It was shipped frozen and I can only guess they tried to warm it up in a microwave. Honestly, after a few bites I wrapped the remainder of the mystery meat in a napkin so I could avoid direct contact with it. Originally, I was thinking I could give it to my dog. However as a I looked at it inder a better light, I was concerned feeding it to my dog might be the basis for a felony animal abuse case against me.

It was a Thursday night and as our line of Ubers arrived the exterior lights were not illuminated and concern it was closed! Alas it was open but empty save for a card game going on in the giant unused bar. In the dining area we sat in separate booths. Most of the menu is out of stock. The fried chicken sandwich is 2 Sysco chicken fingers on a strohman roll. The server busted her a$$ to handle a crowd that the restaurant/bar was ill suited to do.

Sadly, that was where the good times ended. The decor is an eclectic mix of studio pictures from the attached photography studio. Random yet quaint. The hilarity of brown paper bags stuffed with white claws at the other tables lent a certain added character to the eatery. Certainly interesting. It is a BYOB establishment so you will be left drinking canned sodas or tea. Not a huge issue, but certainly sad. We ordered the lobster bisque as an appetizer. Fishy. I'm not afraid of fishy but I fully expect lobster to be sweet and the bisque to add a burst of creaminess. It was very obviously not fresh lobster. For entrees we ordered the lobster Mac and Cheese and the Blackened Stuffed Flounder. First, the lobster was no less fishy in the Mac and Cheese which was bland and not very flavorful. Secondly, the flounder was a huge disappointment. It wasn't blackened so didn't have that familiar character flavor profile. It was soft throughout. Like a pile of bland mush with zero flavor or texture. I wouldn't be surprised if it wasn't previously frozen and possible microwaved. To fail on all levels beyond the service is inexplicable. Sadly, this will not be on the rotation of wonderful restaurants to visit in the Kingwood area.

The pecan crusted chicken was dry and the sauce on top of it was too sweet The lamb chops were thoroughly enjoyed by the guest, who ate them All of the desserts could've been sent back because they just weren't any good. The ambience and atmosphere was great because you could hear each other. Talk and enjoy conversation. However, my all in all score of this restaurant is unfavorable. I won't be going back. The reviews that I have seen in the past are nowhere close to what was reality. The best thing that I ate tonight in the restaurant was the warm rolls with the butter.

We did experience what seemed to be some growing pains, and it was difficult for us to maintain the schedule due to other obligations that inevitably popped up, not to mention holiday closures. In the end, we got behind in classes and ultimately withdrew in the hole, no fault of School of Rock who tried to accommodate, but because of our busy lives. (Notably, there is a requisite 30-day notice to cancel. Be aware of this should you decide to enroll or withdraw.) Would we do it again? Maybe... if life were a bit less chaotic!

There is a reason, the place has not been vacuumed or cleaned in ever. Bartender was very nice and greeted me when I walked up. Beer was cold and life was good. Couple of regular types at the bar and Sinatra on the Juke box, unusual but cool. Talking to bartender then she rolls her eyes and lets out a deep sigh. I ask what's up as a man who has had a few enters the room from a glass door. She says 'Jim" and scampers somewhere in a rush. long story short, the music quickly becomes crazy loud and the regulars that were chatting are now silent and the man is attempting to tell a story but is lets just say he is not really able. The bartender was very attentive to us even while she was busy running the bar alone, she even brought us some drinks while we were playing a game of pool(I won). The dj Charlie I believe is his name, was extra friendly as he asked us for a song request...I told him to play something by randy Travis and to my amazement he didn't gawk at me, he did however play Digging up bones which apparently everyone in the bar was also a fan of. The music wasn't too loud this time but I know when they have live performances it's way louder than I can handle. Mostly everyone was playing darts inside and nothing else was going on outside probably because it's just too damn hot for that. The biggest complaint is the parking lot, it's got some big craters or pot holes, call it what you want but just drive really slow. I don't think they have a kitchen serving food but I could be wrong. I will be back in the fall
