After a day at Wonderland, my wife and I decided to skip the overpriced park food and come here for dinner--and we had no regrets. It was a fantastic meal from start to finish! Our server, Frank, looked after us wonderfully--helpful, accommodating, and genuinely kind. The food spoke for itself. The Spinach and Ricotta Dumplings were packed with flavor and absolutely delicious. The pasta dishes were incredible: my Carbonara was perfectly creamy and smoky, and my wife's Mushroom Truffle Madeli was rich, indulgent, and bursting with flavor. The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, making it a perfect spot to relax after a long day and really enjoy your meal. We're dying to come back for another visit--it was that good. Highly recommend!

    Spaghetti Day! Yum!

Scaddabush had their Spaghetti Day today on January 4. The place was packed for lunch. We had 4 spaghetti dishes to pick from that were half off today. Yeah!! The service was decent and the meals came out promptly even though it wasn't hot. I felt the meatballs were not the same size for everyone on the table. I still enjoy my pasta as always. But consistency would be nice!

Meh, the Scaddabush is ok. The service was super friendly, ambience is nice, but the food is ... chain like. But that's what the Scaddabush is at the end, a chain. A chain with high prices.

Came here for a company lunch w/ some colleagues on a wednesday. Parking lot is huge and there's no trouble at all finding parking. The waiter got us started w/ drinks right away and asked if there were any dietary restrictions (there were quite a few in our group). Bruschetta fresca: Nothing special about this. The tomatoes were really sweet which was nice but I've never been a big fan of bruschetta in the first place. Calamari fritti: Generous portion of squid but the batter wasn't crispy on a lot of the pieces (kinda soggy actually). The seasoning was good and it came w/ TWO dips as opposed to one which was nice. Spinach & artichoke dip: The dip was FIRE but we ordered gluten-free bread which again was on the dry side. The waiter sensed this and gave us some regular toasted crostini to go w/ the dip. The crostini was wayyy better and not as dry. Margherita pizza: The pizzas are done in a flatbread long style rather than a traditional round pie. The margherita to me didn't look that great as the crust seemed undercooked. My colleague said it tasted good to him though lol. Spicy smoked bacon & egg pizza: This one looked a lot more appetizing and interesting. The crust was a lot more well-cooked than the margherita we had. Egg on pizza is actually kinda interesting and sort of worked! Sausage & fennel fettuccine: Probably the best dish out of the bunch if I'm picking one. The portion was very decent, the noodles were coated well in sauce and the noodles were al dente. If I ever go back to a scaddabush I'm most likely gonna stick to ordering pasta as it's the safe bet. There was also a generous amount of sausage running through the dish.

Haven't visited Scaddabush in a while but I always had a good experience. So, tonight we decided to visit the Oakville branch to have dinner. Booked a reservation just in case since it's a Friday night. Place was busy but got seated promptly. I always love the atmosphere. The lighting is just right not too dark or bright. The music not too loud that you can still carry on a conversation. We started off with drinks- got the peach and mango Bellini and the hubby got mango basil smash and drinks were lovely. 10/10 For Appetizer we got the charity bread and no complaints there too 8/10 For mains we ordered truffle steak ( 6/10), spaghetti carbonara( 9/10) and smoked bacon and egg pizza ( 8/10) We ordered the steak medium rare and it was more of med/well done. I ordered the steak bec of the truffles but it was non existent, plus steak too well done for my liking. Like my son said, it was more of muffle than a truffle . Can't leave without trying desserts so ordered tiramisu. I am picky with tiramisu bec it's one of my fave desserts and I must say they did this right. 10/10

Off course we end the nite with a very good dinner! I love everything about scaddabush! The taste 5/5 soo tasty and well cooked ! Try the sangria!! Super Good! The cheesecake is very light and oohhh sooo good and worth the price! Ambiance is 5/5-very classy and homey! Definitely for a girls nite out! All in all I will definitely come back for a Italian craving try and taste you won't get disappointed!

Came here on a Wednesday night for a dinner with friends. Made a reservation through their site, which was easy to do and got in quickly. The food tasted really good and was warm when they came out, but the service took a long time. Although it wasn't very busy in the restaurant, I felt that the service was quite slow and the servers were managing too many tables in their area. I would recommend coming if you have extra time to spend, but not if you're in a rush.

Man, I'm not usually a fan of chain restaurants but Scaddabush is (or was) one of those chains where I could turn a blind eye every now and then. Sure, it's not authentic Italian, but the ambiance is nice, the food is made fresh, and they have something for everyone. But of the 3 locations I've been too, this was by far the worst. The fresh mozzarella, typically served lukewarm-warm, was cold. And my pasta, typically dressed in a rich, meaty sauce was on the verge of watery.

Fantastic. An excellent marriage of Italian and Canadian culture. Food, drink, service and price are excellent. Will definitely return.

We eventually found it. Upon arrival, the door swung open and struck a seated guest -- a sign of just how small the space is. The restaurant was full except for one four-top (clearly ours), and we stood awkwardly in the entrance -- which is essentially inside the dining room -- waiting to be acknowledged. When greeted, we were asked if we had a reservation. We said yes. "Table for eight?" we were asked, which felt impossible given the size of the room. We clarified four, and were pointed to the only open table. No name was requested; we realistically could have just walked in and taken it. The space is starkly lit with aggressive bright white lighting that feels more clinical than cozy. The artwork is interesting and gives a gallery-like feel -- it seems the restaurant is aiming for a downtown Toronto wine bar aesthetic, but it doesn't quite land. Our table was missing water glasses, and the stemware was mismatched -- not in an intentional, charming way, but more in a "we ran out" way. Once seated, we weren't acknowledged or offered water for nearly 20 minutes. Not rushing guests is one thing; leaving them feeling forgotten is another. When our server finally arrived, the service set the tone for the evening. One glass of water was poured before he realized another was missing. He disappeared, returned with a glass, inspected it mid-pour, then walked away again (dirty glass). After several more trips and long gaps, everyone eventually received water -- about 15 minutes later. He was polite and friendly, just clearly untrained. He shared that the owner is also the sommelier, cook, and server, and that he liked working there because he wasn't expected to know much about wine -- an interesting admission for a wine bar. The owner greeted us warmly but asked only one guest about wine preferences -- ironically the only non-wine drinker at the table. The concept appeared to be sommelier-led, though this was never explained. If that is the intention, engaging the entire table is essential. That said, the wines themselves were enjoyable; the service surrounding them was not. The Taste of Oakville menu promised three curated 3-oz pours paired with a charcuterie board for two. The pours arrived unevenly and slowly, with little explanation of the pairings. The charcuterie boards were plain and inconsistent between tables despite containing similar items -- basic fruit, crostini, simple cured meats, small portions of brie, and two slices of truffle cheese. No crackers, spreads, or thoughtful touches elevated the experience, and presentation varied noticeably. Our second wine pour didn't arrive until our mains, and service moved so slowly we requested a wine list to order a bottle. We were told there is no wine list -- "we're not that kind of restaurant." Instead, all reds are $80 and all whites $70, and the owner selects the bottle for you after asking only red or white. The concept might work if explained upfront; without context, it was confusing. At one point, noticing my empty glass, our server poured me a random red -- which turned out to be the same wine as our first pour -- and then left without serving anyone else. We had to remind staff we were still waiting for our second curated pour. Nothing about the experience felt curated. The most surprising moment of the night came when our mains arrived. As we lifted our appetizer plates -- still holding olive pits, fruit rinds, and crumbs -- the servers told us not to worry about clearing them and proceeded to place our main dishes directly on top of the used plates. I'm still shocked. I wouldn't do that at home, let alone expect it at a Lakeshore, or quite frankly, any restaurant. Two of us ordered the tagliatelle, which was tasty but contained only two small pieces of short rib -- and was difficult to enjoy while staring at discarded rinds beneath the plate. The other two ordered brisket sliders: two sliders, no sides. They tasted good but left diners hungry. One guest joked they kept thinking the fruit rinds were fries -- unfortunately accurate. We tried to make the best of the evening, but it never delivered the cozy wine-and-charcuterie experience we had anticipated -- dim lighting, thoughtful pairings, something special. After finishing our meal, we requested our bills and reminded staff we were still waiting for the third curated pour. We were told "five minutes." Those five minutes never came. Eventually, wanting simply to leave, we paid a single combined bill and sorted it out ourselves. Dinner for four totaled $460. This was not the boutique Lakeshore dining experience we expected, and ultimately, it was deeply disappointing.

We were intrigued by it's fusion tapas style, even though we had originally thought that it was a Spanish tapas place. I was with a party of six, and we were served by an extremely friendly server that night. We ordered some tacos, flatbreads and a mango papaya salad. Each dish was quite well prepared, and since it was a mix of a lot of different cultures' foods, I was satisfied with the level of authenticity. However, because they were trying to do a lot of different styles, I feel like the quality was not as good as if they did something more focused. Also, I think it would be worth it to consider some more substantial dishes like a fried rice, etc. I know it's a tapas focused place, but I found that for a party of 6, I still didn't feel too satisfied after trying all the dishes we got. I hope that they can continue to upgrade their menu, because I think it's a really nice place already, but improvements can be made. I also think that since it's mostly serve in a back alley patio right now, there were a lot of wasps and it wasn't the cleanest back alley, so that is my other reason for giving this place 3 stars. I'm sure that when they get back to serving in their unit, the quality of the experience will go up!

The friendly guy on the phone, Andy, said they could do veg tacos as the tortillas are corn and they have veggies. This was good because in the past they refused to do anything and said it was best if I ate elsewhere. The server was surprised Andy told me this but she checked with the chef and he did make the vegan tacos. Although they did get soggy fast and break apart, the flavour was fresh and tasty. My son had the chicken tacos and did not enjoy the flavour so he wasted them. We had olives and spicy nuts to start. The nuts were sweet and salty but not very crunchy. The spice flavour was good. Hubby had the short ribs and the meatballs in bravas sauce.. he said both were fine but the meatballs were quite big so he had to pack them to take home. They came with toast. We sat on the small patio in front but they have indoor seating too and a huge patio in back. It was not busy on a Monday at 6:30pm but I have seen the place packed full on weekends.

Having been back here close to a dozen times over the last decade, I can firmly say this place is the perfect combination of gastro-ingenuity and traditional staples done right. The vibe is "industrial chic," which is essentially code for "I'm feeling something fancy, but still want to be able to visit in my Kirkland shorts." The food has a heavy focus on local ingredients, with flavors that are incredibly tight and well-balanced. The steak frites are so tender I'm pretty sure they were cut with a polite suggestion rather than a knife. The scallops are meaty and perfectly cooked. And of course the burger is absolutely mouthwatering and make it the tempting default option during each visit. The appetizers are all fantastic, Kat and the Korean cauliflower takes the cake! For desert, their house cheesecake is phenomenal, and their in house amber ale is full and flavourful. Penne a la vodka references the noodle and sauce type, if you're going to embellish it with pork it's a very good idea to indicate this in the menu. Very not cool. Aside from being extraordinarily upset about this, it actually wasn't any good. The pasta was overcooked, way too soft. The chicken parm was tough. The pizza had no sauce and was made with a garbage store bought crust. Cherry tomatoes just dropped on top, didn't even seem cooked, never mind blistered.
