After paying the tenner or so for my Margherita with peperoni and aubergine I was instantly appalled by the appearance of my pizza. First of all it was dusted in polenta, giving it that Dominoes / Papa Johns style texture, my aubergine was cut up in cubes and put on top RAW meaning I had uncooked aubergine (the worst uncooked veggie ever) and it was absolutely swimming in cheese. Why, oh why, oh why, oh why, oh why, does everyone have to over-cheese their pizza, AAArrrrggghhhh!!!! Its so annoying. Anyway, deep breaths, I can do this, stay calm now..........just get to the end of the review and have a wee lie down...... The fact of the matter is, less is actually more, you don't need half a block of cheese to make a pizza taste good. It just adds an extra 500cal to the meal and leaves me bloated as hell that's all. Good quality ingredients and good olive oil, that is what you need. Right, I think you get the picture and I've probably said enough. As well as various deep fried suppers you can also get freshly made pizzas here which I have found to be a bit of a higher standard than their suppers. My favourite thing about this chippy is the fact that they sell Ben 'n' Jerry's ice-cream tubs and in the summer I'll usually come in, grab a tub and then head to the park to polish it off. Delish!

From these visits I can say it's a nice, clean and well established Chinese restaurant and takeaway with an impressive set of loyal dinners. Of course, it has a large varied menu of chicken, beef, pork and - my favourite - prawn dishes. All of which are served up in generous portions for decent prices. Another advantage is the Spar shop just next door. Hence, if you're treating yourself to a takeaway you can easily pick up some juice, desert or even a wee cheeky bottle of wine. Yum.

Remember that now you have to pay 5p extra for your bag, which the staff seem incredibly awkward about.
