MPB has become my go-to breakfast spot for the 3 yrs. Great food but even better people. I typically pick up a half dozen to dozen bagels, always freshly made, a half pound to a pound of cream cheese. My family loves the lox spread and their vegetable cream cheese. When I'm not ordering a dozen bagels, I usually order bacon egg and cheese sandwiches for my family. They also make the absolute best classic tuna fish. It's so delicious that I almost always order a tuna fish hero once or twice a week. MPB is conveniently located on Northern Blvd across from the Munsey Park elementary school. Come on down. I've been here a couple of times. However, this last time I was disgusted at the hygiene of this place. First off there was a dingy/dirty rag full of bacteria on the cutting board where the bagels are placed and my bagel was right next to it. I watched in disbelief how they think this is acceptable. Instead a clean wax paper on top of the cutting board should be used and replacing gloves constantly to avoid to contamination. As well, this place is poorly well kept LOOK CLOSELY. Great selection of fresh bagels in the morning. Perfect size, all still warm from being freshly made, great tasting cream cheese. The staff are excellent and very friendly. I had asked whether the chedda cheese bagels were ready and they were not however after I had paid and about to leave, they indicated that were just finished and if I wanted one. I said yes and to switch with one of the two dozens bagels I had already purchased however they just gave it to me for free. Thank you again and will be back. read more

I tried to give this place a fair chance before writing this review. But, the truth is, the Korean lady at the register rips people off. On three separate occasions visiting this place we were over charged. I spoke to the owner and had him ring up my orders again and he agreed it was overcharged. Once can just be a mistake, but every time? If they cheat each person for $1 on every order they made themselves a little side business on everyone else's dime. One order was $4 more, two other orders were $1 more each. Those are the ones I counted, and Knew for sure were wrong. Also, a bagel with 2 eggs, 1 slice of roast beef, lettuce, tomato and two coffees...$20.50. This place creates its own prices and the bagels are not even that good. No thanks. read more

The lady who answers the phone is extremely rude! I place an order and was over charged and was refused a refund. I asked to speak with the Manager and the lady hung up three times and would not allow me to speak with the owner. It's unfortunate, their employees do not understand how to provide customer service. I work for at Near by hospital and maybe losing customers will help them understand the meaning of good customer service. I love bagels and Munsey Park bagels are the best in the area. Their egg everything bagel and cinnamon raisin are my favorites. They are fluffy, chewy, and always fresh. Service is also friendly. Would never go back. Ripping people off is unacceptable. My elderly mother went here with her care companion who was also picking up a bagel sandwich for me. I ordered whitefish salad. When I pulled mine out if the bag my initial thought was oh no this is just a plain bagel because it was not heavy enough to be a sandwich. I open it and there's barely any whitefish. Like maybe a teaspoon of it. Insane. I was so hungry and so upset. Not only that, no lettuce, tomato, pickle or side salad with it and this must've cost about $7 to $8!! Whitefish is one of the most expensive things you can order as a bagel sandwich. To have given me less than a baby would eat means this place should just close if they don't want to fulfill an order properly. Other places put about a quarter pound of salad and give a pickle and side of coleslaw. Good thing my mother's sandwich was a little better as she's 15 pounds underweight. The food (especially the banana bread) at Munsey Park Bagels is good, but I am honestly appalled at the way the owners treat the people who work here. I went in to buy lunch today and was shocked to hear the way the female boss was speaking to one of her employees-- screaming at him in Korean and calling him stupid. When her husband tried to intervene, she stormed into the back office and screamed: "Just fire him!" She must not have realized there was another person in earshot who understood Korean (me). I have had bad bosses before but the actions of this woman border on workplace harassment. I don't think I will be returning to Munsey Park Bagels again. We drive from Douglaston on the weekends to come here - it's that good and that reliable. A small deli/cafe that never disappoints. Prices are great for the area ($4.50 for meat, egg and cheese bagel sandwich) and they always have a wide variety of drinks, chips, candy and snacks. Bagels are soft, moist, and fresh. This is a really nice, quaint little bagel shop on the miracle mile. A clean and well lit store with a decent sized parking area. The employees were very nice and friendly. The bagels were big and fluffy with a nice crunchy outer crust and a soft chewy inside. Just like a New York bagel should be. I ordered egg whites with bacon on a sesame bagel. The sandwich was served with an impressive amount of egg whites and albeit lopsided, a decent amount of bacon. The eggs were cooked well and the bacon was crisp and delicious. The coffee was self-serve, which I truly enjoy as nobody can ever seem to get my coffee order right. Their selection of coffee goes from regular, decaf, French vanilla, and hazelnut. I chose the regular coffee which was halfway decent. As I prefer my coffee to be on the strong side. I will certainly drop by again if I am in the area try some of the other sandwiches that they have listed on their menu. read more
