Coming to this USPS was a breath of fresh air!!!! The young lady working today was welcoming and friendly. She greeted me and asked if I needed help with anything. I mean not with an attitude....like the young lady was happy to be at work and it really caught me off guard. She even listened to me rant about my other USPScapades and we laughed about it... Lots of parking. Doors are unlocked for some of the services to be accessible like dropping off smaller packages. Note they don't have the larger silver one like other post offices. Lights seem to stay on which is good for late night drop offs. read more

I have never left a review for a post office, but I had to today. Erica is amazing and should be acknowledged. She was the only person working and she quickly, and efficiently assisted everyone in line. The line was to the door. It was lunchtime and people kept coming in. Erica was kind and professional to everyone in line. It could have been a stressful situation, but she was pleasant to everyone in the line. The post office was clean and well laid out. I dropped off a package in-person on Wednesday morning. It was supposed to arrive at its destination by Friday (special priority). Well today is Friday and we are having to cancel our first baby's gender reveal party with our family in Seattle because this facility failed to do its job and get our package back to the lab. Hopefully they can still use it once it arrives but yikes. Never going back to this location and recommend you also avoid it if you like getting the service you paid for. read more

I had the most horrible experience at this location trying to send off my package. The lady name was WEN she was rude, and not helpful when I asked questions. Then she laughed when I asked her questions and just didn't care to help me find a solution to my problem! WEN definalty needs to either be trained in her job again or just not work here at all. read more

You may think 4 stars is a little high and that I must be a paid shill but hear me out. I saw all the negative reviews here and went in with super low expectations so maybe thats why I came out of the Hybla Valley post office with such a positive impression. Yes, I had to wait in line for about 5-6 minutes so that I could buy stamps but all 3 available windows were staffed on a Saturday afternoon and the staff seem to be processing people at a reasonable government speed. Once I got up to the counter, I smiled and greeted the woman and she smiled back. I ordered my stamps and paid in about 2 minutes. While waiting in line I witnessed another customer being assisted with a parcel by possibly the most cheerful person i've ever seen in a post office. Maybe my experience there was unusual but until I experience something different i'll be going here for my mail needs. read more

This location deserves zero Stars. It is a filthy post office. It smells. It does not have machine or computer where you can buy stamps or shipping labels. The employees are slow and uninformed. Every time I've been there they've grabbed my packages and almost ripped them. They refuse to sell postage if it doesn't have a label on it even after explaining that the label is in the car. They make you wait in line again. I wish that the USPS would automate this location and fire its employees. read more

The postal workers here are rarely friendly and almost intentionally obtuse. There is always a wait, even when there are only two of you in line. It isn't DMV bad, but it is close. I will say that when I saw their shredded excuse for an American flag fluttering in the wind, I immediately called to report it and the issue was addressed rather promptly. Oh, and how can a post office not sell postcard stamps. How weird is that? I love postcards and send them often to people with just a fun little hello. Who wants to get bills all the time, right? Heck, I sent my sister almost one a day when she was in basic training. This place is also rather small and a little sketchy. I laid down my tape for about a minute and turned around and found it gone. I asked if anyone had seen it, and thankfully, a man reluctantly pulled it from his jacket pocket, but really? Come on. Oh, and the people who work here seem to enjoy being rude to you for no apparent reason at all. Yeah, I go here, but only because I live near. Not my favorite place. read more

The worst post office I've ever been to. The worst workers. Extremely unfriendly and unhelpful. Wouldn't mail my package because it was not taped properly and when I asked for tape to fix it they said they didn't have any. What a waste of my time. They should be fired. read more

Before I get into this review, I must state for the record that I am Asian. That having mentioned, the Korean clerk is always there of the 4 times I've been in so far, and she always acted like she woke up on the wrong side of the bed, didn't want to be there, or were forced to stand there & moved a few stamps around at gunpoint. At least her shortcoming is very consistent, and I very much can expect that same performance the next time I come in. I told my wife that I was looking for the secret blinks, like please call 9-1-1 & get me outta here kinda blink, but she didn't give me any of that. Some of the mail delivery clerks of this post office are horrible. They always put my neighbor's mail in my mail box, also the mail of the other buildings with my apt number, they return my mail with written comment: 'This apt is vacant'. May be they are placing my mail in others mail box. I miss my mail a lot of times. Horrible workers of USPS at 5834C N Kings Hwy, Alexandria, VA 22303. Well to be honest if I could give ZERO stars I would The lady who delivers my mail from this post office always puts the mail in the wrong mailbox everyone in the community is having issues with not getting their mail I have complained over and over again I have spoken to several supervisors it has been 2 years of not getting all of my mail so I had to pay for a p.o. box to ensure I would receive my mail and even after doing so I am still having issues they are still not forwarding my mail to my p.o. box it is very unprofessional and aggravating to keep speaking to supervisors at this postal office because they pretend to care and nothing ever gets resolved. Plus there is always a long line I don't like this post office it's only a matter of convenience Plus some of the workers seem like they are only there for a check never a smile on their face or a friendly demeanor they look like they hate their job read more

I generally avoid this post office because the employees are always either brusque or just downright rude, which seems to be par for the course for most post offices. How hard is it to say "good morning" or "hello" even if just to mumble it? Also the wait is almost always long here, even when fewer than 3 customers are in line. This post office services my apartment building. The mailman refused to accept my "return to sender" mail at least twice. He should have taken it back because that mail didn't belong to me. Very rude. I prefer the post office in Belle Haven. read more
