If you're able to dine-in, we like to get our bagels toasted with our cream cheese of choice, first eating the lower half of the covered bagel, then lastly the top half. Quirky girls we are! It's a bright and spacious dining area with big windows for natural light. I like getting the toasted everything bagel with veggie cream cheese. My daughter would get a toasted blueberry bagel with a strawberry cream cheese. Occasionally, we've gotten a toasted bagel to-go but it's not as enjoyable to eat, as the bagel is now sandwiched together, sweating in the wrapping paper and cream cheese seems less plentiful when it's just a big glob in the middle. Also, in dining in, you get Some Bagels coffee mugs to refill as you sit. This gives me sort of a Perkins/Sharis/Denny's feel to have an actual ceramic mug to drink out of instead of a disposable cup with lid. read more

This was not a five-star experience, which is disappointing because I really wanted to support this business. This review is about the terrible behavior of staff members to each other. My food and beverages have always been good. My first visit was wonderful. The two younger women and a young man who was training were incredibly kind, welcoming, and did a fantastic job. I had actually forgotten about Some Bagels and hadn't been there in years, but because of how positive that experience was, I came back. Since then, I've become a regular, stopping in once or twice a week. The employees I most often see--Sage, Sofie, and Ryder--are always friendly, work well together, and handle busy rushes with professionalism. They are the reason I kept returning. Unfortunately, over several visits, I've also noticed two more seasoned employees making rude comments to the younger staff and speaking to them very abruptly. At first, I gave them the benefit of the doubt because it was busy, and I assumed they were simply stressed. However, one visit changed my opinion. I witnessed one of the older employees speaking to Sofie in such a disrespectful manner that she looked like she was on the verge of tears. I was honestly shocked that anyone would speak to a coworker that way, especially in front of customers. Today's visit was the final straw. There were several employees working, and I was waiting behind two customers ordering coffee drinks. Ryder prepared their drinks, and the customers clarified they wanted them hot instead of iced. On a 100-degree day, it's an understandable mistake to assume iced. He immediately apologized and remade the drinks. When he returned, one customer clarified that one of the drinks was actually a different beverage altogether. Throughout the entire interaction, an employee named JESSI repeatedly corrected, scolded, and embarrassed Ryder in front of customers. I made a point to learn her name because her behavior stood out so negatively. JESSI, it took everything in me not to say something. I have never spoken to a coworker, employee, or any person with that level of disrespect, especially over an honest mistake that was handled professionally. To the owner: your younger employees are the reason customers like me come back. They are friendly, hardworking, and represent your business well. Unfortunately, the way I have repeatedly witnessed some senior staff treat them has completely overshadowed the positive experiences. Sadly, I will not be returning. Good customer service builds loyal customers, but poor leadership and disrespectful treatment of employees are impossible to ignore. no class this morning so I drop into the Uptown Mall. such a cool vibe here, the 60's idea of futuristic stylings: digging the G Jetson Wild West motif of the shoppes. came by to grab a bite before getting on with the day and everything feels comfortably old school in the best sort of way including the pump-o-matic for your drip coffee needs: first you pump, then you coffee, pump, coffee, pump, coffee... you could cream and sugar if you did that stuff. but why? and a little bit later your bagel sandwich shows up! and you kinda think it should have been toasted but when you bite into it you realize that a raw bagel is the correct bagel for the weekly special which truly was :-) sliced turkey, lettuce, tomato, cucumber, and jalapeno cream cheese on an asiago bagel plus bagel chips!! read more

Oh man where do I start. My family came hungry and order 4 bagel sandwiches and two lattes and took it to go. My sandwich was good but the avocado tasted like playdo. Seriously! We order two avocados on the side for my kids, my kids were complaining about the smell and taste so I went to see and sure enough it was nasty! After finishing up my bagel, I went to drink my latte and it was so gross!!! Like plastic or something in my drink. I wish I tried it while I was there because I would make her redo it or refund me. I can't even drink it for even energy because it gives you a nasty leftover taste. Even gross Starbucks is way better then and I hate Starbucks coffee. I would not recommend this place. The employees are friendly, however it is disappointing that I have been unable to taste the gelato as the machine appears to always be out of service. While I have enjoyed everything I have tried at this eatery, the food seems a bit overpriced. Stopped in this morning and got a cinnamon swirl with frosting cream cheese bagel and a blueberry bagel with marionberry frosting. Normally they do a pretty good job to not put too much cream cheese on their bagel but this morning was the exception. It left me feeling disappointed by this. This will kill your food cost since your new employee is ill-trained. Bagels become a mess to eat and becomes less desirable to frequent this particular location. The bagels are my favorite. I've been coming here for about 12 years. I've moved but its always one if the first places I go when I come home. I order breakfast for my sister, brother, mom and myself plus a half dozen to go and bagel chips for under $15! I love that they keep it cheap and simple. My great grandparents lived off Symons right behind here and now my mom lives there. Only a few original business' are still running in the uptown complex and I hope some bagels stays! Every once in a while, you crave a bagel. It just so happens that the bagel shop in Richland serves a fresh variety of baked bagels every day. Their menu includes breakfast bagels, with egg, turkey ham, and cheese (my personal favorite), bagels with your choice of homemixed cream cheese (veggie, berry, etc), and bagel sandwiches. There's a new special every day for lunch and for lattes. The sandwiches are filling, and come with bagel chips - made from the "fresh yesterday" bagels. A unique twist to the bagels is the fresh gelato made at Some Bagels. It's a little pricey for the Tri-Cities, but I'm told it's well worth it. Of the two times I've tried it, their drip coffee was nothing but dirty water without a hint of coffee taste. And though they offer espresso, I wouldn't try it. There are far better places in Richland to get coffee prior to your bagel trip. Do try the bagels, you can even grab a bag to take home and share with the family. It's not the most spectacular eatery in town, but it serves a purpose and hits the spot. read more

The star rating, courtesy of my husband. The review is all me. Some Bagels is a pretty incredible place. As far as I can tell, their bagels are still freshly made. They're the perfect combination of sweet, soft, and chewey. Add their wonderful flavored cream cheese to it, and you have a wonderful creation. My husband swears by their coffee and lattes (he works a few stores down from the joint, so I can't say if the romance is that of convenience) but he always likes his coffee a little sweeter than most. The place is clean, it's just older so it may not look the part. Everything behind the counter looks very sanitary. (Always a plus, right?) They offer their own version of a punch card. I'm not sure what I'm working towards with it, but may as well use it. They make bagel sandwiches, but I'm not a fan. They're good, just not my thing. I much prefer burgers. Over all, a good quick stop on your way to work for a snack. Maybe a quick stop for lunch if you're running short on time. Enjoyable, with friendly staff and nummy bagels. read more

I think "Some Bagels" is an adequate way to characterize the food at Some Bagels. They were were neither Very Good Bagels or Very Bad Bagels. The only way their name wouldn't work is if they meant it like in the movie Babe where the character said the Babe was "some pig" in a highly complimentary way. Anyway, my girlfriend and I picked up breakfast there on President's day morning. We each ordered a Southwestern bagel sandwich on a jalapeno and cheese bagel. My girlfriend ordered hers with bacon, and I got sausage with mine. The bagels themselves tasted fine, although I detected neither jalapeno nor cheese on my bagel. There also didn't appear to be any jalapenos in the Southwestern egg, which was advertised to have bell peppers and jalapenos in it. The egg actually was more bell pepper than anything. They really should have chopped the bell peppers smaller. The sandwiches were fine, albeit a little bland. On the plus side, they did have a great selection of bagels and it looks like they serve gelato too. If I ever visit Richland again, I wouldn't be opposed to going back to Some Bagels and getting some bagels. read more

Some Bagels is ok, but I've got to admit it didn't blow me away. Lots of bagels to choose from (I assume they're all fresh, and they are tasty). Lots of selections on the menu. I made the mistake of assuming my bagel concoction was coming on a toasted bagel, so don't do what I did and you won't be disappointed! Don't get me wrong, I ate what I got and liked it (veggie concoction), but it would have been sooo much better if it wasn't cold! One last note: the service was really great! Well I ordered a variety of bagels from them using GrubHub (they arent on UberEats, sadly). Their GrubHub app menu is severely limited compared to their in-store options, ie if you buy a bagel with cream cheese, there isnt any options to change the type of cream cheese, nor a bagel on the app. Its just a plain bagel with cream cheese. Also, you MUST eat these bagels the same day you purchase them. They lightly toast them so they become hard as a rock the next day! The BIG winner at Some Bagels is their breakfast bagel, the ham egg and cheese one! Not only is it fairly cheap but its FABULOUS! And they dont toast it, so its perfect for the next day as well. Its obvious they dont actually MAKE the bagels in the store; they get them from an industrial food factory (bakery). All the bagels are the same size and symmetry and you dont get that out of a mom and pop store. Overall I would buy the breakfast bagel again, but not the bagels and lox (which was too expensive for what you get, IMO). read more
