okay, was looking for doughnuts and Francisco's shows up. when I looked at the pictures and saw cases of what we call mexican wedding cookies I couldn't get here fast enough. came in Sunday morning jonesing hard and got a couple of these, some of those, and a vanilla/maple frosted yeast donut guy :-) cookies are a little smaller and denser than back home but they'll do in a pinch ;-) like most delicacies the stuff you know is the stuff you know and these are a little different. not so different that I didn't enjoy the variety box that I got and it won't keep me away or anything... just not likely to replace my favorite cookie shop back home (and the 40 hour drive kinda seals it.) read more

First came in here for their doughnuts, they make the cutest gingerbread man shaped glazed donuts with maple and cream cheese, while in there they told me they made birthday cakes too. Ordered my daughter's 2nd birthday cake. Showed them a picture of what I wanted. I was so happy with the cake they made! It was red velvet with cream cheese filling and buttercream frosting! This cake was so moist so delicious. My husband who doesn't even like cake said it was delicious/moist/amazing! Price was great! Very pleased. I also found in their bread rolls that are stuffed with cream cheese/jalapeño and mozzarella/pepperoni, those were also amazing! So far everything I've tried has been great! read more

Incredible that Don Francisco has such a rude, arrogant, and ill-tempered employee. Several people had already told me about this woman and her poor customer service, and that is why they no longer return to this business. They witnessed her mistreating a young woman who was training there, and today I personally experienced her arrogant, rude, and disrespectful behavior. I asked to speak with the owner, and she refused to call him. I had to raise my voice for him to come out so I could inform him about the type of employee he has. I hope he reassigns her to a position behind the scenes, without direct contact with customers. read more

Got a delicious pepperoni and mozzarella roll. I don't know what it's called. It really hit the spot. Parmesan on top, amazing dough. Awesome little hole in the wall. Only two table so I ate mine outside with my buddy. People coming in non stop so you know it's good. read more

The service is great and and the desserts are amazing, the place is a great small business, that deserves to be recognized

Very amazing service, and they are very friendly and answer all questions. The food (bread) is really good, soft and freshly made daily! It is also really good and low prices! Very amazing vibes and ambiance as well! 10/10 recommend! read more

Kind staff. Great snacks. Went above and beyond for birthday treats I bought for a friend.

I cannot say enough good things about this place! I am always blown away by the quality and attention to detail. It is a fun experience getting to select my own treats, and the staff is always so friendly and helpful! This is a must stop every visit! read more

Wanted to give it a try. The bread is good, selection is good enough but the service could improve. The person working had such a soft voice I could barely hear her. She didn't greet us when we came into the store and was just very serious/shy, which isn't bad but it kinda gives the impression of not great customer service I don't know if I'll be coming back read more

Great variety of foods!! Cakes, breads, pastries etc.. it's also very good and nice coworker!!

We loved all the pastries we tried! Totally traditional Mexican pastries were such a treat. They did not speak very much English so I apologize I do not know the names of what we bought. They were very nice and polite to us!! read more

Donuts are pretty good but not near as good as popular. Also got the carrot cake muffins are were very dry.

Went to Francisco's today for Mexican sweetbreads. A great selection and wow they are good. My brother is visiting from California and we talked about the one we got in Fresno California when we were kids. The taste brought back fond memories. Reasonable priced and fresh. I'll be back again soon. read more

Only so so, pastries didn't seem that fresh. I was there early Sunday so thought it would be good.

Francisco's is my favorite bakery in the Tri-Cities. We got our wedding cake/cupcakes from them when we got married and we consistently stop by whenever we are back in town to visit. We love their frosted sugar cookies and their prices are fantastic. They have a large variety of treats to choose from and I've never seen them low on stock. read more

Francisco bakery had one of the best doughnuts in town but there orders defiantly need improvement. There have been three different occasions where the order are completely unacceptable. 20.00 for strawberries in cake. Pricey but it's fine just wanted some fresh strawberries layered in the cake . The photos speak for them selves. read more

Francisco's Bakery - a box of donuts and pastries - Bakeries Near Me - Kennewick, Washington

After having enchiladas for dinner this past Saturday night, it seemed entirely appropriate to stop at Francisco's Pasteleria to pick up some dessert. Francisco's is one of the finest bakeries I've ever visited. For starters, I was impressed by the vast selection available so late on a Saturday evening. While there was the typical selection of sweet Mexican baked goods, including conchas, there were also items like maple bars and doughnuts for those customers with gabacho preferences. Francisco's also had these Stromboli-like items containing ham and cheese. I opted for a slice of pound cake, a "turtle" and a "Bavarian Crème cone." Each item was fresh and tasty. The pound cake was moist and dense with a pleasant robust vanilla flavor. The "turtle" was a flat circular roll of caramel (and maybe a little toffee) and walnuts embedded in chocolate (available in either milk or dark chocolate). Decadent and delicious. The "Bavarian Crème cone" was a bread/croissant item shaped like an ice cream cone and filled with Bavarian crème. I'm a sucker for Bavarian Crème and loved this confection. The young man operating the store was friendly, engaging and very helpful in his suggestions. read more

I just ducked in here for something sweet and ate it a bit later after a very large lunch. They had an assortment of wonderful pastries and I could have bought a lot more than what I did but as soon as I zeroed in on their German Chocolate cupcakes the rest was history. When I was hungry enough after arriving back to my motel I was in sheer chocolate bliss! The cupcake was wonderful! I'm not sure when my next trip will be back to the area but when I do come back I will make it a priority to come here for my sweets! Delicious! read more

A very good bakery, at least for traditional donuts and stuff. The prices are extremely good and the staff friendly. Since the store is configured as self serve, they are doing their best by having "new" and "used" tong bins for each customer to pick out their goodies using clean tongs. I am not sure if there is actually a difference between the bins or if they just switch the names around when the used bin is full, but it makes me feel better to believe there is. At any rate, the maple bar and apple fritter I purchased were very good and I will be a repeat customer when in Kennewick read more

The cake was given to us frozen. They did not tell us in advanced and when we called the manager acted as if they did not care. Unfortunately I will not be buying from this business again. She proceeded to say that they put tres leches cakes in the fridge, but this was not tres leches. This cake was dry and the frosting was stale, I do not recommend. read more

Easily the best maple bacon donut in town. The bacon was perfect, the maple wasn't too sweet. And the kids are devouring their donuts too. No surprise there. read more

Young lady in the front barely looked up with a fake smile. The selection of bread was small, and what they did have was not fresh. We purchased 6 pieces of bread for almost $8. Other local bakeries similar to this one are not as over priced. Once we got home 1 of the 6 pieces we purchased were edible, the rest were stale. Make the drive to Vieras in Pasco, or any other bakery in Pasco for good quality and fresh bread. read more

This place USED to be good when Francisco was there to oversee things but over the past few years it's really gone downhill. When the cats away the mouse will play. Old stale bread and cookies. Honestly, I'll just make the drive to Vierras or another bakery cause I feel like selling old bread is not a good business model. Sad cause this used to be the same or better than Vierras. read more

Francisco's bakery is amazing. I always go there for treats but this time I went and asked for a custom gluten free unicorn cake for my 8 year old and it was not only adorable but tasted phenomenal. I was shocked by the quality of the cake since GF items are usually super dense and crumbly. This cake was amazing both taste and looks. My family was so impressed thank you Francisco! read more

Had the disc and it was so good. Imagine palmiers as big as your head and have a hint of cinnamon and you get yourself a disc. Definitely a must try. Their donut actually is pretty good. Made an order on Thanksgiving day so happy they were open for me to send a box of goodies to my parents and their employees who live far away and have to work on a holiday. Was having issues with the Uber driver who cancelled my order mid delivery but Daniel was so helpful and kind sent a box of assortments himself when my Uber order didn't work. So thankful for him and their business being open. My parents and I will be new customers to this business! read more

Oh man, YUM!!! I have to force myself to not stop here pretty much every time I drive down Clearwater. I have yet to go in the morning, which is prime doughnut time... but even in the afternoons they've had a decent doughnut selection and they are yummy!! They have other baked goods.... try the cake on a stick! Try some of everything actually! Just not all at once.... that's not the best idea, I would know. ;) read more

This is a nice little bakery with tasty treats ranging from donuts to customized cakes. They also have muffins, cupcakes, cookies, turnovers, cinnamon rolls, and mexican pastries, most of which are in self-serve cases. Pepsi products and milk are available to wash down your treats as you sit in the small dining area. This review is based on the few donuts we tried. The thing preventing this place from a higher rating is price and taste. The donuts are about on par with grocery store donuts in regard to taste, but I was disappointed to find only a small teaspoon amount of custard inside my bismark donut. That said, the price is considerably higher. Overall, I don't think we'd go out of our way to come here again. read more

I was really looking forward to trying this place, and finally got around to it. I had a braid donut and a scone, and my mom had a Bismarck donut and a scone. My braid donut was really soft, fresh, and delicious. Also, not too sweet like Krispy Kreme. My mom said her donut was soft and fresh as well but said there was very little creme filling inside which was a bummer. Also, the scones were good, but nothing really special. There wasn't as much filling inside as I would have liked and the pastry wasn't super tasty. All in all, I will probably go back and try some more of their donuts, because my donut was super good! The prices were also pretty reasonable which was nice. But the Bismarck wasn't great and the scones were only average. read more

A first rate, smaller family bakery. I was delighted to see them open on my early morning walk one day. I was greeted by, Daniel, and served a warm-fresh Empanada at a price any student can afford. I learned they bake all types of delicious goods for the tummy, oh so yummy. I learned during a snow storm that Francisco takes the time to make sure his sidewalks are ready for the Seniors, kids, and disabled to get where they need to go, he shovels them and applies salt. Way to go. read more

Amazing selection and great prices. It was really hard to choose. I would definitely recommend.

Cake pops and the pretzel rods are my must-haves. Red velvet cake pops are so incredibly moist and the pretzel rods are dipped in caramel and then covered with chocolate and sprinkles. Love that this bakery is open late and they have a huge variety of desserts to choose from. read more
