Damon and Kayla made me some of the best pizza I've had in this town in a while! So friendly it's refreshing! And the garlic twist breadsticks were to dieeee for Omg! Bomb ranch too for sauce lovers! We were amazing but how good Kayla is at tossing the pizzas! The owner Damon is among the friendliest and coolest owners I've met here! I first tried Pop Pop's when they were in Bakersfield, Ca. As of 2025, they have relocated to McFarland, Ca. We made the 30 minute drive today for lunch and it did not disappoint! I've told family and friends about this place and they all agree that it is very delicious! The owner and his staff are always super nice! Today, we arrived shortly after 12pm and were the only ones there. Pizzas and cheese bread took about 15 minutes to come out. Pop Pop's has been on my radar for a while and I finally got to go try it out. I called ahead because I know they sometimes run out of dough and they close up for the day. The owner was really nice when I called, he told me they had about 30 doughs left so I needed to come within a couple hours. I told him I would be there in a half hour and he told me "I'm gonna feed you good tonight" which got a laugh from me. When I ordered he asked if I had been there before and I told him it was my first visit, he gave me an order of garlic knots on the house because he likes people to try his product. I had a 4 topping pizza and it was delicious. Generous with the toppings, great sauce and well cooked pizza. My wife had a cheese pizza and really enjoyed it as well. The garlic knots were very tasty and well cooked and the ranch was great as well. It was a fantastic experience and very reasonably priced. OH my gosh! First, let me say I was fortunate enough to try Pop Pop's early on, back in April! Their dough and their sauce is what brings us back time and time again! The cheese and meats are top notch also, but you can tell the owner REALLY cares about his craft and his homemade dough and sauce. I also must speak to the author of the one and only poor review. Give this place a second look. With a one or two person, small business, stuff happens. As you can tell from all the other reviews, this place is the BOMB!! Went there two weeks ago in a Saturday. Thankfully it wasn't hot and we were able to enjoy sitting outside. The two staff remembers working in the truck were super sweet and friendly. My mom and I got the special they offered. Two pizzas and an order of cheese sticks for 30 bucks. The food came out perfect! While we ate a man who we assumed was the owner stopped to chat with us and ask about our food. 10/10 definitely recommend! Was not expecting the cheese sticks to be larger than our pizzas! After seeing other people's posts on social media, I had to try it out for myself. Let me tell you, it did not disappoint! First of all the owner/pizza creator was super friendly and helpful. The pizza dough was super fluffy and delicious. The garlicky breadsticks were BOMB ! The pizza truck is in a small food truck park off Rosedale Hwy (Fuegos Spot). They have plenty of patio covered seating, sun shades to block the setting sun and lighting to add to the ambiance. Been here a total of 3 times and every visit has been better than the one before. Everytime I've been here I've had the opportunity to mingle and talk with the owner and all I can say about this gentleman is a very stand up owner and fun and easy to talk to. The 1st time coming to his business my son and myself got to witness an altercation between himself and a thieving imposter DoorDash driver. Myself would have flip my lid having someone steal from my business even though the owner was upset he handled everything professionally and the best to his abilities surrounding the situation. We came here three times in the last month. The first two times were phenomenal, the service and pizza. I live down the road and placed an order for pick up. I saw the pizza on top of the oven waiting for me. The owner, I am assuming asked if I placed my order yet, I said yes and before I say to go he walked away and I waited over five minutes to be acknowledged again and they finally gave me the pizza. I was irritated, to say the least. I got the pizza home and immediately was disappointed. It was overcooked, a ton of bubbles, a completely different amount of pepperoni from the first two times I ordered it. The owner found out it was my first time there, and told me, "I'll make sure you have some leftovers" and threw in some garlic knots.
