They rustproofing my two crv, initially I leave them trhu their code a nice review. After I went under my car, they missed spraying very important spots, Many years ago my car will drip oil for days after the treatment, this year their didn't cover the whole under car in a full 160 dollars package. I will have to avoid coming in the future, I told them in advance I need a good job. More than 300 dollars to the garbage ... will buy spray at Canadian tire and do what they didn't. read more

Came here to get some rust roofing done on an older model used car. Their hours are very good, they took an appointment which they kept to the requested time without delay and the waiting area had both free coffee, and free wifi. It was about 45 minutes to complete. They missed a spot when they were doing my rust proofing but I was able to come back without an appointment and they took my car right away, it was very quick corrected. I also got a free car wash coupon good for that day only, that was a bit of a waste since I didn't want to use it the same day as the application. Oh well, it was just a bonus. Overall average prices and I like that the spray they use is the "corrosion free" brand clear liquid rust proofing. read more

The two guys working at the Popular lube and tire shop on the Westmall were extremely rude and lacked  professionalism. One of them used profanities while speaking with me and did not keep his mask on during our interaction. They also quoted me a price on the phone to replace the valve on my tire and then increased the price when I got there. They denied giving me the lower price on the phone but they became quite nervous when I informed them that the call was recorded. It clearly made them feel uncomfortable to be called out on their lies! I advised them that I will be escalating this issue to their manager. They had no idea of how inappropriate they were being and how shamefully they represented the company. read more

I got my winter tires changed at this business and a few days later, my front tire on the driver side came off while I was driving on the Hy-way. Thankfully, and I really mean thankfully, I was not injured as I ended on the right shoulder parallel to the passing lane on DVP highway. This incident could have taken my life. I towed my vehicle back to the garage and the staff were very dismissive, attempting to find blame on my part. I was told that the incident had happened because my rims were rusty in an attempt for them to up sell me new rims. I subsequently got a second opinion from another mechanic shop and was told that this was not necessary, and the reason my tire fell off was because my tire had not been properly secured. When a customer chooses a place to change their winter tires, they expect things to be done correctly, as this is a life or death matter. I am filing this because I fear for the safety of the customers that change their winter tires at this business. read more

I hadn't heard of them before but I found a groupon deal and it was close to home so I decided to give it a shot. Not knowing anything about this company, I was pleasantly surprised by their efficiency, friendly staff and overall value. I also got an interior cleaning/detailing while I was there... I am giving them one star only because I have to in order to write this review, or I would give none. Brought my Range Rover in for an oil change. After waiting for over an hour, the mechanic told me he was unable to do the job as their machine that takes the oil out was not functioning properly. He told the other mechanic to finish putting the filter back in and reassemble where necessary. 3 hours later they had to call in a supervisor as the remaining mechanics did not know how to do it. The manager apologized and said the supervisor would complete the job at no cost. The supervisor Darcy then approached me 15 mins later and said the owner would give me 30 dollars off the oil change. It was now 3 hours and 15 mins waiting, with nothing done and they low ball me with this pathetic offer Bottom line, don't trust your car to a bunch of fake mechanics who have NO idea on customer service. I visit Popular Lube & Tires often for our seasonal tire change and oil maintenance. My last visit on Saturday, November 16th is the reason for my 1 star review. I will not be returning. On Monday, November 11th (Remembrance Day), I arrived at Popular Lube to attempt to have my tires changed over to winters. My winter tires were in Popular Lube's storage. When I arrived there were 7 cars ahead of me in line. I arrived at 11:15 a.m. While waiting in the car, numerous vehicles drove to the front of the line and would go out of view. I noticed cars leaving but the line wasn't moving up. I called their phone number at 12:52 p.m. and asked how long the wait would be and the man on the phone said 1 hour, I told him my tires were in storage. Finally at around 1:30 p.m. and with still 5 cars ahead of me, I asked a service person walking by the vehicle where the last two vehicles I saw drive up went and his response was that they were appointments. During the 2 hours that I sat there, approximately 4-5 appointment vehicles arrived. I left. On Thursday, November 13th, I called Popular Lube again to indicate that I intended to show up on Saturday to have my tires changed over. I asked how early I should be there if I want to be first in line and that I had attempted to book an appointment online since my tires were stored with them but didn't hear back. The man on the phone said that they do not take appointments and suggested I arrive 40 mins before 9:00 a.m. for an early spot in the line. On Saturday, November 16th, I arrived at Popular Lube at 7:45 a.m. I was the first in line. There was a man in the shop already. A vehicle pulled up at around 8:00 a.m. and went in for service though they don't open until 9:00 a.m. At 9:00 a.m. a service person came out and asked that I pull up in front of a service door. When I got out of the vehicle to go into the waiting area a service person approached me and asked where my tires were. I told him that they had them in storage. He said "well they should have been pulled out, did you give someone the ticket number" and I said no, that I had called 2 times previously and attempted to book an appointment and mentioned that my tires were in storage each time and no one asked for my information. He apologized and said it wasn't my fault and to pull the vehicle in. Another man began to argue with him about not having the tires and the gentlemen said "we have enough man power, go get the tires". After my vehicle was pulled in, the "manager" came over to tell me that it could take up to a half an hour to find my tires and that they would have to park my vehicle to the side. I argued with him and explained that this wasn't my fault and that his staff had multiple opportunities to ask for my information which I find very ironic, considering they don't take appointments and the public are expected to just wait in line (here's an assumption, but I would assume most people don't tell them when they are coming, they just arrive and wait in the VERY long line). The "manager" was rude, clearly sexist and had no intention of making it a priority to resolve the issue. I went to wait in the waiting room while they looked for my tires. Two vehicles were serviced ahead of mine in the meantime. Once they found the tires approximately 30 minutes later, they began to service the vehicle. During the service, one of the staff came out and asked me for my keys (which I left in the vehicle as requested, maybe check before asking the customer and making them think you've lost their keys) and then came back 10 mins later to tell me that the price for my tire rotation had INCREASED $20... and that my vehicle was considered an import (2015 VW Golf TDI). At this point, I was annoyed and I asked that they not store my tires and get me when the time came to move items in the trunk. They instead put the dirty tire bags on my seats. When checking out, I asked for a copy of my old invoice and the current one. They clearly charged me for a regular sedan at my last visit and now considered my vehicle to be an import. After this service, I had to drive to a car wash to have my seats cleaned. I will never return to Popular Lube. It's annoying if one thing goes wrong but the whole experience was horrible. I will have to torque my wheels myself as I refuse to return. Stay clear. It seems most of the experienced staff that were decent have left and there are a lot of inexperienced workers with ZERO customer service skills. read more

They offer a Groupon for $29, but if you don't realize that it isn't for synthetic oil, they won't offer a rebate on the Groupon when you get there and then they up charge you another $50. One employee said people needed to learn about there cars before coming to them. He also said that he 'didn't give a shit' if I posted a review, so here it is. Another rep who dealt with a frustrated customer muttered 'the joys of dealing with the general public' as he walked away from her. Be very very very careful with these people. read more

I have been using their oil/lube shop for some time. I actually take 2 cars for oil changes. Now that it is winter, I decided to give their car wash a try. I printed a coupon from their web site and was appalled when they would not accept it. When I asked them to explain this, I WAS CALLED AN 'ASSHOLE' IN FRONT OF OTHER CUSTOMERS. There is no reasoning with the people who own this operation. They recognize me from my oil change visits, yet seemed OK to insult me and simply act in an explainable way. My suggestion to anyone who visits this shop/carwash is to stay away! They do not deserve your business. AND THEY DO NOT REPRESENT FAIR AND REPUTABLE BUSINESS PRACTICE. STAY AWAY! read more

Terrible, Terrible, disgustingly terrible experience. I went in for an oil change and came out with $1500 worth of damage to my vehicle. The technician who worked on my vehicle, Clayonn (Jeff) left my prop rod up and decided to shut the roof while it was still up which created a significant dent in my hood, resulting in the inability to close my hood without slamming in and damaging more parts. I went back immediately after and the owner, Jolly, looked it and without even giving it any consideration and denying the opportunity to review surveillance videos he had (he claimed it was personal videos and none of my business) he said the dent is a result of external damage which was physically impossible and the fact that I can no longer close the hood is due to wear and tear. A few days later, after days and days of avoiding my phone calls, not returning my phone calls, disappearing when I was there to speak to him, he finally admitted it was his fault only to completely LIE over and over again about not saying this at all. He also claimed he has to speak with the "owner" which later I found out he is the owner. Bottom line, its not worth going there for a car wash, oil change or anything done on your vehicle. There is a reason they charge so little and that is simply due to the fact that he hires incompetent individuals. STAY AWAY from this place if you value your vehicle. read more

Got my oil change done on my dodge. These guys do a decent job. I m watching them while they do service my car, they check all indicators wipers, tire pressure, change my oil and filter. The guy explain s every thing nicer way no push selling like other places. I will come back hear from now on. And oil change comes with free car wash. read more
