I always order 2 diners, both being white meat only, being 2 wings and a breast, with sides, costing $35.45. Every time we order online to pick up, at store #7134, located at 11706 Tampa Gate Blvd. on Hwy. 579 in Seffner, Fl. they get the order incorrect. We do not eat the dark meat chicken and always order white meat only, being two wings and a breast. The white meat dinner cost more than dark meat dinners. This store, on three occasions have served thighs instead of breast. We drive 10 miles home before we discover their mistake, and it is not worth the drive back to see the management who advised on the phone that they will "give a free drink next visit. It is not acceptable that either the employees do not know the difference between a breast and thigh or just substitute dark meat when breast are not available. I will not use this store again as this practice has been taking place over a 6-month period with every order we make. Also, the chicken pieces are really small in size for the amount being charged. This location deserves more than just 2 stars I've only been here about 3-4 times but at least every time I've been here I've never had any issues with customer service, food quality, and they actually stay open to when they're supposed too. I ordered the classic chicken sandwich combo which came with Cajun fries and a drink. The sandwich was hot, crunchy and juicy. Fries were on point as well as for every bite I took there was that satisfying crunch sound each time. This is definitely the best Popeyes location around the Brandon area. read more

I finally got to try the famous chicken sandwich here and it was everything it was hyped up to be. The restaurant is locaated inside of a TA - Tampa Travel Center. There was also a Arby's next to it. There were seating areas inside and also outside. The place was bright and clean. I saw a guy walking around wiping down the tables as people were leaving. You don't see that too often. The Popeye's staff were friendly and got the order out pretty quick. The chicken sandwich was exceptionally tasty. The chicken breast was so moist and tender and had a delicious crunchy coating. The bun was also fresh and was slathered in mayo and a few pickle slices. The fries had a nice flavor too. Drinks were self serve at the drinking fountain. There was even a sweet tea station. I would definitely recommend this sandwich if you haven't tried it yet. I don't know why I waited so long. read more

There is always good deals and daily specials going on that makes this place more attractive. If your not into fried chicken with bone in then try the chicken tenders. They're every bit as good and can be ordered mild or spicy. The Cajun mashed potatoes are crazy good and put a little of that Cajun Sparkle on and your good to go. If you like biscuits then you'll enjoy these that are super flaky, light and buttery. They also sell 1 gallon tea jugs in unsweetened or sweet, another bonus! All there food so salty even the biscuits had salt in and on top of then was like they but a box of salt on there chicken,mash potatoes,beans and rice,everything rate o sorry food. I normally don't review restaurants but this one people need to know about. We ate there 3/12/2021 around 8:30 pm and ordered a 5 piece chic finger meal. My husband only had one finger and nothing else because he chose to go to Arby's. On the other hand I had the meal and we both started vomiting at 3:30 am at the same time. Had to be the chic. So So Sad. Growing up in South Florida Popeyes used to be everywhere. Location are not easily accesible anymore so when I came to Tampa on business I was excited when I saw it across the street from my hotel. First off, when you pull up you will notice its in a travelers stop, something like a truck stop so it isn't exclusively a Popeyes. I was like ok- no biggie. A chain is a chain what can go wrong.... ok. My tenders were like room temperature and not crunchy AT ALL. Tasted like day old fried chicken. There was something off about the coleslaw texture. The fries and biscuit were good as they had just come out. The jar of pickled jalapeños on the counter look like a science experiment gone wrong... kinda gross and unappetizing to look at. The girls behind the counter look like they rolled out of bed and came to work... Literally in Crocs. The Arbys next to it is on point and the staff is dressed appropriately in its corporate uniform so you cant really blame the Truck Stop atmosphere. My kids always ask me about Popeyes as they've never eaten here. I WAS excited to tell them I ate it in Tampa. While we understand that during our health crisis certain services and availability is limited, the customer service we received was absolutely unacceptable. We were loyal patrons of Popeye's establishments, and have two establishments in close proximity to our residence to choose from. We have purchased food from this particular franchise on several occasions since their opening, with the same order each visit, without incident. My wife chose to purchase from the Seffner, Florida Popeye's for our evening meal, through the drive through, which has now become standard operations during our health crisis. Like she has on all previous visits, she ordered our usual 10 piece, all dark meat mild chicken, with two side orders and biscuits. After placing her order at the intercom menu board, she was instructed to pull forward when space permitted. Forty Five (45) minutes later, my wife arrived at the window to pay for her order. She was told that she could not receive the "all dark meat" order she had placed. When she informed the Cashier that she only wanted dark meat, the Cashier relied on the store Manager to inform her that an "all dark meat" order was not possible. When my wife informed the Manager that she has ordered the same in the past without problem, she was informed from the Manager that "Corporate no longer allowed all dark meat orders and she would have to accept a mixed 10 piece order or nothing", which we do not believe to be a factual directive from your corporate office. Because my wife knew it was already getting late for our evening meal, she paid for the order she did not place, but complained to me upon arrival at our residence. I can assure you that although your problem with this branch is significant, it can be repaired by expedient action of direct counseling to Management and Staff, clear protocols to inform customers of changes in available products, and customer service training for all employees of this branch. That being said, we are thoroughly disappointed that the Branch Manager did nothing to accommodate my wife's order, and without a plausible explanation. This review has been previously sent to the Popeye's Corporate Office, with a follow-up email due to our receiving ZERO response from them. Note to Consumers; If you use this Popeye's Branch, good luck to you as you are ON YOUR OWN! It is apparent that the Popeye's franchise does not concern themselves with your bad service, inappropriate actions of Management and Staff, or care enough to follow-up on a complaint.
