Spicy Mayo, Char Siu Chicken Fried Rice, Firecracker Beef Dumplings (8), POP Shrimp Box, & Firecracker Chicken
Brie F.

I surprised my hunny with takeout from here and placed an order for the POP Shrimp Box with Spicy Mayo Dip, Firecracker Chicken, Char Siu Chicken Fried Rice, and Firecracker Beef Dumplings. Oh yeahhhh....Poprice I just knew you'd be a good place to order from. Something deep down in my soul told me that the food would be good. Everything was bussin except for the firecracker beef dumplings. They were a tad too salty for my taste. Portions were decent enough for leftovers.

I was pleasantly surprised by PopRice! We ordered delivery from here this evening for dinner. It's pretty much your standard mall food court style stuff IMO but for a quick dinner it definitely did the trick. We ordered: Beef short rib and fried rice Char Siu chicken and fried rice POP shrimp box Pop fried chicken box Wings (with suwon steak sauce) Beef Skewers String beans Chinese broccoli My least favorite was the char siu chicken which I found to be a bit rubbery and just weird taste wise. Neither my husband, my kids or myself liked it. I felt the fried chicken had that same rubbery texture. The wings however were great. Everything else was delicious as well. Our favorite was the beef short rib. And the fried rice was extremely yummy. I don't know if I would make this place a staple in our delivery rotation but it's definitely an option for a quick tasty meal. The prices aren't bad either and the portions are very decent.

Firecracker Chicken

Never ordering from this place again, $30 for 2 mediocre dishes. The menu is pretty limited, we tried the firecracker chicken which everyone talks about and it was disappointing. VERY greasy, not much flavor, all I tasted was oil and the chicken had a weird consistency. The rice that came with the Beef Short Rib Bulgogi was tasteless, the beef itself was very tasty, saved the dish.

Fresh Lemon Iced Tea

This place was surprisingly good. I was expecting this to be like Panda Express (which I like for what it is) but this was a good mix between Americanized and traditional Chinese food. I didn't give it 5 stars because the rice dishes didn't have enough meat for $14 dish. I ordered through Uber eats so not sure if there was a surge charge per dish. Price - On the pricier side - $14 a dish Food - The short ribs was tender and had a good KBBQ flavor. The duck was also tender and flavored with hoisin sauce. The flavoring reminds of Peking duck. I liked the fried rice. It has a cumin flavor which was unique to me. The string beans was cooked traditionally where it is lightly fried first and then sautéed. The top layer was good but as you get closer to the sauce/oil at the bottom, it gets a bit salty. The POP shrimp was decent. It has a starch-based coating and it's lightly salted. The lemon ice tea was good! It reminds me of a drink from a HK diner. Overall, I would order from them again!

Beef Short Rib Bulgogi ($13.50): take-out

Poprice is a new place that seems to focus on fried rice and fried chicken, likely geared more towards Western customers than Asian customers. I think Poprice could use more time to find its groove. We ordered two fried rice combo meals for delivery: - Five Spice Roasted Duck ($14.50): although not indicated on the menu, there was a medium level of heat to the rice that lingered. There were bits of un-rendered duck skin in the rice -- i.e., not crispy, but soft and fatty. - Beef Short Rib Bulgogi ($13.50): the beef cubes were a bit chewy. The portions are large, with multiple servings possible from each meal. The fried rice combo meals seem to share a common base, with wet and somewhat clumpy rice, soft broccoli and hard carrots. I hoped to see more differentiation between the meals for the price, such as a fried rice tailored for each protein, as well as more or higher quality protein. No condiments were included -- perhaps Poprice could be creative about this for another point of distinction. The "kimchi salad" side (actually, just kimchi) seemed watered down in flavor, and the "broccoli salad" side seemed to be extra broccoli from the fried rice. Delivery was prompt; within the estimate provided at time of order. Each meal came with a hot and sour soup which Poprice forgot to initially deliver, but they made up for it by returning very quickly with the soup and a very tasty complimentary lemon iced tea, which seemed to be made with fresh lemons. They also get kudos for including biodegradable utensils. Poprice is offering a 10% discount and free local delivery during its grand opening -- not sure how long this will last. Overall: 2.5 stars, rounded up for the Lemon Iced Tea, and good service.

Say hi to the camera

The owner is one of the most unprofessional individuals I have ever spoken to. The way i was treated was unbelievable. I made a purchase online and for some reason i never received a confirmation code. I went to the establishment mind you I live like 2 mins away. Once I showed up the first employee refused to help me and once someone that could actually speak to me with out a langue barrier showed up all they did was brush me off i explained the situation and thats when they called the owner. They put the owner on the phone and initially said no worries he was going to fix it. He asked for prove as i sent him the pictures of the transaction for my bank. All the sudden the attitude changed and now he became hostile. He started calling me a scammer and started threatening to call the cops. Be mindful i wasn't even in the establishment anymore as he had said he'd take care of it in like 15 mins. Well the end of it all i was treated with the such disrespect its unbelievable. Below you can see the messages. This is the owner. This is a prime example of how a small business shouldn't be run. This should be embarrassing and I'm embarrassed to have such an establishment in my neighborhood. We need better business with individuals that actually care for their clients not this.

General Tso Chicken Fried Rice with a piece of steak from the Poprice Steak Skewer.
Rona D.

The first time I ordered delivery from Poprice. I ordered the General Tso Chicken Fried Rice and Poper Steak Skewers. The chicken fried rice is tasty with minimal spiciness. Just right for me. The fried rice is not greasy but just a little dry BUT if you mix it with the moist chicken it's fine. The chicken is sprinkled with sesame seeds. The fried rice has broccoli, carrots & egg. The steak skewers were very good. Grilled with the right amount of chewiness. Not hard. Moist & flavorful. The chicken fried rice comes in a nice-sized bowl. The 3 skewers have nice chunks of steak. The general tso chicken fried rice did have the red chopped up in it, but they are easy to pick out. I don't eat them. Passion fruit iced tea is sweet. It comes with ice in the cup. Not too much ice. Enough so as it melts it dilutes the sweetness. I am looking forward to ordering from Poprice again.

Came here for lunch and was pleasantly surprised by the opening of this restaurant and wanted to try it out. There are no indoor seating and everything seems to be to go. The waitress was very nice and patient in answering all my questions regarding the food. I ordered the beef short rib fried rice and breaded chicken flats. The cooking area is very clean and everyone is masked. They also have $1.00 lemon teas with your lunch order of special fried rice. I decided to get it last minute. So so good! The beef short rib fried rice is amazing!! So worth the price. The flavors and the tender meat just melt in your mouth. I added hot chili oil and it was sooo gooddddd. I literally savored every bite. My only negative is that The flat breaded chicken was okay, nothing to brag about. The sauce was an orange spicy Mayo type which i enjoyed. The chicken was breaded but I didn't feel like it was seasoned well. As well I felt like it was recooked in oil twice, kinda tasted a little stale. I was glad I only got the four pieces. But overall had a good experience and would go back for that beef fried rice

Poprice Utica (Brooklyn ) vs poprice (union turnpike) #fail

This is not the same as the one in Brooklyn.. poprice utica gave you way more food and in different and bigger containers that were filled to the top. Union turnpike gave you half filled containers. Over $100 worth of food that was worth $50 Never ordering from union turnpike again I'll take the trip to brooklyn next time

Five spice roasted duck fried rice
Roger H.

Overpriced and severely lacking in both quality and quantity, the only saving grace of this place is its uniqueness. Ordered 2 entrees one side dish and two drinks and it came out to around 47 dollars which was a little painful for what looked like and tasted like low-end Chinese take out fast food. Peach iced tea was a weird combo of sour, bitter and overly sweet couldnt really justify the 3.50 price tag. 5 spice duck fried rice was nothing to write home about either. The rice clumped together and tasted slightly mushy, the duck also had this soggy mushy texture from sitting and probably cooking in the sauce while the duck overall was overpowered by sauce. The only decent dish was the fire cracker chicken which had this great szechuan flavor to it, but again the crunch just wasn't there and for a fried chicken dish, the texture wasn't there. Really wanted to like this place as its uniqueness was really interesting, but for the price and quality it just doesn't measure up to the initial hype I had.

I'll get right to it. Wingstop's bone in wings are REALLY good…read more I normally stick to their boneless plain wings because that's my usual go to. I don't usually order bone in from Wingstop, but I decided to try them recently. I'm glad I did. I tried the Hickory Smoked BBQ and the Garlic Parmesan, and both were delicious. Now, here's my only issue these wings are HUGE. Like on steroids huge. There is so much chicken on these wings that honestly it was too much for me. I was only able to take a bite or two before I was completely full. So if you like big, meaty wings, you're definitely going to love these. Whatever you do, GET THE RANCH! Their ranch is phenomenal. Nobody makes ranch quite like Wingstop. The only place that comes close for me is Dallas BBQ but honestly, I still prefer Wingstop's ranch. Their honey mustard is a close second too. I love getting that when I want to switch things up. If I order a large ranch, just give me a large container of ranch! I've seen so many YouTube videos where people get a large Styrofoam cup filled with ranch. That makes way more sense to me rather than giving me five or six tiny little cups. Now I have a whole collection of mini ranch containers taking up space. If I ordered a large just put it in one big cup. The fries aren't bad either especially if you get the Voodoo Fries. The only thing is I don't like Cajun seasoning, so I always ask them to leave the Cajun off. Their corn is pretty good too, but again, I don't do Cajun. I tried getting the Garlic Parmesan seasoning on the corn once, and personally... absolutely not. It did NOT taste good to me. Wingstop definitely gets my vote for the wings, ranch and honey mustard. Just be prepared for some seriously oversized wings and make sure you get enough ranch.

So sad they don't sell bbq short ribs anymore…read more 5/5 juicy Lucy $13- 1 of my fave burgers, juicy & flavorful, 1/2 was filling 4/5 6pc garlic tenders $7- not a fan of boneless but this was really good, the exterior was thick, crunchy, garlicky. 4/5 pina colada lassi $4.50- just wish it was less sweet but really good otherwise 2/5 mango strawberry lassi $5.50- too sweet, tastes too artificial, needs more yogurt & more mango I'd def go back to try other burgers, quesadillas, pasta & bony wings.

My friend and I ordered the Juicy Lucy which is a burger that's both topped and filled with melty cheese. We also ordered a 6 piece order of garlic boneless wings. Both of these were incredible and I would definitely get them again. The burger was juicy and cooked perfectly. It was the most perfect messy and cheesy burger. I really enjoyed the boneless wings which were actually just tenders. Despite how coated it was, it maintained the crisp and crunch. It had a very flavorful garlic and cheese sauce. For drinks, we ordered two different lassis: piña colada and the mango coconut. I enjoyed them but feel as if it was missing the thickness and richness that a lassi would normally have. I think they definitely could use a disposal space or just as garbage can as we had nowhere to throw out our garbage afterwards.

Absolutely disgusted with my experience at Dallas BBQ in Jamaica, Queens. The service was horrible…read morefrom start to finish. Our server, Patricio, came once to take the order and basically disappeared for the rest of the night. Drinks were dropped off, then a food runner brought the food, but nobody ever checked on the table again. We had to sit there with no extra napkins, no share plates, and no table touch whatsoever. To make matters even worse, there were ROACHES. Not one... but multiple. We personally saw two roaches near our table, and the table next to us literally asked to be moved because they were also dealing with roaches on their side. That is beyond unacceptable and honestly a health concern. Meanwhile, there were dirty tables sitting around, servers standing around chatting, and the entire restaurant felt filthy and poorly managed. Even the bathroom smelled terrible. What really irritated me was that after providing almost no service, Patricio still circled and hinted toward a tip on the receipt. Tipping is supposed to reflect good service, not guilt or pressure after neglecting your table the entire night. I told my partner not to leave a tip because honestly the service did not deserve one, but he felt bad and still tipped anyway. I usually LOVE Dallas BBQ, especially the Upper East Side location, but this Jamaica location is an absolute disaster. Clean the place up. Nobody should be paying to eat in a dirty, roach-filled restaurant with inattentive staff. I will never come back to this hole in the wall again. I also have videos/photos of the bugs and receipt from the visit.
