Title: First Time at Popeyes - Disappointed with food quality I'm not a picky person at all, but this was my first time trying Popeyes and the food just wasn't good. My tenders, fries, and biscuit were all cold, and the biscuit wasn't fluffy like it's supposed to be. The only thing that was decent was the Classic Chicken Sandwich. I expected hot, fresh food, especially for a dine‑in order, but most of what I got tasted like it had been sitting out. Overall, not a great first impression. read more

25 minutes for six tenders and only one people ahead of me. The one person if front of me was waiting 30 minutes. If it's fast food and not a huge variety of things it shouldn't take this long. read more

Restaurant was fairly clean and person taking orders was helpful. However, there were only two other customers in the restaurant and as soon as our orders were taken the person taking orders disappeared into the kitchen. Kitchen staff were talking very loud and they could easily be heard in the seating area. The male fry cook was teasing one of the other workers that her chicken wing orders were done and he wanted one of the female workers to pay him first $5 for the order and then raised to $20. The female worker yelled back to the fry cook that his math was not correct. The fry cook yelled back at her saying girls can't do math. After ten more minutes passed and my and another patron's wing order was not yet out, I asked from the order area whether the wings were ready and someone finally brought my and the other patrons orders out and both of our wing meal were cold. read more

This review has no bearing on the service at this location. That part was actually very good. The food, and drinks, were so disappointing. The positives - the food was warm, the chicken was juicy. The negatives - the chicken was essentially flavorless. Ironically they have a spice rack display up in the middle of the store. It would seem that they keep all the seasonings that would lend flavor to the chicken on display instead of cooking with it. This was a last chance for Popeye's overall, as the last 2 times we'd been at 2 different locations were also very sub-standard. Another very well known Fried Chicken place is in a different universe, and they're the same price. Hopefully they'll improve, but I'll never know bc I'll never go to another Popeyes ever again. read more

I do not understand why this place has only 2 stars. I ordered the chicken boneless wings and they were amazing. The guy taking the order was so nice and he even told us a joke while he was ringing it up. And they had jazz music playing and I love it. It wasn't too busy which is great for an introvert like me. 5 stars, would definitely come again. read more

We've visited twice. The first time we had one of the best chicken sandwiches we've ever had. It was habanero chicken of some sort. Next visit the menu changed and we had a different spicy chicken and it was good but not as great as the first one. We had popcorn shrimp each time and it was very good. The restaurant staff seemed super stressed but were kind to us and the indoor temperature was so cold we chose to eat in our car. read more

I had not been to a Popeye's in over 4 years since moving here. Was in Post Falls so i decided to give it a shot. The chicken was spot on. The biscuit was hard and barely warm. The butter would not melt on it. I think the butter actually got harder because the air conditioning was full blast in the place. The beans and rice were luke warm. Definitely not at a safe food storage temp. read more

Just terrible! Salty food and we got food poisoning from the chicken.. it was probably left out for ages

Staff: Polite. Service: Speedy. The restaurant was clean, food came out hot and fast. I really, really wanted more spice in my spicy chicken, but this is Northern Idaho and I figure they make things as spicy as the locals will take it. Getting in right now sucks, but once they're done with the Highway 41 re-do it should get much better. I just wanted more spice. read more

Place is crap that's why there has been no traffic there foods cold ! Management couldn't care less didn't get half my order and they wanted to argue dipshits on parade read more

My wife and I stopped off at this Popeyes one afternoon, and before we did, I checked google to find out if it was open. That's when I saw the two star rating. I was thinking "what could be so bad about this restaurant that people had made it a punching bag" Fast food is supposed to be just that, fast. It needs to be inexpensive, consistent and tasty. What kind of expectations were not met to not at least give it a three star review? What is wrong with the public today? Well, let me say, we were absolutely thrilled with our experience at the Postfalls ID. Popeyes! There was plenty of parking, the restaurant was clean and inviting, the fine gentleman at the counter looked to be genuinely happy to be at work and worked through the ordering process in such a way that I was sure I had ordered exactly what I wanted! Our food came out hot and well prepared almost instantly! (Not exaggerating, wife went to use the spotless restroom and the food had already been out a few minutes before she was done.) Nice job! With all the rising prices, the only thing you can hope for is that the service makes up for it and this Popeyes delivered! Thanks! Until we get one in our neck of the woods, this is our Popeyes! read more

Ordered on the app at 1:30pm for pickup at 4:30pm. Arrived at 4:30pm, drove up to drive thru window, short line we were behind 2 cars. We were still behind 2 cars at 4:48pm, 1 car at 4:50pm. Finally got to the food window and no one to greet us. Got food at 4:53pm. Food lukewarm, we should have refused it. Very frustrating. Third time here, third time lousy service. Do yourself a favor and go to CDA. UPDATE: Got home, order is missing the 5 biscuits. What a joke. read more

We ordered our food and ordered a logo wings and pointed at the sign for the dippers Bogo but just said and the dippers. I can see how there could be a miscommunication there but it should have been a non issue being it is a Bogo. They told us we had to specifically order the Bogo. Now we did point at the bogo sign and that is what we intended to order. I was in the process of leaving a nasty review with corporate and leaving a falls advertisement complaint with BBB as well as calling corporate to complain. But while I was writing the the nasty review the Stephanie at store#12494 Reciept# 20005 came to the table with the dippers without us actually formally complaining to her. Way to turn a bad experience into a 5 star review. read more

Very short menu. Almost no choices. Barely any seating for eat in. Certainly a lot of better choices in the area. Won't be back.

The servers are friendly but this store has decided to stop offering the popcorn shrimp which was the only reason I went there. VERY DISAPPOINTED. According to the national page it is up to the store whether or when they offer popcorn shrimp. Did they decide to cut costs? Reading the other reviews I think this store is not going to be open much longer. read more

Food was good. I waited 30 minutes in drive thru line before getting to speaker. Nobody was at the speaker and I was getting no response. I pull ahead since the line was moving, and I heard the speaker working behind me. Fed up with the lack of service, I went in to explain myself. They apologized for the inconvenience and offered me a free pie. Then when I got my order 15 minutes later, they forgot to include the pie. It's just mistakes piled on top of mistakes, wasting time for most people involved. I will take this review down when they figure their workflow out, but as of now they're barely keeping it together and wasting many peoples' time and expectations in the process. read more

No toys for kids meals. Missing items from tiny menu. Did not give us the cheese and bacon on a sandwich. No silverware when ordering Mac and cheese for dine in. Food was bagged to go. Cold fries and Mac over cooked. Chicken was delicious. Only saving grace. Wish I could give a .05 star review. read more

I drove from Washington because this was the closest Popeyes location and I love Popeyes. I have been going my whole life. I got regular. I took one bite and it was the most bland and flavorless chicken I have ever had. Popeyes usually has the most seasoned and flavorful. I went to the counter to ask for some seasoning and told her how bland it was. She gave me some Cajun Sparkles and told me that their regular was very bland. This was news to me. I looked up on their website and it said that the regular chicken was supposed to be seasoned with their Louisiana seasoning blend. I feel ripped off. I made a big order so I would have left overs. I will not be coming back if this is the chicken they serve. Everything else was good. read more

We've never been to Popeyes before and the guy who took our order was extremely rude and rushing us we asked for time and he immediately got an attitude and when we finally decided to order he told us we had to wait and then told us we can "go somewhere else"... definitely not a good experience read more

Second time we had Popeyes chicken. They over cooked the chicken and the oil tasted rancid. Will never go back.

14.65 for 3 of the smallest pieces of chicken and a small fry. Not even a combo!!! Just 3 tiny pieces of chicken, each about the size of an adult index finger, and a small fry. 14.65.... unreal! Highway robbery! First time ever to a popeyes and is the last. What a total rip off and was still hungry after the smallest meal of all time for 14.65. read more

Service not bad, but inconsistent. Almost without fail some part of my order is not correct. Last night, we ordered 2- 2 piece dark combos. One with mac and cheese, one with mashed potatoes. When we got to the window, they told us they only had enough classic for one meal. No problem, I will have spicy. We get home and end up with one meal classic with mac and cheese. They gave us two breasts. The other one wad spicy and dark, but also with mac and cheese, not potatoes. And we paid over $30 for two wrong orders. I live about 20 minutes away, so I wasn't about to drive back to get it fixed. read more

Love the chicken but every time I get the coleslaw it is sour. Its hit and miss on the coleslaw but mostly miss. But the chicken is delicious! read more

We are on a road trip and decided to stop off at Popeyes on our way out of town. This was probably the BEST Popeyes we have ever been to. The food was really fresh. The people working the drive thru to take our order and put our food together we're very professional and kind. While we did not go inside we could see someone inside wiping down walls and it appeared to be a clean work space. 5 Stars to the entire crew working today! You fed our family and all were happy with their meals. read more

A good Popeyes is heaven. The second you walk in you are hit with the mouthwatering smell of spicy fried chicken hot biscuits and crispy Cajun fries. The workers are moving fast calling out orders throwing fresh chicken in the fryer pulling biscuits from the oven and scooping sides into steaming containers all while that Louisiana flavor fills the air. The floor might squeak a little from mopping the soda machine hums and there is a buzz of people families workers on break regulars who know exactly what they want. The chicken is unmatched. It is fried to perfection golden brown crunchy on the outside juicy on the inside seasoned deep with a blend of spices that does not just sit on the skin but soaks into every bite. Whether you get tenders bone in spicy or mild it tastes like someone actually cared when they made it. Then you have the sandwich. The Popeyes chicken sandwich is legendary for a reason with a big crispy filet a buttery toasted bun thick cut pickles and either mayo or spicy sauce that ties it all together. It is hot it is heavy and it is worth every second of the hype. The biscuits are soft golden flaky and dripping with butter. You barely touch them and they start to crumble in your hand. Then the sides come in clutch with Cajun fries seasoned just right red beans and rice that taste homemade mashed potatoes with that smooth gravy that somehow makes you forget it came from a fast food spot and even the mac and cheese is creamy cheesy and rich. A good Popeyes keeps everything fresh with nothing soggy nothing cold and everything served hot with just enough grease to feel right. The employees do not mess around either because they know what they are doing working fast loud and confident. You hear bags rustling trays sliding sauces being tossed in the bag and before you know it your order is ready and it is hot enough to burn your fingertips through the box. You take that first bite in the car and everything else disappears for a second. It is just flavor heat crunch and satisfaction. That is a good Popeyes. Nothing fancy just real food that smacks every single time. read more

Absolutely no flavor in their breading, it was a greasy crunch. I couldn't keep my tongue in my mouth. Coleslaw was bland and creamy. Not good at all. The only good things were the Cajun fries and the raspberry iced tea, and the worker was helpful. Never going back, it was nasty. No pride in food or landscape. The weeds were higher than the windows. Really expensive too. I was looking forward to trying it. Such a disappointment. If I could give no stars, I would. Normally, I do not write reviews, but I had to warn you all. read more

Staff deserve a 10. But it ends there. Food was okay. Prices are horrendous. $18.00 for a chicken sandwich combo, $17.00 for a 6 wing combo. Seriously ridiculous for the just okay food. Again the staff were spectacular. read more

Food was hot and fresh. I got the chicken strips. Very good. Restaurant was clean. very good service by Izak. Thank you for your service.

Orders get mixed or shorted. Happened twice so not going back. We will be checking drive-thru orders before we drive on.

New updated review. Tried the place again while in town in business. Placed order online thru app. App is sluggish and poor design. Drove to location, my potato and gravy missing the gawt damn gravy! Food cold. Prices UP and portions DOWN! Service friendly but it's the food now for me. It's absolutely shite. I'm now done with this place. Everything tasted what I think shite would taste like. No more $$ spent here, period read more

On a positive note, the location was clean. Front area: spotless. Tables: wiped. Floor: swept and clean. On a negative, 9th level of hell note... the food was hot garbage. It tasted like the fuel for the worst dumpster fire you've ever seen. It was 6pm and my food tasted like it had been sitting there for hours. The shirmp was hard and dry. The chicken was dry and tasted like sadness. I understand that businesses don't want to cook fresh food at the end of the day, but if old food is what's earning bad reviews, something has to change. read more

gave me 2 extra wing it was very tasteful annddd uhhh it arrived muy rapido , muchas gracias!

People say Popeyes is good normally I would agree but this just isn't right. I haven't wrote what I saw because I was gonna leave it alone but no I've decided. I went to Popeyes and saw a girl in her car smoking off a meth pipe then on top of that I saw a manger who came out and woke her up. Hate to say it but I had my nephews with me which are both 2 and 4. The smell was powerful nobody should ever have to deal with there kids or family members asking and saying aunty what's that smell. This should be taken care of because I've seen her when I went in again and she's still there so do better read more

I have found this place to be hit and miss. On one visit the chicken, all the sides I order, and the service are excellent. Unfortunately consistency is lacking. I have not been back for a good while so I hope if and when I return I do not experience disrespectful employees behind the counter. When they are present it is almost certain their poor work attitude extends beyond the food preparation. They can be the best when they recognize the importance of their positions. read more

Food was ok.. I use to love Popeyes chicken sandwich, just not the same anymore.. The worst part of this location is the carelessness and rudeness of the employees.
