Pop Culture CLE in Solon is the cutest little dessert shop. They're known for their fun ice cream pops, açaí bowls, and ice cream cookies, but this week I stopped in for a donut and French pressed coffee and it completely made my morning. The donut filling was amazing without being overly sweet, and the coffee was so smooth and comforting. Nicole, the owner, is usually there in the mornings and she's such a fun, welcoming person to start your day with. They open at 8am. read more

Had to stop since this was around the corner from an appointment I had, and I brought my sister. She wanted homemade ice cream in a cup so Nicole suggested the vanilla cream with chocolate sauce. It was delicious. I had a cup of the guava sorbetto. It was most refreshing flavor, and a very good choice, plus we tried the brownies. Wow. They were big and chewy so we shared. This shop has the best homemade and vegan ice cream. Here you will not get a $2 kid's cone. But what you get will be unforgettable, and you hopefully will come back. My husband is known to bring his colleagues here after dinner out. The zillion flavors are on the wall, and there are daily specials. Try this. Cute place with out door covered patio. Lots of pops of color. They have ice cream sandwiches and then variations of ice cream on a stick from what I could understand from the menu. There wasn't much direction provided. Got an ice cream sandwich and the one flavor soft serce they had, vanilla. This place is the cutest! What a gem! The Christmas decorations made the place so festive and inviting. The menu has expanded since I was last here. I ordered the Creme Brulee popsicle. It was delicious. I wanted the salted Caramel bread pudding to try, but they were sold out. Guess that just means I have to come back. I can't wait to return with my family. My dad read about this spot in the newspaper and it sounded interesting so we stopped in to try it while we were visiting my parents. We tried their Bananas Foster Cone and the Cookie Butter Liege Waffle and enjoyed both. I'd probably get a cup instead of a cone next time because it was hard to eat with the toppings. I'd also get custard with the cookie butter waffle since it's pretty dry on its own (we ended up combining the two things we got which helped). I was surprised to see this place open in Solon since it's trendier than the types of places you usually find in town. I hope they do well! read more

Pop Culture CLE is the latest dessert shop and dessert food truck to make it's mark in Solon, Ohio. They are offering delicious treats inspired by European street food. I recently came here with my in-laws. My wife and I shared the bananas foster cone and the cookie butter and whipped cream Liège waffle. I enjoyed them both very much but I would highly recommend adding vanilla custard to the cookie butter Liège waffle to add some moisture. Okay! What??? POP CULTURE is my new go to! Wowza! Check out my picture of the menu. They have so many delicious vegan popsicles that are to die for. I've had the coconut dipped in chocolate and rolled in coconut. (I loVe coconut) I also tried the orange creamsicle, the peaches and cream, cappuccino, mint chocolate chip, key lime pie and peanut butter and chocolate chips. Next I want to try the plum lemon and ginger. I'm taste testing everything, it's all so good! The owners name is Nicole and she couldn't be nicer. She gave a tour of the where the magic happens, ie; the kitchen. The place is absolutely adorably decorated with colorful wall art and colorful stools and tables. What a treat! Just back from an afternoon trip to this adorable space. Let's talk about the treats! So good. I tried one of their outstanding vegan ice cream bars. The flavor selection for these are amazing and they are all vegan. I was sorely tempted to try the Key Lime pie but went with the Cappuccino. It was rich and had the lightest touch of cinnamon. So good. My husband opted for the S'mores milkshake. Real toasted marshmallows! He says it's the best milkshake he's had in NE Ohio. In addition they have ice cream sandwiches, ice cream crepe desserts and ice cream and waffle desserts. I am looking forward to returning and trying one of the waffle creations. Such a clever tasty treat! The key lime popsicle was super refreshing. The coconut was creamy and the caramel apple had actual tasty bits of apple in it! All of this and I didn't even know (couldn't even tell) it is vegan so my dairy intolerant husband and friends can finally enjoy cold treats with me! Okay okay, I have some explaining to do. Is this place pricey? Hella yes. Is it kind of impractical? Ummm yes. Do I forking love it? Yes. I love the adorable little house and the outdoor deck and its own little parking lot! The decor is soooo beans cute and the best part is that it's open late--until like 9pm! We stopped by the Solon store today after a hike with our dog because we heard good things on some local pages. Definitely enjoyed! My husband got an orange creamcicle which he liked and called a "perfect snack." I was surprised to see other options besides ice pops so I tried their ice cream and that didn't disappoint either.
