I went to a studio in NYC and they told me that the jewelry they put in my ears had nickel in it which is why it wasn't healing properly. They asked for pictures of my scar and pictures of what I was thinking of putting over it. The reply I received was so utterly pretentious that I am astonished. Apparently, the "artist" will be selecting submissions "by lottery" and they MIGHT get back to me by August (It is currently mid-January)! I don't know if they just didn't like my ideas and couldn't come up with any original ideas, or if they are just soooo very busy that there are absolutely no openings for the next 8 months.... I am incredibly disappointed with their elitist attitudes and, honestly, my feelings are rather hurt.
