It was my first day in France and after a few hours of roaming around the city I realized that I hadn't eaten anything. I had passed this place once because it was next door to my Airbnb, and it seemed to have a fairly nice crowd, so I decided that I would go back to check it out! Having gone to Brazil earlier this year, I was excited to be able to eat more Brazilian food and maybe even practice Portuguese ( I know I know..speak French in France lol)
So I walk in and without hesitation I say "Boa Tarde" (Good afternoon in Portuguese). The woman that greeted me was very friendly and even asked why I was eating by myself haha. So I sit down and she bring me a menu. She immediately tells me that there is a buffet going on, or if I would like that I could choose any items from the appetizer portion of the menu! That was a QUICK no brainer! Unlimited Brazilian foods and dessert!? Are you kidding me? So I walk over to the buffet table where I see a variety of Brazilian favorites (Feijoada, Tapioca, Black Beans, Rice, etc). I pile everything on my plate and prepare to dig in! Sometimes I can be q little hesitant with buffets because the quality of food tends to go down, but this did not disappoint. The food was still hot, and seemingly freshly cooked. The flavors reminded me of Brazil, and the samba in the background made me feel as if I were back in Rio! As people walked by and saw me enjoying my food (probably a little too much) their curiosity got the best of them and they came in to join the feast! From what I saw, everyone seemed to be very pleased with their meals!
The buffet turned out to be about 18€, and I would say that it was well worth it for the quality of food, and the friendly service of the staff in the restaurant. The rest of the menu items seemed to be fairly priced, and are served generally after 7pm. read more
