BOOK THIS NOW. My wife and I were lucky enough to book this for our honeymoon. Just reading the description of this and receiving the first email from Peter had me looking forward to this for months. I couldn't have had higher expectations going into the evening and it still exceeded every one of them. The food was spectacular, the wine was free-flowing and delightful (he hand picks one for every person in the class based on their favorite variety), the views were stunning, and Peter was by far the highlight of it all. We spent 2 weeks all over Italy and if I could relive just one of the the things we did - it would be this evening. He keeps the groups to an intimate size so you actually get to know the people you are with and has gets involved as you need him to as you prepare the dishes. This is a 12/10. So many cooking classes in Italy are exactly what you would expect them to be - standard pizza and pasta making. If you want to to really learn about the region and the beauty of using local ingredients from someone who is very passionate about sharing his experience and time with you. Please go no further. This to me is an absolute must for anyone staying near Positano

My second time here and it might have been even better than the first. (That's saying a lot since I loved it so much and came back!) Peter truly makes you feel at home. While it's a cooking class and you get to get your hands dirty a bit - they handle cooking a lot of the bigger items but tell you exactly how they're going to do it. For the price I think it's an incredible deal based on the high quality ingredients and insane amount of wine you get. His menu is completely composed of ingredients he grows himself - even down to the truffle oil. Truly once in a life time experience. Must go if in the amalfi coast area!

Where do I start! Best thing we did during our 7 night stay in Positano. It was so special, from start to finish. We had some of the best food we've had the entire trip and we made it together in Peter's house. Beautiful wines, great stories and gorgeous views. It feels like an interactive dinner party with your closest friends! We were a group of 4 and then it was Peter and his assistant. We did the lunch and if it had not been at the end of our trip, we would have done a dinner as well! We bought some of the wines, balsamic and olive oil all at what we considered to be fair prices. His home is beautiful and his wine cellar is super impressive. Something tells us this won't be our last time seeing Peter! Thank you for a beautiful day! Go do this cooking class, you won't be sorry.

This was hands down our favorite experience in Italy and a must in Positano! The class is not a traditional cooking class, but more of an informative and intimate dining experience. Peter shares information about the incredible ingredients he sources and you will help prep the food and drink a ton of amazing wine to pair with it!

Sorrento Cooking School - Homemade Neapolitan pizzette and some prosecco

I had almost given up until I stumbled onto the Sorrento Cooking School at Esperidi resort. For €60/person (cash only) my husband and I were able to enjoy a four hour cooking class in a beautiful and clean setting. The class was taught by an Italian chef that spoke only a few words of English so she had a British woman (who had been living for years in Italy) to translate for her. Very little was lost in translation. First we made pizza fritti (individually sized fried pizza dough topped with homemade marinara sauce, parmesan cheese, and basil). Afterwards we were treated to a glass of Prosecco and invited to enjoy our pizza outdoors on their beautiful patio complete with tall lemon trees. We also made cheese filled ravioli, white fish and potatoes, and tiramisu. At the end of the class we all sat at a communal table to enjoy the fruits of our labor with as much water and wine as our hearts desired! We were sent home with an apron and a copy of all the recipes we had just prepared. I highly recommend this class for anyone who would like to bring a taste of Italy back home.

Our teacher was a woman that reminded me of an Italian mother that always wants to feed you! She really knew her way around the kitchen and was a great teacher. So rewarding to eat something you made. The food was excellent, the experience even better, we made memories and left so full! Now we will get to go home and try out our new recipes for our family. They even give you an apron, shopping bag and recipe card to take home to remember you day at sorrento cooking school! I would recommend to anyone in the area!!!

That's because words alone are truly not sufficient to explain the entire experience from start to finish. First of all, the class takes place at Mamma Agata's home in Ravello and it is situated in the high elevation of the mountains overlooking the water. The views are priceless and will take your breath away. You may see donkeys that are used to help farmers gather and move the incredible lemon crops. Chiara, Mammas daughter, now conducts the classes and is wonderful and so knowledgeable and welcoming. You will spend the day cooking with Chiara and her sous chef and learning about the proper rules and techniques required to create Italian cuisine. You will also drink excellent wine while cooking and eating! Time is given to relax and walk around the terraced vegetable and flower gardens before returning to the kitchen. All the while you will get to know the other guests which is a lot of fun. We did not want the class to end but we walked away with a once in a lifetime experience and memory that exceeded all expectations! We strongly recommend that you hire a driver to get you back and forth from Mamma Agata's home & to start the process of getting a reservation early. We also suggest not eating much before you go.. you'll be eating plenty of great food all day. Don't forget your camera! Also, you will have time to order her products before you go if you wish. There is no pressure to do so. Don't miss this experience!!

When I think back to all my trips to Europe, all the sites and restaurants, this is absolutely at the top of my list for most memorable experiences. Let me paint the picture for you. It's an all day cooking class at Mamma's home in Ravello. We hired a driver who picked us up and dropped us off in Positano - I recommend you do the same and hire a driver. Upon arrival you're greeted with a warm smile, hug, and hello from Chiara, Mamma's daughter, who ultimately runs the show. You're then greeted with the best lemon cake you'll ever have in your life. Once the whole group arrives, Chiara sets the stage for the day and everyone heads to the kitchen and the cooking begins. Chiara, her husband Gennaro, and of course, Mamma, do all the cooking as they share tips and tricks. The wine starts flowing, the sampling begins and the day just progresses from there. Their home is stunning - it's located on a cliff and the views are special. Our group was great - about 12 people or so (mainly married couples). The food was incredible - such good quality and taste. Those fritters...are you kidding me?!? This is not a cheap experience, but it's one you will never forget.

We started in Bomerano and hiked to Nocelle, then from Nocelle, walked back to Positano where we're staying. To get from Positano to Bomerano, we took a 30 min ferry to Amalfi, and then a 45 min bus up to Bomerano. Walked about 10-15 minutes to the start of the trail. Hike is about 3.5 miles. Because Bomerano is already at pretty high elevation, the hike is mostly downhill and really not too strenuous. There is a point where you reach a sign and the trail splits right/left. When you reach this point, the left side follows the designated Path of the Gods while the right side is the "alternate" Path of Gods - at a higher elevation. We took the right path and it was really beautiful. The paths eventually meet about 1-1.5 miles later, but honestly either direction you take, I don't think you can go wrong. There are like 1700 stairs down from Nocelle to Positano (which was kind of tough after hiking 3.5 miles), but we made it back safely and loved the whole journey! Highly highly recommend!

The organizers were prompt with their communication and kept us to date via WhatsApp. We were staying in Sorrento and were picked up at the Piazza Tasso, near to where we were staying. There were multiple groups meeting at the location, but the organizers quickly called everyone together, separated, then Shepard'd us onto the correct bus. The trip to the town next to the Path of the Goods trail took us about 90mins, at which point we were given 20mins to stretch our feet, grab coffee before the start of the trek. We were split into groups, with my lot falling under the instructor, Johnny (Giovanni Gargiulo) who was amazing throughout our hike. Their version of the hike formed a loop which took trekkers through all the major points, while letting them experience the full hike if you wanted to go the extra lengths (down the final 1000 or so stairs to Positano). We were given hiking poles to help with general stability, at which point we briefly met the Shepard who we'd eat with later. We saw his goats get released and met a few of them along the trail. There are amazing views throughout the walk, from old abandoned houses and farming landscapes to the stunning Amalfi coastlines below. On our way back to the town, we stopped by the Shepards hut and ate lunch with him and his dogs. The food was all freshly prepared and locally sourced, including the great goat's cheese! He performed a song for us, we drank, saluted each other and continued the hike back to the town. The final steps and slopes to return to the town were the hardest. On return to the town, we were all given 20-30mins to relax, regenerate and ready up for our trip back to Sorrento. All in all, it was well worth the money and was a great chance to look back into the lives of the farmers of these coastlines. Highly recommended.
