Mashed potatoes

Disappointed they didn't have fries when I ordered. Went with the mashed potatoes and gravy and the portion size was ridiculously small. Tasted like it was cooked with something else as well. Pics shows the portions.

Butterfly shrimp tackle box

Came for dinner. Used the app, which was straight forward. Picked up on site. Parking and drive thru. No dine-in yet due to covid. Butterfly shrimp tackle box was good. Shrimp was crunchy and great with sauce. I used wild honey mustard sauce since they seem to charge extra for the other sauces. This box comes with fries, and biscuit. Fries were a little soggy and biscuit here is far from the best I have had. Just seems a bit stale. Next, we got the cajun flounder sandwich. This was alright. It does not look as impressive as advertised in the pictures. Fish was well cooked. There was pickles but in my opinion, it needed more flavor. Overall, Popeyes is good for what it is. That is a fast food restaurant that specializes in fried chicken and a couple fried seafood menu items. Not the most fancy but good for once in a while. Hope that helps.

Kayem originated in Mass btw. I always appreciate loyalty to in state makers. The classic George's dog is mustard, meat sauce and chopped onions. Standard white bun. I've seen mixed messages online about how you're supposed to order that dog. I've seen "All the Way." (Which is also how they say it in Providence). I've seen "Three Up", which is a new one for me. But the Menu actually says that a Coney is mustard, meat sauce and onions. So I ordered two coneys and everything worked out fine. The hot dogs were good, both in terms of the components, and in the sum of their parts. My dogs were not particularly snappy. I could see a grill mark. So perhaps it just needed a bit more turning so that it was more well done. Kayem is a good hot dog in terms of flavor. I prefer some other New England brands though. The meat sauce is good, but the seasoning didn't pop for me in the way that my favorite meat sauces do. I'm sure part of this is what you grew up with though. George's is a cool, old school, hot dog joint, that I imagine still does it like it always has. If that's how you like your hot dog spots, I suspect you'll love George's. 4.25 Stars

I walked in hungry and left with a PhD in poor decisions. The smell when you enter is that distinct "we've been frying the same oil for three different managers" aroma. The floor was sticky, the tables looked like they'd been auditioning for a crime scene, and the staff moved with the enthusiasm of people who'd all agreed to a group nap. Food? A masterclass in disappointment. The chicken arrives looking like it lost a fight with a toaster and won a participation trophy. Texture: an identity crisis. Flavor: a sad whisper of salt and whatever time spent under a heat lamp tastes like. The Taco Bell items were limp and unimaginative tortilla with filler, lettuce that had given up on life, and meat that tasted like it'd been outsourced to the void. Drinks were a flat suggestion of carbonation. The soda machine's "choices" were basically variations on disappointment. Asking for extra napkins felt like proposing marriage dramatic, unnecessary, and met with suspicion. And the bathroom.... oh boy. Calling it "functional" is generous. It was a bleak reminder that somewhere, someone decided standards were optional. No soap, paper towels like confetti, and a mirror that reflected all my worst life choices back at me. This place doesn't just miss the mark it forgot there was a target. It's the kind of establishment that makes you revaluate your ability to judge restaurants. It's not merely bad service or bad food; it's an experience designed to humble you. If you value your palate, your dignity, or your time, steer very, very wide. Eat literally anything else even cold cereal from a gas station aisle would be an upgrade. This location isn't just a bad meal; it's a crash course in why patience is not always a virtue this place really has to shut down for good I wouldn't go back to this place if the last taco on Earth was being served here for free I'd rather chew gravel, wash it down with fryer grease, and still call it a better meal.
