Lorene is incredibly knowledgeable in both Lagree and Pilates, and her focus on longevity really stands out. She meets you exactly where you are, creating a supportive, welcoming environment that keeps you coming back. And the community she's built? The best. Down-to-earth, friendly, and encouraging. I can't wait to spend more time in her studio.

Barry's Burlingame was one of the worst first-time gym experiences I've had. (And that's saying…read moresomething since I recently tried 7 gyms in the Burlingame/ San Mateo / Millbrea areas). I showed up 5 minutes early and instead of focusing on onboarding or safety, the staff prioritized forcing me to create a marketing account and hand over my email before class. Nobody asked about **my knee pain** or offered workout modifications like Basecamp or Burlingame Fitness did. I was thrown into a dark room mid-class with no idea where my station was, what weights to use, or even how to start(!) the treadmill, while the oversized class made it impossible for the instructor to notice I was struggling. I had to stop multiple times just to change weights and restart. Change and restart. In the end, I lost the class credit and time. The whole experience felt like corporate lead-generation and profit mattered far more at Barry's than the safety and success of new members.

I was really impressed with the level of care and attention she gave my friend and I during our first session--I could tell she genuinely cared about meeting our personal health and fitness goals. Beyond that, she successfully demonstrated her expertise in her field...she had asked us to simply walk, carefully watched how our bodies moved, and pointed out the areas where we were imbalanced. After giving us a few mobility exercises, that imbalance was pretty much gone! She definitely knows what she's doing. After months of training with Adriana, I can say that there's definitely been huge improvements not only in my body but in my health. (A note to prospective clients with recent injuries: Adriana not only modified my exercises to avoid re-injury but she gave me exercises to help build the strength it needed). She's changed the way I think about food, and I definitely have her to thank for it. I also never got bored with her! She was certainly challenging and knew when to push us a little harder, but she's so positive and encouraging that working out with her was always more fun than going to the gym. I recommend Adriana 100%!

I started training with her a few months ago, specifically looking for someone who was nervous-system informed. I have a movement background, along with chronic pain and past injuries, and have worked with trainers who pushed past my limits without listening. Adriana is the complete opposite. She's incredibly knowledgeable, thoughtful, and continuously refining her craft. Her approach is grounded in neuroscience and nervous system awareness, which makes a huge difference in how my body responds and progresses. The first few sessions were about truly understanding where I was at, and since then, we've been building in a way that feels both safe and empowering. Each session is tailored and unique. Her studio feels like an adult playground in the best way. I genuinely look forward to working with her and know I'm in excellent hands. I highly recommend Adriana.

This studio looked great and was well-reviewed, so I became a longtime client and even prepaid for a package of classes. One day the studio was very cold -- Parkinson's makes it hard for me to regulate my body temperature -- so I closed the door. I was the only client working out at the time. Moments later, a man violently slammed the door back open in my face. No explanation, no apology. I later learned he was the owner. We adore our trainer, who went above and beyond to help, even arranging a meeting with the owner to address what happened. Instead of apologizing, the owner insisted I had violated the rules. All it would have taken was, "We keep the door open here -- please leave it, and let us know if you're cold." Instead, he doubled down. I trusted this studio with my health and my money. Take yours elsewhere.

I've been trying to cancel my membership since Thursday, Sept 19th, well before the October payment. I've reached out to the owner through EVERY possible channel--her personal Instagram, the gym's Instagram, and email. I even followed up again on Wednesday, Sept 25th. STILL no response. I've asked her multiple times to just confirm that my membership has been canceled, but she's completely ignored me. Meanwhile, she's active on Instagram promoting the gym but can't take two minutes to respond to a paying member trying to cancel? Just a simple "Your cancellation has been confirmed" It's beyond unprofessional. As a gym owner, communication and customer service should be a priority, yet she's clearly avoiding handling this. What makes it even worse is that the sign-up link says you can cancel, but apparently that's not the case when the owner refuses to acknowledge or confirm anything. I've never dealt with such terrible service. If you're considering joining this gym, I'd highly advise looking elsewhere.

This session had a tighter timeline -- I was prepping for a very special family event -- so the approach was more of a sprint compared to the gradual builds we've done in past sessions. A former physical therapist, he blends corrective work with performance training. Wayne is tough but fair -- he corrects form until it's flawless and gives simple, actionable changes that become lasting habits. His nutrition guidance isn't a fad: it kept me full and energized, addressed chronic dehydration (I now drink at least half my body weight in ounces of water), and eliminated the need for sugary snacks. I increased my daily steps and added targeted supplements. In four months I've lost 10 lbs, dropped under 20% body fat, gained significant muscle, and am down a clothing size. Most importantly, my chronic back pain has resolved, my posture is much improved, and I feel the healthiest and happiest I've ever been.
