Post Oak Grill reminded me of old fashioned, traditional "hotel food." The ambiance of the restaurant was a little dated, and the food was just ok overall. We didn't hate it, but we didn't love it either. There's free parking in the garage at least, but walking in through the back entrance is a little awkward because there's not a host stand in the back so you enter and feel kind of lost until a server is nice enough to help you. We came here for HRW lunch on a Wed around 12:45pm, it was very crowded, but we still somehow managed to get a table immediately. $20 for 3 courses is a steal in my book value wise. But overall the food was underwhelming to be honest. 1st course we tried their creamy pepper bisque, caesar salad, and mushroom ravioli. Portions are small, but the pepper bisque was the best tasting option. 2nd course we tried their barbeque trio, chicken scallopini, and their slow roasted pork tenderloin. All the entrees were just meh overall. Typical "hotel food" that consists of a protein, mashed potatoes, and simple roasted vegetables. Everything was good just nothing to be impressed by. Portions are relatively small. 3rd course we tried their carrot cake, key lime pie, and supposed to be mango sorbet. I say supposed to be mango sorbet because it was actually a lemon/lime sorbet instead of mango as advertised. Surprisingly though, the citrus sorbet was the best thing out of all 3 courses we tried. The sorbet reminded me of a very tart frozen lemonade, it was refreshing. The key lime pie and carrot cake were ok, but they were the thinnest slices possible portion wise. Service was good though. They took our order and food came out surprisingly fast. My only WARNING is that they don't honor the Yelp check in offer for a free iced tea or soda. In fact, the manager who's been there for 25 years, and the head chef were confused when I showed it to them. They thought it was a scam and told me no. Which I was ok with, they just made it sound like I was trying to scam them out of a miniscule $2.50 iced tea. I didn't really care about the drink, I just thought it was odd how they handled the situation. Would I come back? Ehh maybe.

My spouse and I, as well as 2 other parties, all had reservations for 5 pm. We all saw the the restaurant was closed. Lights off and parking lot empty. I called several times and no answer. We all waited until 5:20 before giving up. Since they didn't update their hours anywhere, we're now stuck trying to find a place that isn't packed on a Saturday night and can't find any restaurants that are taking people before 7:30pm. Why take reservations when you're closed? Really unprofessional.

Surf and turf only had one shrimp. Womp womp.

Went with a couple of friends for HRW. Inside was decently crowded, so we opted to sit on the patio because COVID. For a decently nice restaurant, you would expect the outside and inside to give the same vibe. It wasn't. I think because of COVID and more people wanting to sit outside, they should definitely put some funds towards renovation of the patio seating. Moving on. Everything else was great. Yummy jalapeño cornbread in the bread basket, great and strong cocktails, champagne sorbet to cleanse your palate. Service was spectacular and they often checked on us. I had the surf and turf. Wish there was more than one shrimp but it was fine. Desert was SO good -- pineapple bread pudding. I could have skipped the lobster bisque.

Food: 5/5 Service/Atmosphere: 3/5 I came here for a birthday dinner, party of 12, and I have mixed feelings. For starters, when I go to a restaurant that is $$$, I expect that type of service. There was 1 server for our large party. He was not friendly, he didn't tell us his name (we had to ask) and he wasn't very attentive. We were also in the back, away from all of the other guests and servers, making it difficult to get service when we needed it. The food however was very good. The fish was seasoned very well and it was very filling.

I came in solo for a quick HRW lunch. I would come back again and again just for the bread basket with the garlic herb butter so good! It wasn't too busy during lunch time and my waiter was nice and attentive but not smothering. I started with the wild mushroom ravioli, had the salmon as my main, and ended with the mango key lime pie. The food was really good my only complaint was I wish the pie was way colder so that when they sliced it it kept its composure but as you can see from my photo it looked a bit sad. Their regular lunch menu had some great selections that I'd come back to try. They do have a parking garage and validate your ticket.

Had a fantastic restaurant week experience here. So glad we came since I can't even recall how many years its been since I've been to this location! First, the staff were all so nice, welcoming and helpful. I live the hostess! And it was full and bustling on a Friday night both in the restaurant and the bar. Food was excellent. From the HRW menu, I tried: - shrimp appetizer - delicious and filling! - salad - also delicious and I appreciated the smaller size - pasta - picatta style and fabulous. I ended up talking this to go and it was divine the next day. Kindly, they threw in some of the delish bread and even butter! - amaretto cheesecake - also delicious and a fun treat They had a strawberry martini special that was really tasty. I wasn't sure what to expect but loved it. I also loved the little cookies at the exit you can take home Brennan's style! Great visit and value!

Was in the area and restaurant was part of Houston latin restaurant week and decided to try their food and it was amazing, service is awesome, food was delicious. Meat was tender and really good flavour. They have some fresh baked bread complimentary that had sausage and chives that was so good. Overall it was a great experience. FYI - Restaurant will validate parking

You have to understand this is a Valentine's Day review only. You know how busy it is on Valentine's Day so you have to understand you are going to get a little bit of wait time. Let me tell you how the night started. Went to go valet my vehicle there was only one guy doing all the work. He told me I'm gonna be the last person go ahead and park my car there in the middle of the street where the cars coming out of the parking garage are going to hit my car. I said are you sure I can't scoot up a little bit? He told me I'm not dealing with your shit go park your f$&@ing car inside the garage. I let it go because I understand he looked short staffed. As we go into the restaurant there is a 30 minute wait just to check in. We checked in and the lady told me it's gonna be about a 45 to an hour wait past our reservation. We went to the lounge and waited 30 more minutes for a cocktail. As we were waiting for a cocktail The bartender poured a soda for somebody and didn't have the nozzle on it sprayed my girlfriend and I with water all over her dress and all over my shirt. owner offered us a table. Very very nice of him but then we waited another 45 minutes for a waiter or waitress to take our order. I did not know there was a Valentine's Day menu that we had to pick from. Finally they took our order and I told them can we get two more drinks, 30 minutes later nobody came so I went to the bar and beg them for two more drinks. After three hours and a half we're finally done and left. The experience was OK the price for the food was not worth it. Would I give it a try again during the day,,,, maybe. But I'll leave that up to you to decide

Soup of the day was lobster, heavy but good

Giorgio's is one of two restaurants located in the beautiful Hotel Granduca across from Uptown Park. This is a very nice and upscale property with both valet and self parking available. When I made the reservation I initially chose inside dining but after arriving we decided to take advantage of their offer to sit outside to take advantage of their lovely patio by the pool and the very pleasant outdoor temperature that evening after a nice rain. We were seated near the door where the pianist was playing nice music inside that allowed us to enjoy it. Giorgio's HRW 3 course dinner this year was $39 and I ordered the Burrata Panzanella Salad as my first course followed by Cavatelli Bolognese for the second finishing with the Flourless Chocolate Cake for the third. While waiting we were brought some bread along with trays of peanuts, potato chips and popcorn which was a little unusual but no one complained about free food. I must say that all of my 3 courses were excellent tasting. The Burrata salad had a large serving of the above named cheese with fresh tomatoes, olives and ciabatta bread that was cool in temperature and I could have eaten another serving because it was so good. The pasta bolognese was equally delicious except warm in temperature with the Akaushi beef making a delicious bolognese sauce over the cavatelli. Finally the cake was fresh and full of chocolate flavor with berries and Nutella alongside a scoop of rich vanilla ice cream. This was a perfect finish for what was a fine meal. The outdoor setting was also perfect and one that I wouldn't hesitate to repeat. So why do I only give 4 stars? For some reason not understood by anyone in our party was the fact that this entire experience took us 3 hours from being seated to paying the checks for our 3 course dinners. They didn't appear to be too busy that night so I'm not sure why it took so long. Our group did enjoy our time together and filled it with good conversation but still this dinner should have taken at least 1 hour less. Talking about a slow relaxed pace for dinner....this was a little too slow. I would still be happy to return.

Atmosphere is casual, service…read moreis friendly, the vibe is definitely Viking (and from what I have heard, it's really popping during brunch!). We came on. Friday after work during happy hour and the prices could not be beat, especially with their lobster bites (was sitting at about $30, and we got them half off!) Drinks were fantastic! I selected the "Golden Cadillac" that comes with a miniature bottle of Grand Marnier inside of it. Very good. My company decided on an array of appetizers for his "main course", while I went with their Fried Salmon (served with Mac and cheese, and collard greens). Omg! So tasty! The pepper was prevalent throughout, but it did not over power the flavor! I make collard greens at home (and learned from one of the best), and even I found theirs to be pretty good! My company selected fried ribs, along with the lobster bites, and crawfish queso dip, and their wings! I tasted what he got, and we both agreed that the wings were "off the chart" delicious with a beautiful straight off the grill smoky flavor! So good that he got another order to go! Lol. What made our experience there amazing was our server Ray (Rajean = think "the 90's TV Show "Living Single"..."smooches"!)...she was the best!! From her hello, to walking us through the menu (as first-timers), her recommendations, her energy, her smile, and her being very relatable. Loved her! My only gripe was the bathrooms, the ladies room needed attention (and could use a spruce all around). It doesn't help that it is a bit small, but yeah, they need to focus some efforts on ensuring it's upkeep. As for seating and parking, there is a bar area and limited seating toward the front of the restaurant, but it does extend to back of the house with additional seating. There is also patio seating as well. Because this place seems popular, it is best to reserve ahead to ensure your seating. Parking is very limited! They do however, offer valet (but at $20+). There is off-street parking, but be careful since this is a residential area and nothing is secure. All in all, I really had a great time and left with my belly full! Definitely worth checking out! What was lost is now found! Enjoy!
