Love these bagels. On special occasions we will drive from suffolk county to nassau county to get them. They come out piping hot in the bag, soft on the inside and crispy chewy on the outside. The special butter and cream cheese flavors of the week are great, delicious and unique. Not all of the bagels make it all the way back home as we usually have eaten several in the car. They're great to freeze so we order extras to use up any leftover schmears.

THEY ONLY SELL 3 OR MORE BAGELS AT A TIME! THEY DON'T CUT THE BAGELS! THEY ONLY SELL 6 OZ SCHMEARS ON THE SIDE. No bagel sandwiches, Black and White cookies or even tables to sit. I ordered 3 bagels (plain, everything & sesame) with plain schmear. They packed it up, I paid and 30 minutes later I got to my homebase. I cut the everything bagel in half and applied the cream cheese. The bagel was really good and still tasted fresh out of the oven. A local friend told me I'd stumbled on a viral bagel spot with the tagline: grip, rip and dip. So I had a second bagel (sesame), but instead of cutting it, I grabbed my bagel, tore off pieces and dipped into the schmear. Enjoyed the sesame/plain cream cheese combo, but this time the eating process was more fun. Next time I'll try one or two of their flavored schmears. For what it was, it gets high marks. Pretty simple concept.

BEST. BAGELS. EVER. My family loves these bagels. We have had our fair share of bagels and these bagels are some of the best bagels I have ever had. All of my out of state friends are obsessed with these bagels. If you haven't tried them yet, you're missing out.

    Shmear

Tf is shmear!? After eating the shmear I done dedficated all in my garments. It was a good bagel though

I'm SO happy a pop up bagel opened up on LI. I've came here a few times and service was super smooth. You can only buy the bagels in bulk so just be aware when you come! I ordered the classic Scallion Creak Cheese with everything bagels and it was delicious! Love the rip and dip aspect of how you eat them. I started following them on Instagram to track the new special flavors that refresh weekly. The Oishii Berry Strawberry cream cheese collab was A BLESSING ON EARTH. Will be back!

After having this place on my list for a very long time, we ended up going for a drive on Saturday morning to come out here. I ended up getting a 6 pack of plain bagels (I had wanted everything, but they were out), and the rosemary garlic butter. I do not give my kids food in the car, but I decided to make an exception for a warm bagel. I took one and immediately split it in quarters. My boys enjoyed it, but my husband and I both immediately thought that more salt was needed. It was a bit better when we dipped it in the butter and had it. I do think it would have gone better with the seasonal schmear (the big apple - a caramel apple schmear), but the savory butter was more our jam. The butter I loved, and will be having it on everything. The store is small and it does get a bit crowded. That being said, I'll probably be back because I want to get my hands on an everything!

Bag of 6 bagels for $18!!!

Overhyped. $3 for a bagel that is smaller than normal regular sized bagels! They are perfectly round and cute but nothing extraordinary in taste that should justify the expense. And definitely not worth waiting on line for. Good bagels but not worth waiting for or the price. Service was fine, and it was actually empty at this location, so the experience was good. Minus 2 stars for the cost.

I got cream cheese that was expired...... very disappointed. Do they ever check the expiration date of their inventory?

We went there twice in a week so you know we enjoyed it! So why 4 and not 5 stars? So the bagels are very good. Even the plain, which is usually my least favorite had an interesting "skin" on them. It gives them a unique almost crispy texture that we only got with the plain, although they still had that nice chew with the soft interior that makes for a really good bagel. As you can see from photo, you don't get same skin on the other bagels, which are more conventional. They also do a good job of putting the sesame/everything all over the bagels. You don't get any real bare spots. My only gripe is that they are smaller than others that we get locally. So we wound up eating 2 or 1.5 bagels to get our usually fix. The schmears, which I think are the real draws, are really good!! The yam schmear had a nice sweet and salty flavor that was yummy, and scallion schmear was tasty as well. My only gripe is that, like the bagels, the containers are pretty small. We pre-ordered online and got the dozen bagels, which come with 2 schmears. When you go to other good LI bagel shops, you get a really generous amount of cream cheese. If you try to put that much of these schmears, maybe you have enough for 6 of these bagels (which are smaller than usual). One last tip, the schmears of the week change WEDNESDAYS not Sunday, which we only found up when we went back for a second visit on a Monday and found out that Yam was still the schmear of the week. Despite these issues, still gets 4 stars so worth a visit!

I've come here twice now on a Sunday morning and I'm absolutely obsessed! A few things: They currently have 5 bagel flavours: salt, plain, everything, poppy and sesame Schmears are 2 seasonal (one butter, one cream cheese, and the standard plain and scallion. They have other items like lox and tuna but I haven't tried those just yet. They are constantly making bagels and are a super efficiently run joint so even if the line is long, you don't need to worry - they move FAST! All bagels get to you hot too which is awesome! The place itself isn't conducive for sitting and eating, it's more of a grab and go joint. Highly recommend, super addicting - they change their flavours every Wednesday, I can't wait to go back next week!!

Grip, rip, and dip-- these small bagels were all over my social feeds all summer, so I was surprised to find that a location had opened in Roslyn. I couldn't pass up the prime opportunity to try these with the butter spread of the week: truffle butter (I'm a sucker for truffle). I reserved my bagels and spreads online because I had heard there was a line for these and the weather was just starting to get chilly. But I forgot I was going early on a weekday on LI, which means there was zero line. There were people inside the small store when I had finally found where it was on the meandering hill a lot further up north than I had thought. But certainly, not a line out the door. There were people making fresh batches of bagels, and I picked up my order in no time. For me, I like that the size of the bagels are smaller and more manageable than some of the gigantic portions we get for bagels nowadays. But that does make these pretty pricey. I ripped up one of the plain bagels inside the car on my way home. The taste and texture is great, though this is Long Island and there are plenty of great bagels shops all across. They seem to be meant to be dipped generously in the schmears, as the bagel was a tad plain on the border of underseasoned. When I got home, the bagels had lost their fresh-baked warmth but tasted great all the same. The truffle butter was worth drooling after. The scallion cream cheese was fresh, though, again, this is Long Island so it is not difficult to find a bagel shop with good flavored cream cheese. Overall, if you have lived on LI/metro NYC area all your life and never had the experience of suffering through years of truly horrendous bagels elsewhere, Pop Up Bagels might not mean much. I thought they were cute and pretty solid, with the rotating innovative schmears being their key selling point. The bagels and spreads were all good quality and fresh. It's fun to rip and dip, though I could not get my parents on board for the life of me and they insisted on slicing their bagels in half no matter how much I explained the concept. I would visit Pop Up Bagels again if I saw a fun flavor I want to try out.

I was confused at first because I thought "pop up" meant it was a pop up and would only be around for a little bit. Well it's a brick & mortar. They also only let you order up to 3 days ahead for online orders. Not sure if you order in person but the only options online were plain, salt, sesame, poppy and everything. I don't eat poppy seeds and don't like added salt so it was a little disappointing that 3 of the options were not ones I would ever eat. I hope soon they offer egg, onion and cinnamon raisin options! We ordered the scallion cream cheese and the special schmear of the week which was yam. I walked in to pick up my order. The space is cute, the workers energetic and friendly. Since it was a timed order, the bagels were ready. They were still warm which was nice since it meant it wasn't sitting there for an hour. Of course we had to try one in the car. We ordered a dozen, 4 plain, 4 sesame and 4 everything. The plain deceptively looked like it had a cheese crust. When you bite in, it has a nice bageley texture, not too hard like crusty bread and not too soft, it had a chew. The inside was airy but yet still chewy, not dense, not bready. Really enjoyed the plain and sesame bagels. My family loved the everything bagel and that was the first to disappear. The sesame and everything were covered. The scallion cream cheese was good nothing special but solid. The yam schmear was a surprise. In theory it sounds not great. In actuality it was so good. They probably added something (maybe brown sugar?) to sweeten it. It ended up being the favorite of the 2 with my family especially with the everything bagel. Apparently the salty and sweet combo. The package was $42. A bit pricey if you don't need 12 bagels at once. Not bad for a crowd. Would we go again? Yes if we need for a crowd. It's too much for just the two of us. We didn't want the disappointment of standing on a line to find they ran out so we ordered online. Not sure what the experience is for those who order at the store.

grabbed a quick breakfast with my mom & aunt this morning - i've seen this location in the city & was very excited to see that they had a location out in LI. we got the scallion cream cheese & maple cinnamon butter with each variety of bagel. the bagels were so fresh & fluffy. service was quick & staff was very kind. one thing i do wish is that they had more seating areas. we have some family coming into town for the holidays & we'll definitely be ordering a lot for the house!
