angioletti Fritti. The Panna Cotta was like a little cheese cake and the Cioccolata was like eating doughnuts. They were both very delicious. The service was sadly unorganized. The servers were all over the place, sound all sorts of jobs. Our server was rearly around to be of any service that it was difficult to ask someone for beverage refills. Our empty dishes took quite sometime to get picked up. Had an amazing girls night with my bestie. We sat by the window enjoying delicious food. Got the papardelle with out the meat and mushroom pizza. Thr pizza was thin, chewy and gobsmacked with garlic chive flavors! They were very accomodating for my dietary needs. Really wanted papardelle pasta so they tossed it in the spaghetti sauce~~~ and boy was it soft and delicious in their tomato sauce with a huge portion of house made fresh mozzarella! Their different chili and sauce options are all flavorful and pack a punch on their own! Ended on a delicious tiramisu that was beautifully plated. Food portions are huge and well worth the money. Have been here several times and my most favourite restaurant in the area.

Service at this harbour front restaurant was decent since it was a new spot and front of the house staff were just learning the menu. Lots of questions about their menu items needed some back and forth from out server. Their prices are higher than most places in the area and they defend them by providing high quality ingredients to their dishes, and even their drinks ($6 Shirley Temple). Charcuterie board was probably the most expensive I've seen in a while. Their manager proudly explained their price reflects the product coming directly from Italy. Yummy nonetheless. Pizze was a soft gummy style dough with nice flavorful pockets of sauce and bubbles. Overall the food was delicious but be prepared to open your wallet a little more. read more

First I started off by emailing the restaurant as per instructed by their phone recording for large partiesreservations after waiting a couple of days of waiting for ananswer(still haven't gotten one back) I decided to call therestaurant and ask for a reservation over the phone I was instructed by the hostess that they do not take reservations and that if I wanted to have a seating of 11 people that I would just have to come in earlier and wait for a table which I had no problem doing. Fast forward to Saturday I arrive at the restaurant around 5:30-5:45 inquiring about a sitting for 11 people and was told that I wouldn't have a problem but couldn't be seated until 6pm when the rest of the party showed up and I completely understood,I went to the bar for a drink in the mean time. 6pm comes We head back to the hostess stand and she's advises me it'll be a few minutes to get the table set up and we'll be seated after. We head to our table and a few minutes apart the rest of the party shows up. Our waitress Tania comes and introduced herself and said she would be taking care of us and started with our drink orders. After receiving our drinks we decided to wait to order our food a little bit just so we can all talk and mingle. Our waitress comes back after 15-20 minutes and we were ready to order. About half way Through the table of getting the order this gentleman who claim to be the owner comes to our table heated and yelling at us asking how we got this table who took our reservation and that they couldn't accommodate us after we had already been sitting for an hour. I told him that we didn't have a reservation and that we were a walk in and he should probably go talk to his hostess who sat us instead of coming over to our table hot and heavy. He then left and came back again after a few minutes for the second time telling us that it was a Saturday night and he couldn't accommodate 11 people and pretty telling us we needed to leave and also telling us that his kitchen would not be able to handle that many order. I said if we had to wait a little longer for our food we would be more then okay with that cause we were enjoying the company of our party. He then come back for a THIRD time and told us he couldn't accommodate us because a party of 23 just came in and his kitchen staff wouldnt be able to handle it. He then processes to tell me that this party of 23 people had a reservation and I questioned him and asked him how they had a reservation when they don't take reservation he seem to contradict himself quite a lot when talking to us. Mind you this whole time I was at one end of the table and this gentleman was at the other end of the table and refuse to come over to my side and talk to me but rather yell across the table with no manners. I then explain to him that I had emailed the restaurant asking for a reservation and the whole situation and he said well I don't believe that you emailed me what name is it under and questioned me about everything that I had told him pretty much calling me a liar and then at that point We decided to get up and leave. You can really tell a lot about a business by how they treat their clients. I'm going to approach this review in a unique way - from the perspective of a media practitioner attending an event and as a regular customer. I attended a going-away party for a good friend of mine a couple days back, as of this writing. When I got to the venue, I was told that there was a $25 cover for every person coming into the restaurant (whether it was for just the party or everyone wasn't clear). I was also told that this was non-negotiable, and that they didn't have an ATM on-site either, so I had to whip out my credit card and pay sight unseen. Even with the caveat that I was a member of the media (and gave them my card, to boot), they didn't budge, which suggests to me that they have no understanding of what publicity is or how to react when someone who's covering an event and may have to leave early walks through their door. That initial experience left a bad taste in my mouth, and I soon found myself wondering if I'd wandered into a high-priced tourist trap. Luckily, the rest of the experience was better. There's no doubt that this is the most-staffed restaurant in Port Credit, if not Mississauga. The aloof hostess gave way to a lineup of pizza cooks and chefs furiously turning out pizzas while a legion of busboys and waitresses buzzed around the restaurant, which has an expansive patio and plenty of seating. Make no mistake - this IS a marquee destination if you're looking for a site with great views. It overlooks the docks near the Credit River bridge and has plenty of unobstructed views. The party included a catered menu that featured three types of pizza - from what I could tell, this included the Margherita and Quattro Formaggio varieties, as well as one I couldn't identify that had mandarin orange slices on it. They also had what I considered the standout item - polenta fries (cooked to perfection) - and small bowls of what appeared to be rigatoni in a cream sauce. I was so-so on the pizza and pasta, but the polenta was fantastic and I found myself going back for seconds and thirds. Service was very prompt and quick, and a waitress appeared in a flash when a slightly-inebriated guest/realtor broke a wine glass. Easily a standout aspect of the visit. (Also, a shoutout to the owner [manager?], who explained to a friend of mine about how the restaurant can handle customers with allergies, and riddled off an impressive list of alternate dishes and preparation options - save for celiacs. Was quite surprised to hear how thorough they are in that respect.) I could see this being a prime date night location, as it has just the right ambiance and site to handle a lot of people in a more intimate setting, an opinion that was reinforced by how busy it was inside before I left (and this was already at 3 p.m.). I found myself lounging under one of the gazebos with a group of friends, and ended up ordering a mojito (it pays to have good friends), which I was actually very surprised by. Say what you will about the overpriced drinks ($14-18 a pop? wew lad), but they knew how to make that drink - a subtle mint flavour that sneaks up on you, with all the fixings, presented in a classy art-style glass. Points for that one. I could see myself definitely coming to POSTA regularly, but I'll need another visit to fully evaluate the site. Considering this was on my list of restaurants to visit ASAP, I left with some mixed feelings. Just opened in Jan 2018, Posta is a very good sized restaurant with a chic, contemporary look to it. Even though it looks upscale, it feels very approachable, and I was comfortable dining here in casual clothing. The restaurant has different sections - a takeout "Xpress" counter for quick grab and go foods; a pizza counter, and a dining room area. A fully stocked bar is right in the centre of the restaurant and makes for a great place to be if you just want to stop by for drinks. Posta is pulling out all the stops here. The Executive Chef, Mixologist and the Pizzaiuolo are all award winning talents - and it really shows because everything here is fantastic. We started off our night with some cocktails. Their mixologist has a one of a kind "farm to bar" mixology program, sourcing seasonal ingredients from nearby local farms whenever possible. We tried The Love Letter (Beefeater, strawberry jasmine syrup, Bodegas Maron Oloroso sherry, lemon juice, Bergamot mist); and the Rusty Nail (Ballantines, house made Drambuie scotch, Ontario honey liqueur) and both are great. I loved the extra touch on these cocktails - The Love Letter actually comes with an envelop with a kiss imprinted; and the Rusty nail does have a "rusty nail" (a clean nail with cinnmon coated on it). Neat! The pizza here are some of the best pizzas I have had in the GTA. The crust is nicely crispy with a light fluffy dough - and I highly recommend the Funghi Pizza (Fior di latte, talleggio, mixed mushrooms, black garlic, truffle oil, chives). Absolutely delicious. We were also treated to an off-menu award winning pizza by the Pizzaiuolo - a pizza that looks like a Clam shell, with a Burrata "pearl" inside it. It was a truly special experience! I highly recommend getting the Posta Parmigiano Wheel, which tosses the risotto/pasta of the day in a big cheese wheel after setting it on fire with vodka. We had a mushroom risotto this way and it was a joy to watch and eat. Among the pasta we've tasted, I really enjoyed the Agnolotti di Mare, which is jam packed with Lobster, crab, sheeps milk cheese and semi-dried tomato, in a pine nut and saffron butter sauce - Delicious! Went on Saturday to celebrate a birthday. A reservation for 12 was made 1 week in advance and when we arrived, they had a table of 8 waiting for us. We were told to wait at the wrong table, awkwardly until ours was ready. Waiter refused to leave a pitcher of water on the table so we had to constantly wave him over to refill glasses. Small glasses plus large group equates thirsty individuals who shouldn't have to ask for tap water! When asked what the risotto of the day was, waiter confirmed it was butternut squash. When meal arrived, we received a disappointing, flavourless, poorly presented dish (see attached). I asked the waiter whether it was butternut squash and he had to confirm with the kitchen who informed him that they ran out and so instead, we were served a fennel, parsley, lemon risotto with no warning - bland, unappetizing and unappealing to say the least. Luckily there were no allergies to any of the ingredients. When paying the bill, the manager denied ever having butternut squash risotto and expected us to pay full price for a plate of mushy watered rice. Waiter denied telling me the risotto was butternut squash. Unacceptable and will certainly not recommend for dining in the future. read more

First I started off by emailing the restaurant as per instructed by their phone recording for large partiesreservations after waiting a couple of days of waiting for ananswer(still haven't gotten one back) I decided to call therestaurant and ask for a reservation over the phone I was instructed by the hostess that they do not take reservations and that if I wanted to have a seating of 11 people that I would just have to come in earlier and wait for a table which I had no problem doing. Fast forward to Saturday I arrive at the restaurant around 5:30-5:45 inquiring about a sitting for 11 people and was told that I wouldn't have a problem but couldn't be seated until 6pm when the rest of the party showed up and I completely understood,I went to the bar for a drink in the mean time. 6pm comes We head back to the hostess stand and she's advises me it'll be a few minutes to get the table set up and we'll be seated after. We head to our table and a few minutes apart the rest of the party shows up. Our waitress Tania comes and introduced herself and said she would be taking care of us and started with our drink orders. After receiving our drinks we decided to wait to order our food a little bit just so we can all talk and mingle. Our waitress comes back after 15-20 minutes and we were ready to order. About half way Through the table of getting the order this gentleman who claim to be the owner comes to our table heated and yelling at us asking how we got this table who took our reservation and that they couldn't accommodate us after we had already been sitting for an hour. I told him that we didn't have a reservation and that we were a walk in and he should probably go talk to his hostess who sat us instead of coming over to our table hot and heavy. He then left and came back again after a few minutes for the second time telling us that it was a Saturday night and he couldn't accommodate 11 people and pretty telling us we needed to leave and also telling us that his kitchen would not be able to handle that many order. I said if we had to wait a little longer for our food we would be more then okay with that cause we were enjoying the company of our party. He then come back for a THIRD time and told us he couldn't accommodate us because a party of 23 just came in and his kitchen staff wouldnt be able to handle it. He then processes to tell me that this party of 23 people had a reservation and I questioned him and asked him how they had a reservation when they don't take reservation he seem to contradict himself quite a lot when talking to us. Mind you this whole time I was at one end of the table and this gentleman was at the other end of the table and refuse to come over to my side and talk to me but rather yell across the table with no manners. I then explain to him that I had emailed the restaurant asking for a reservation and the whole situation and he said well I don't believe that you emailed me what name is it under and questioned me about everything that I had told him pretty much calling me a liar and then at that point We decided to get up and leave.
