both!

constant stream of people leaving with boxes of donutty goodness during the time I was there so I guess popular fits and I can see why: fresh and soft and tasty and most of the donuts are normal sized, not the monstrous variety that seem to be all the rage lately. it's halfway through the morning and not all varieties are being replenished in the cases. signage states that the store is working to minimize food waste and when they're done they're done so plan your day accordingly. I selected an orange cruller and an old fashioned to start and was quite pleased with them both. bright orange glaze on a too light and too airy doughnut is very nearly perfect in style and substance with just enough body to support the oh so zesty orange icing and maintain its crullery curl. the old fashioned was true to form and well executed: firm and dense with a simple glaze, the type of donut grandpa would sample while considering yesterday's box scores. good thing they are twenty minutes in the wrong direction from work or I'd need new pants every month.

I have purchased donuts here for a local customer of mine 3-4 times a year for the last 5 years. My customer likes the donuts however this visit I am informed I can't get a receipt for my credit card purchase ($14.00). They no longer can print receipts because they are not willing to pay for the paper. I will not return to a business that can't supply a receipt for my purchase as I don't get reimbursed for my expense. Am I wrong to believe a business owes a receipt for product sold?

These donuts are PHENOMENAL!! Stopped here for donuts before our meeting and they were super quick and their donuts were so soft and fresh. They had a wide variety of donuts (even cruellers!). Make sure to stop in and try their donuts! (I missed out on their buttermilk donuts)

Ask the Community - Popular Donuts

Is it expensive?

About triple what regular Donuts cost. Maybe double what Krispy Creams cost. That being said my wife loves them. Note of caution, they rarely stock any Donuts, which is strange considering the name "POPULAR". Hope this helps?

Do they have French crullers?

Yes

Many thanks to my coworker who told me to check out Viera's. It was a better experience than I ever…read moreexpected. Walking in I was overwhelmed with the number of sweet options that stood before me. On each wall were tall enclosed shelves that had a glass front where you could see rows and rows of deliciousness! I must've walked around the shop five or six times looking like a crazy woman before I finally picked up my tray and tongs--yes a tray and tongs! At Viera's you are able to pick out all the treats that you want--no side eye from the person at the counter as you try to decide what you want, etc. And the prices are right there in front of you--so many delicious deals! I was told to try a cinnamon roll, so that is where I went first. Then my eye caught a lemon Danish and that ended up on the tray as well. Last was the largest donut on earth that was hanging out on a tray that they were about to take away. Once you are done you walk up to the counter and they box you up and you pay. For my three items I just paid $6.75! This is such a great deal as this will be breakfast and dessert easily for 3/4 days! I love that everything here is fresh and not overly sweet. It hit and satisfied every one of my taste buds! I will be back for more soon!

Here in the Tri-Cities we are lucky. For 57.1% days of the week (i.e. 4 days of the week) during…read morethe summer, we have the opportunity to shop at a Farmers Market. The most famous is certainly Pasco's on Saturday & Wednesday. Richland has one on Friday. Thursday evenings from 4-8pm, Kennewick has Southridge Farmers Market. I've become a Farmers Market nerd as of late. There's nothing like taking my empty shopping bags to a market and walking away with them filled with produce grown just miles from where I live. It just tastes some much "gooder". If I had both a green thumb and stayed home enough to be able to water things enough, I'd totally try to garden. But that's just not in the cards for me. Enter my friend: local Farmers Market. This market is quite a trek away for this north Richland resident, but I just had to feed my curiousity. The market is in the parking lot of a newer strip-mall-y type places. I was surprised to see a large number of vendors jam-packed into the parking lot. I made a quick scan and found vendors which I've seen at other markets. It's all good. It's all good stuff. I picked up my newest form of crack: donut peaches. Oh man, these things tastes SO GOOD! I also picked up some freshly picked blueberries and strawberries. I like. My only dislike: the parking. This market had a surprising amount of traffic, and the parking area was overflowing. My newly-washed car had to offroad it onto a sandy field to park. Honestly....why should I complain, as Joni Mitchell says, they pave paradise and put up parking lots. Yeah....there's nothing wrong with NOT paving. I'll shut up and stop whining. Donut peach, please!

Good variety of vendors! One side is generally produce, while the other has local businesses,…read moreincluding the bookmobile, WSU Tri Cities, and other places. Fun environment, not too crowded, and priced well- I cannot wait to see this grow as more people hear about it! :)
