The process would take 3 hours and I'd split it into multiple days because neither him nor I could do a full 3 hour session at once. I said all that to say that I wish I would've gone to Betty sooner! I got my dog Beast in 2022 and for some reason it was really hard to find a groomer--no one was taking on new clients. I scheduled my appointment online with Wholesome Doodle, answered a few questions and uploaded a few pics of what I wanted Beast's cut to look like. I was able to get aN appointment fairly quickly. Upon meeting Betty, she felt around for mats and helped me come up with a mat that would be best for Beast. Unfortunately, we had to shave him down pretty low during his first grooming appointment, but that was no one's fault but my own. Things got In the way and I didn't brush him as regularly as I should've and many mats formed. Following the appointment she provided us with a folder with care and maintenance tips for his coat. Betty is highly experienced and will explain everything going into the appointment. She does great with Beast and I recommend her to everyone!

This shop is in a building that has seen better days -- I think it's been here at least as long as I've lived in Austin (40 years) -- and the whole shopping center could use a face lift. One of my first thoughts, and I realize this is just ridiculous on my part, was to avoid the oil spots on the asphalt after her bath. But then I reminded myself, the building and the parking lot have little bearing on what goes on inside. It's a no frills front desk operation, to be sure, but I peeked around back and it's super cute back there. There was a joyous reunion when April saw Jessica again, and as always, Jessica did an amazing job. I loved what another reviewer said: "Jessica is literally the doodle whisperer"! That is the doggone truth. And about the building, as the saying goes, you can't always judge a book by its cover.

Our old groomers no longer seem to work here, but we still rave about the kindness and care the team showed our pups back in 2021. 2026: Our new pup arrived to us covered in mats so severe I had to trim some myself, leaving him a bit uneven. We scheduled a grooming session but didn't realize he would be receiving a "first-time puppy cut," which is different from a full grooming appointment. I completely understand the difference, but I wish I had been informed upfront, as I was expecting a full-body cut--especially at the price we paid. A month later, we tried a different groomer, Ivy, after seeing a Goldendoodle cut on their Instagram that we loved. She did an amazing job! As a reminder, per most pet grooming policies, all dogs must have up-to-date vaccines before their appointment. Additionally, there is now a late pickup fee if you arrive more than 30 minutes after your pet's session is completed.

I have an elderly dog who has opinions about *everything*, and he's a rescue with a traumatic past so he can also be anxious and skittish, but he absolutely loves Park and Bark. They are always so sweet and gentle with him! That's just who they are. Park and Bark Mobile Grooming have groomed my dog's fur for over 4 years now and the quality of their work has never once declined. My dog always looks like he's ready to win Best in Show at the fanciest dog show after Park and Bark groom him. I had given them a 5 star review before and am coming back to update my review because I can't stop singing their praises; I would give Park and Bark 10 stars if I could. Sel has groomed both of my dogs with such patience, kindness, and care, and even during the final days of my late dog's life, she remained so gentle and compassionate. That meant the world to me. Having a mobile groomer come to the house is a game-changer. It's so much less stressful for the dogs (and me!), and you can tell Park and Bark genuinely love what they do. They even send them off with the cutest bandannas and accessories after a groom -- it's such a sweet touch that shows how much they care.
