BLESS the ladies that work here. My 15 lbs chicken-butt terrier is a pain-in-the-butt to do any time of grooming on, and they always are able to trim his nails despite his crying and trying to escape. They're gentle, efficient, and caring. Definitely a great place to take your pets! read more

I absolutely love taking my pups to Posh Puppies. I have a 3 year old Australian Shepherd & an 8 year old Maltese/Yorkie. My Morkie visits pretty regularly, and Im always so happy when I pick him up. He's super anxious, but he is always spunky & playful when I pick him up. Today I took the Aussie for a clean up, and when I got there to pick her up she was SO HAPPY. Anytime I've taken her to other groomers, I've never been greeted by her like this. She was so happy and just seemed to be at home and comfortable. She's so soft, smells incredible, her haircut is perfect. She's beautiful It makes me feel so good knowing how well everyone at Posh takes care of my babies. read more

I've taken my husky here probably 5+ times now and he always comes home looking better than I do when I leave a salon! He's been to several different groomers that work here and they all do an AMAZING job! Appointments usually take 2-3 hours which is the perfect amount of time to either run errands, come back home and rid the house of fur before he comes back, or grab coffee and get a mani/pedi! (How convenient, right?) I definitely suggest making an appointment ahead of time as they are usually pretty booked up. All pricing is available through their reservation system as well! read more

I have a sweet senior 13 year old long hair collie/chow/rotweiler named Puff. She's partly deaf and going blind so I'm pretty protective of her. I'm new to oak harbor and I've taken her other places around town but was less than happy with both the handling and grooming so I was leary of another new unfamiliar place. That was all put to ease immediately when I walked through the doors of Posh puppy!! It's very clean they are very organized. The dogs weren't just immediately taken to a back room and thrown in a cage. My groomer( I forgot to ask his name!) was very gentle and slow with her. He let her sniff and get used to the place. He took the time to ask me about my girl and see if there might be any issues he needed to address as well as how I would like her styled. After a few hours- they called to tell me she was ready and she looked and smelled fabulous!! I know she was very dirty and a ton of work- (nail trim- bath-conditioner-ears-teeth plus I had let her go because I wasn't finding a groomer I could trust!) They even put a little bandana on her. Everything was out in the open and he was very gentle putting the harness back on. They are a bit pricier than the other groomers around oak harbor(not really by much at all)- but thats because they are the best! You get what you pay for and they did a fantastic job! I could not have asked for a better experience for my old girl! Thank you so so so much for such a great groom! I'm so happy to have finally found our new place! read more

Posh Puppies - 13 yr old Puff before and after! Collie/Rott/Chow mix! - Pet Groomers Near Me - Oak Harbor, Washington

My yellow lab is afraid of his own shadow and after being rejected by a pet store in town because he was freaking out on the table and trying to leap off to avoid his nail trim, they suggested we try Posh Puppies who could trim nails on the floor if needed. What a blessing! The staff here were great and had all his nails trimmed within minutes...without the "scary table" my dog feared. No appointment is necessary which is amazing and you won't find a better price. Can't recommend this business enough! we found our permanent nail trim spot! read more

They do cat grooming only at their Oak Harbor place, it was a little bit of dive. The groomer( unfortunately I forgot her name) was very nice and courteous. I was happy with the service I received for my Ragdoll. read more

I went here the first time- totally great and deshed was worth the extra money. However the second time I went in for the walk in nail trims. My dog got her nails trimmed (she's a little hyper with black nails so I understand it not being completely even). But two nails were so long that it ripped off at the park (2 weeks later!!) and I had to take her to the emergency room. Long story short, the vet on call was great, explained to me that I should cut her nails instead because they were so long she lost an entire toenail. I get being in a rush but leaving it long enough for it to rip? That's a bit much. I've never had this issue at any other groomer. Staff were nice, but the 5 hours I spent at the vet and the amount of blood in my carpet was not worth the 20 dollars I wasted at posh puppies. It's back to cutting her nails myself! read more

We have been getting our doggies groomed with Melissa (now at Posh Puppies) since 2015. Samson (our Bichon Frise) became difficult to groom as he aged and Melissa showed great patience and kindness in handling him. She was the only groomer who gained his trust (he loved her). We now take Merlin, our Shih Tzu, to Melissa and his tail starts wagging as soon as he sees her. Merlin's hair always looks fabulous after Melissa grooms him. Kennedy does a great job as well! It is evident that the Posh Puppies staff genuinely cares about their furry clients. read more

Posh puppies is simply amazing! Melissa and Katie have groomed all three of my dogs. And they both do a spectacular job. Melissa treats your dogs as if they were her own: ***she truly cares for each animal and she treats them very tenderly***. She's very patient, and you know that you dogs are in good hands with her. She loves her job and it shows. Melissa can groom any type of dog: long haired, short haired, small or large. Everyone at Posh Puppies is great: they love dogs and they care very much about making both the animal, and their owners happy. Katie once told me she looks forward to grooming my dogs...and my dogs have long, and matted hair! It was so sweet of her to say. Please visit Posh Puppies - you'll love them. I wouldn't trust my three dogs to any other groomers. They're fantastic, and we're lucky to have them for our dogs. read more

I'm not one to do reviews as I believe the are subjective to the persons mood of the day, but I'm making an exception today. I just moved to the area from SoCal, did a quick search and found Posh Puppies. It deserves the 5 star reviews! This was my MaltiPoo's (Leia) first full on grooming session and they did a great job and handled her with such care and consideration. She actually enjoyed herself, which is wonderful. Also found out that they do a doggy day care so I can drop her off a couple times a week to make sure she stays socialized. Thank you Shelby for taking such good care of Leia. read more

I took my 10 month old Bernedoodle in for her first grooming and it was and still is traumatizing, after 5 days. It may be a great place for a seasoned dog who is used to being groomed, but the wide open space with noise of clippers, barking, and echoing voices wasn't calming AT ALL for my pup. She freaked and apparently was crying most of the two hours, and when I got the call to come get her, I was told that she wasn't finished, but I needed to pick her up. She was very unhappy and I didn't really get it until I got home and saw the nicks she suffered while being shaved. She has not being her usual puppy self since then. When I picked her up I was also told that she needed a doggie psychiatrist/behaviorist and she gave me someone's card. She has been socialized from the minute I got her, so that is not the issue. The issue is that she was hurt and scared. I wish I could undo that experience. Time will tell. read more

We had to find a new groomer after our long time groomer had us drop our 15 year old dog off at 0800 and did not finish him until 1700. All other times he was always ready for pick up within a few hours. Nine hours is entirely too long for a dog to be caged for a bath and haircut, especially a senior dog. I called Posh Puppies to see how they worked their appointments. I was glad to hear that they made appointments and would be done and ready for pick up within a couple hours. Our groomer was Brian and did an excellent job with our little guy. Highly recommended read more

We are new to the area so it's always hard finding a new groomer when we move. I took my Schnoodle here today for grooming for the first time. My Schnoodle has anxiety from being hurt in the past at Petco. They were patient with Myli and said she did really well. That makes me happy knowing they care about the animals they groom there. Recently moved to Oak Harbor and like many others, were nervous Nellie's over taking our Silky terrier to a new place for grooming in December and was very pleased with the experience.
