*CELIAC / GLUTEN FREE REVIEW I recently got a birthday cake from here and had a no-issue experience! When I called to place my order, they warned me about it being a shared kitchen, but that they do what they can to avoid cross-contamination risk. Normally I would not risk it, but this place was very highly spoken of in the "Denver GF" Facebook group - so I gave it a try! I ordered a GF small white rosette designed cake in the GF better than sex flavor. Everyone at my party loved it (both GF and non-GF folks) and nobody got sick. upon picking up the cake I also had a GF maple glazed donut and GF chocolate chip scone - the GF donuts are held on the top two racks of donuts, and the scones have their own jar. The cupcakes are with the other cupcakes in a display case, but are in front so likelihood of crumbs dropping it lower - they have their own tower / stand within the display. I asked the woman to wash her hands before grabbing my items and she happily did! I did not get sick from any of the three items I tried! The cake is nice and moist, donut was a little dense but good flavor, and the scone was superrrr dry and dense but that's pretty common of GF scones. read more

This place is my new love. I was looking for a cake for my mom's birthday and was tired of my usual joints. Checked out Posh Cakes and was so happy I did! Usually they need 48 hrs for a cake order but they do have some day of cakes available in different sizes. I selected a 6 inch cake in cookies and cream. If you are willing to wait 15 min they will add a saying of your choosing to the cake. I wasn't expecting much but OH MY GAWWWWD was this cake amazing. It had chocolate cake, vanilla cake, Oreo cream frosting, and chocolate ganache. There was also some gold dusting and chocolate bars on top. There are truly no words to describe how delicious it was. Just the right amount of sweetness, ganache was perfect, and the Oreo cream filling was so good! The 6 in cake serves 4-6 but you could definitely serve a few more than that. The bakery front is really cute inside. The young lady working today was nice - a bit shy as not too talkative. The cupcakes were in the case - GF on pedestal - total of probably 15-20 would fit so if you want more Id pre-order. Regular cupcakes were full - or at least more...and additional flavors. My team enjoyed them - and agreed with "Better then sex cupcake" as an appropriate name. As far as the GF ones - so far so good. The frosting is fresh and light ... Not to sugary which is nice and the cake was moist whigood for the GF regular white cupcake. Update on visit 4/2020 during Quarantine I stopped their on Saturday as I needed a sweet fix! Well, they had GF cupcakes and 1 GF Beef pot pie left as I went late. Well... the pot pie and cup cakes were so fresh and tasty my husband questioned if they were GF! UPDATE: The nerve of the owner of this business is unreal. Instead of responding to either my mother or my review in a public forum, she sent my mother a private email basically explaining that she put very little effort into the cake on purpose because she knew my mom was upset. Her exact words were "its really hard to want to go above and beyond for a customer when you get off phone and said 'you are disappointed and will never use us again' before we can even attempt to make it better." -- This is her grammar, not mine -- It has completely gone over her head that we were upset about the way that SHE handled the situation from the beginning. Her "apology" meant nothing because she took absolutely ZERO responsibility for them losing our order, and instead again insinuated that my mother was lying, even though we literally sat down with them and ordered the cake in the store. Had she made a good looking cake, we still would never have used her again, but probably wouldn't have bothered leaving a review. Her response was immature and disappointing. This business is incredibly unprofessional and a total scam. We came here to order a cake for my sister's baby shower. It's her first baby and my parents' first grand baby, so we really wanted to make her shower special. We ordered a cake and cupcakes over 3 weeks in advance. The day before the shower, my mom called the store to confirm the pick-up time and was told they did not have our order. They lost our order, and when my mom tried to explain the situation, they insinuated that she was lying about placing the order in the first place. Instead of making the situation right and rushing our original order, they offered us a pre-made cake, which they said could decorate to our liking. We were disappointed at being offered a cake that wasn't fresh, but didn't have any other choice, as the shower was the next day. They didn't even offer to give us a discount for their mistake that would have ended in disaster if my mom hadn't called to confirm our order. My mom asked if there was anything they could do, and they only offered to take $10 off an almost $200 order. As if it couldn't get any worse, the cake we picked up the next day was sloppy and hideous. It looked like they threw it together in 10 minutes before we picked it up. The cake was supposed to be a red flannel pattern, but instead they painted some messy black stripes down the side of the cake. On the cake toppers, you could see the white pencil they used to draw the design. The whole thing was so bad that it was almost comical. We could have made something better ourselves. Looking at the other 1 star reviews, it would appear that the owner couldn't care less about their shoddy work or customer satisfaction. read more
