Stopped in here for a quick coffee. Was so pleasantly surprised by how kind and friendly the staff was. They also had great photo books. Great records. Great pastries. 10 out of 10!

Harvest loaf slice and cardamom latte

The barista was very friendly and chatted with me as they made my drink. They also were very patient with my several questions about the bakery. I got a harvest loaf slice (tasty and quite filling actually) and a cardamom latte. Both were quite good. There's only a few seats inside if you're planning to hang out and sip. More seating outside and appears to be dog friendly. I'd recommend it and it does have a cool little record section at the back too.

A cozy little comfy shop with friendly service. The coffee was top notch and they had good merch!

Latte & delicious blueberry cranberry vegan scone

Latte and vegan scone was delicious. Really liked the browsing selection and purchased a sweater that said "coffee & records" . Cozy and would come again!

Such a cute shop - only a few outdoor seats but inside is such a nice vibe. Got a cortado that was quite good. Neighborhood feels.

Porchlight coffee is one our neighborhood coffee shops here in Capitol Hill. They offer a small selection of coffee, tea, beer, and pastries. They have a very relaxed vibe and only seats like 20 people (including outdoor seating) so it doesn't get packed. It's a little too relaxed for me though as I prefer coffee shops that have a more exciting and lively vibe. Porchlight is my go-to if I want something more than just black coffee because it's right next to my office. Their new item is the turmeric latte (shown in photo) which consists of milk, turmeric, ginger, lemongrass, and a tiny bit of sugar. I'm trying to consume more turmeric for its known health benefits and I love that Porchlight offers this latte.

Walked over to Porchlight with friends while visiting Seattle. The service, atmosphere and latte was amazing.

Struck out at Regent, ended up having brunch instead at Nue, and noticed Porchlight Coffee and Records next door. Even spotted a nearby neighborhood resident in pjs bringing back coffee to their building...must be tasty to compel someone to get out of bed! Nice vibe, pleasant barista, loved the vinyl in the back, and lots of natural light. Also seems to be a decent spot for the laptop/WiFi crowd. I sat at the table by the door to absorb some of the cafe's chill atmosphere. Mocha was enjoyable, and Herkimer beans as an fyi. The music was soothing, a little too soothing and counterintuitive drinking caffeine. I was being like a cat...catch a sun beam perch and feeling sleepy. Took the rest of my mocha to go and off to the Frye Art Museum as my next stop.

Coffee and Records, basically sums up the beauty of Porchlight Coffee in Seattle! And I will have to say that is also sums up a lot of my favorite Seattlelites! It's like the black vinyl and hot caffeine run through their veins in these parts. My brother doesn't work far from here so it was a must on the recent Seattle visit! I am also a gigantic Kyler Martz fan, all his art and in the recent years, tattoo work! Lucky for me there was cool Martz art for purchase. I felt it was most appropriate to snag a record player slipmat with a classic nautical look. The girl working here was an absolute sweetheart and I wish I would have caught her name for a proper shout out. There is also a nice selection of records and I adore when they are spinning something that catches my ear and I have to own! My niece and nephew fully enjoyed the array of treats and decided on donuts and hot chocolates. What can I say, we are a family of sweet tooths!

Cute little place and a nice location. They have a few seating outside to enjoy you coffee and a couch include while you wait. They also sell some random merchandise like shirts and other stuff! Yummy coffee that was ready in a minute!

Cute place to grab coffee and a snack quickly! I stopped in a few weeks ago and picked up a great latte and almond wheel. Super fast service and great quality. Drinks are a little expensive but that's normal for Seattle. The positive side is they have a punch card. Would come back again!

I used to be a frequent customer but will not be returning. I came in after finding myself in a bind to get a bit of a charge on my phone. Some guy who I'm assuming is the owner came up to me and asked me to leave because I had not yet purchased a coffee. I had been sitting down for about 5 minutes before I was told that I could not be there. I looked around and noticed that I was the only person of color there. I was targeted because I didn't fit in. After politely letting this guy know that I could not believe he was treating me this way I walked up and left. Never again. Update: the response by business owner is in accurate and completely inappropriate. Here are screenshot of what he sent me in response to a Facebook review. I really hope your business doesn't last, you do not deserve to be in seattle doing business.

Been coming back several times now, best vanilla latte I've had in the city! Brought some friends from out of town who concurred!

The cardamom latte is BOMB. Has just the right amount of flavor without being overpowering. And the barista is so friendly!

Sup Pop started it all in Seattle!…read more Thank god a SUP POP store is now located in downtown Seattle, I need a place to actually view, smell, taste & purchase vinyl. Now before I rant and rave anymore it must be said without certain bands in Seattle before Sup Pop started, there would be no Sup Pop, so it's time these bands get a shout out for being the original Seattle scene: TKO CULPRIT OVERLORD  ( Grunge before Grunge ) The Heats The Cowboys Shadow The Wild Dogs (Portland Band) I'm sure I left out a few but without these bands you would have Pearl Jam, Mother Love Bone or Alice N Chains. What a great store catering to the Seattle Sound " GRUNGE " music. I purchased countless SWAG items and several lp's for the collection on my shopping spree. Hell I even bought a cd special addition from ALICE in CHAINS. No downloads at this store it's real organic old school music purchasing. For you millennial children you actually have to pay for your music like we all did a long time ago. So get with the program and keep music alive by buying at Sup Pop. So now that I've said that FRANK gives a double thumbs up for turning Seattle into music history. I may not like all the artists from Sup Pop however I'm glad there here.

As a music guy, it seemed important to check out one of the Sub Pop stores while I was in Seattle…read more I actually stopped by 2 of therm, there is one in the SEA Airport (which arguably has more merchandise - at least when I went there) and this one downtown. This one has the better environment if I am being honest, its a corner side of a building store and has cool T-Shirts, books, mugs, turntable mats, etc .....all kind of SubPop merchandise. Its just a retail store to be fair - but worthy of the stop if you are into SubPop records. There is not a huge selection here, but enough to find something cool to take home. I ended up picking up a few souvenirs and chatted with the guy in the shop (super-friendly) Worth a visit!
