On July 28th 2025 at 12pm. The Drv thru cashier was RUDE. Dismissive. And disrespectful. The job description is quite literally ask the customer what they would like and if they would like anything else. She on the hand closed my check before I was done. When I asked for the other part of my order she told me it'd be 4 mins and that they don't add at the window. Thankfully the manager who was on duty stepped in and said "we don't turn away customers money" then when I asked for sauce for my dippers which is the first time I order them so I didn't know you don't get a choice i guess. She rolled her eyes at me and said it doesn't come with ranch and THREW it into the bag with such attitude and didn't even say anything when Handing my food but just shove it to me. Super Nice Folks at Downtown Mobile Popeyes when I visited their store the girls were very helpful and extremely kind, I went it as the lobby was getting close and they let me eat inside anyway- there was a lot of stuff going on in the parking lot that was not customers it the only reason I didn't rate it a 5- I got hustled by 3 different people on the way in the door- I'm not positive but it may deter folks if you have to walk though all of that type stuff going on- I did buy a Ruger LCP for $25 on the way out, deal right there read more

If I could give the chicken sandwich 10 stars, I absolutely would. It's not very often that something lives up to the hype, but this delicious sandwich does just that and more. The chicken is so thick, crispy, and juicy and the bun is perfectly soft and buttery. It comes with pickles and a spicy mayo, which go excellently with this delicious sandwich. I live 0.8 mi away from this location, the next closest is 2.5 mi away. I frequent this location it was hair in my food twice about a month apart. I ordered through the mobile app and after 10 minutes of waiting in the drive through the manager said she could not find my order. I verified the address and she became very argumentative saying it was nothing she could do when I had order confirmation and online receipt. After she presented no resolution I just drove off and came back to the parking lot and called inside. It now being 15 min later she answered the phone with an attitude getting smart with me over the phone about their system errors. So I proceeded to wait a few more minutes to see if it would come through but I just decided to go back home. On my way home she called me back to tell me it just came through I waited in line again almost another 10 min just to have hair in my chicken. I was hesitant to eat it at first but I bit off off the sandwich to taste it and it was nasty. Horrible service. For fast food we waited a long time as numbers after us kept getting called (we were 71 and it got to 78 before we got our meal 20 minutes later. There had only been 2 people ahead of us but somehow the entire line behind us got served first. Other older people could not get anyone's attention for a long time just for a drink refill. Went to this Popeye's because it's near an auto parts place and I just got through putting brake pads on my truck. Yeah, I know, very manly and whatnot but it was my first project like that and I'm pretty darned proud of myself! So, yeah, Autozone is a great place to- wait! This is a review of a crappy chicken place not Autozone. Okay, back on track: Teresa, Adam, you guys nailed it. Why do we go to Popeye's? Darned good chicken and great sides, THAT'S why! And this isn't a review of the food. You know it's good. What THIS is about is the service. Haven't been to many Popeye's in my life but one constant is bad service. I think the managers at night compile a rudeness algorithm which generates a number that they compare with other Popeye's places in hopes of being the absolute rudest. "Hey, Mike, we got a 94% Customer Hate Rate today, you?" "Nah, Bill, we only managed an 87% score. We have a coupla new employees who are being too nice AND getting orders right, so we're doing too good to beat anyone today." My wife and I went through the drive thru last night and ordered a couple of meals one with Coke, one with Sweet tea. Lady repeats the order, asking if I wanted 2 Cokes. No, I say, one Coke, one sweet tea. "Pull around", she says. Food was hot, good, AND correct, but we got 2 Cokes. Yeah, she had to make sure she was getting SOMETHING wrong in the order, I guess. Oh, and BBQ sauce was included though I wanted Honey Mustard. I knew it was a crap shoot to be honest. Today, at 3:21pm (In case anyone from HQ is reading and wants to check on the people working there. I forgot names) my wife and I ordered a 3-piece chicken tenders meal with fries and 2 Cokes (Thought I'd trick em up and get the Sweet Tea I ordered last night. HAH! Nope, they got the drinks right!) Anyway I forget the combo number. 3? She says nearly unintelligibly, as is their policy maybe, some number that I believed to be 6.14 but was confirmed to be 6.40 upon arrival at the window. We get the food and drive a little in the parking lot when we smell fish. Yup, it's shrimp. My wife walks into the place and tells them we ordered chicken, not fish. Immediately an employee near the back says, "I TOLD you they wanted chicken." and we were informed that the chicken had to be cooked, there was a wait of 5-10 minutes. Here's the thing though. Would a worker now removing the shrimp from our box to make way for the new chicken surprise you? No, of course not. It happens and my wife, bewildered, asks them to stop that, we don't want old cold fries with our hot chicken! So they did. But with some serious stink-eye goin on. Didn't ask for sauce but we got one Honey Mustard and one Creamy Ranch. And to be honest, though the chicken combo meal was 79 cents more, they waived it for us. Just to keep us confused about their next move, I guess. Guess it'll be a while before I use my newly installed brake pads to bring my truck to a stop at their drive thru window. read more

I love Popeye's - its probably my favorite chain, fast food. BUT - PLEASE - clean the place and tell your employees to act like they appreciate having customers. I only go there when I get a craving that just can't be satisfied by anything other than Popeye's. (Its identical to Krystal - you don't WANT to go - your craving MAKES you go). The service was horrible here. We ordered 4 combos and they forgot the biscuits in 3 of them and forgot a side in one of them. The workers were talking very loudly the whole time and weren't worried about the customers at all. It felt like they poured grease on the floor and the bathrooms were nasty.
