During a procedure, the dentist inadvertently damaged my front bridge--an expensive restoration that had been carefully placed by my previous provider in Seattle. While I understand that accidents can happen, what deeply concerned me was the way the situation was handled. Rather than acknowledging the damage or offering an apology, the dentist allowed me to leave the office without telling me it was damaged; I had to discover it at home. When I later addressed the issue, I was offered a minimal "repair". Unfortunately, the "repair" left the bridge with a very noticeable permanent defect. Based on this experience, I am not confident recommending this office to others.

My entire family of four had our annual cleanings, and the staff was very friendly and helpful. So far, so good. Things took a turn when one of my daughters needed a filling. We were given an estimated cost based on in-network coverage, which seemed fair. The procedure went well, and I was told she needed an additional service during the visit. I wasn't informed that this would cost extra, but I would have agreed to it if I had known -- transparency is key. What frustrated me was receiving a secondary bill later on for an underpayment. I was surprised because this is supposed to be an in-network dentist. I assumed the costs were pre-negotiated with the insurance provider. Apparently not. While the dental care itself was good, we were left feeling misled and frustrated by the unexpected charges. We've decided to look for a new dentist who is more transparent and upfront about pricing -- especially when claiming to be in-network.

He offered me a 1:30 appt today and when I arrived, he and his assistant Lexi immediately assisted me in negating my pain. They then proceeded to work on the issue with my teeth and spent the next hour rectifying an issue I had with two rear teeth and accompanying inflammation. He is such a kind professional, the kind of man that you pull for to succeed. I cannot remember being in so much pain when I walked through their front door. The front desk was efficient. The Dental Assistant was comforting, professional and accommodating. Dr Allen was simply outstanding. From explaining the process, to testing the viability of my teeth to numbing my mouth to executing the procedure, his calming personality and unequivocal professionalism made what we all think is going to be an utterly miserable time, suprisingly pleasant and interesting. This year, leading up to my annual cleaning, the office called me multiple times throughout the week asking me to move my scheduled Saturday 12:30 PM appointment to an earlier time (around 10 AM). I clearly explained each time that I work long hours and that 12:30 PM was the earliest I could come. Despite this, they continued to pressure me to change my appointment. On the morning of my appointment, they called again and told me they needed me to come earlier because "the doctor did not want to wait two hours for my appointment." I was also told they "usually close early," which makes me question why they even offer later appointment times if they are unwilling to honor them. I was then told that I would need to reschedule, even though I was fully willing and able to attend my original appointment. I had already rearranged my schedule and stacked multiple medical appointments on my only day off that week specifically to accommodate this visit. Like many working adults, I have very limited flexibility during business hours, and I don't think it is unreasonable to expect a healthcare office to respect a time slot that they themselves scheduled. As someone who works in healthcare, I found this extremely unprofessional and not patient-centered at all. When I later decided to cancel because I no longer felt comfortable with the level of professionalism, the receptionist simply said, "Okay, I will cancel your appointment and inactivate your account. Goodbye." No apology, no attempt to address the issue, no basic courtesy. Patients should not be made to feel like their time is less valuable than a provider's convenience. The lack of respect, communication, and professionalism throughout this entire interaction was shocking. I will not be returning and would not recommend this office based on this experience.

I asked her to get a quote to just have 2 removed that were bothering her and we would get the other 2 removed later. She was quoted $1200 and told the Dr that comes in to do extractions went up on his rates. In 2 weeks his rates changed. I ended up having her come to Richardson to get her wisdom removed and it was $267 TOTAL! She was told she also had a cavity, decided to have her get a 2nd opinion on that as well. Come to find out she has no cavity! I would avoid this office!
