I purchased a phone on line unfortunately I had to cancel it I called within 48 hours to cancel. I was told it was cancelled. Not having a good feeling about it I called the next day to make sure it was cancelled.the yi7ng man I spoke to said it had not been canceled but that he would cancel it right then he asked me if I was going to be using my number and I said I had planned on using the number I had he said well it's a good thing you're canceling because we have a new configuration and your number isn't going to work so it would have been canceled anyway I said well good he said you should be receiving your refund in five to seven days I said will I get refunded for the $60 plan I bought also because it's not I wouldn't have worked he said yes you will and I said okay thank you goodbye 5 days went by 10 days went by 15 days went by and no refund I had a letter that stated that the money wasn't going to be taken out of my account until I received the phone but it was taken out of my account right away a letter later said that I was not entitled to refund something to do with having both of them phone during a time of in the middle of billing I didn't really understand what it meant but their policy is you have I believe 14 days to cancel a purchase like that and they were not going to stand by it they refuse to refund me my bank even tried to file for them to refund me and they still refused. I put in a informal complaint with the FCC the FCC contacted them and I received a phone call from The Office of the President of cricket the man asked me to tell him my story so I did he said he would investigate it took approximately 2 weeks for them to decide that I was entitled to a refund for the phone and my plan I told him I no longer had the phone I was very frustrated because when I decided finally I needed to have a phone because I hadn't had a phone I tried to have it service turned on only to find out that the phone had issues and they couldn't give me service on that phone that I would have to turn the phone in I said I'm really resistant to turning in the phone because I will get back a used phone that's refurbished that I paid for a brand new one the gentleman said well you'll have to talk about that with them at this point I had already just paid him another $40 to try to get service on the phone because the 60 I had paid wasn't going to work for that I said if I turn in the phone it'll be another month before I get it back so I'll have paid another $40 for another month of service I'm not going to be able to use he said I'm really sorry. After that's when I call the FCC so on November 19th of 2024 I am told I'm going to be mail to check for the $60 plan I said thank you very very much said I should be receiving it anywhere from 7:00 to 10:00 maybe 15 days I said okay I will look for it in December around right before Christmas I called I have not received the check they told me to wait longer finally in January of 2025 I received the $60 check I said okay finally it's over I took the check down to my local Merchant to be cashed low and behold two days later I find out that the check was bad now I have a $25 bad check fee to pay to this Merchant plus my reputation is no longer as good as it was before this check I was really upset I called cricket and I said this was completely and totally unacceptable and that on top of the $60 they owe me $25 because had that check been good I would not be having another debt they said they had to investigate I said well that's on your end because I did nothing wrong and I said I didn't want another check I wanted them to direct deposit because I don't know where to cash this check mail and I don't trust their checks they sent me a check anyway and they refuse to acknowledge any wrongdoing on the $25 bad check fee that I got because of them so beware if you have Cricket or you any money make sure you check with their bank make sure the funds are in it and that they have the right account number in the right routing number on the check otherwise you could be stuck with the bad chick feels so so all I know all I got back was really $35 after the 60 and the and the $220 I spent on the phone that's all I got back there's no Integrity of that company to not acknowledge that they are responsible for me having to pay a fee on their bad check is just. I wish I could give mine a Stars but then there's not enough stores cuz it definitely more than five.
