This place popped up on my Facebook and immediately I wanted to try it. The pancakes and decor look great.
The place is cutely decorated. A counter bar for coffee, a comfy couch, and plenty of table seats. A place where you can have a coffee and a bite while catching up with a friend, having a breakfast date, or working / studying.
Sounds great so far right? That's where it ends. Greeted and told to take a seat. Did that then... Wait wait wait... ask for menus. Wait wait wait, you want sweet or savory menu, just kidding there is no menu just what's at the counter. Get up and view sweets selection. See pastries, cookies, and cakes. Where are the pancakes? No menu anywhere. The guy behind the counter didn't even know what kind they had and misinformed us on options. Finally order pancakes x2 and our coffees. Go back to sit as told. Wait wait wait. Coffee forgotten. Finally brought, ask for sugar. Forgot again so go up and get myself. Finally the pancakes come... look good. Ask for syrup, informed they already have on the cakes... great well I want more. Finally get some and a nice whipped cream.
Verdict... service was beyond awful. Coffee was standard. Pancakes good but a bit too salty for my liking.
Now before you judge... this wasn't a language barrier that caused such an awful experience... my boyfriend is Roman and handled the entire communication and it was still this bad.
The place is only 2 months old apparently some kinks to work out but a few tips for success:
1. Get a menus or at least board by the counter describing the pancakes, omelette, or whatever it is you can order that day. Otherwise how are people supposed to know?
2. Train your staff. read more
