Steps were fumbled all along the way and when calling them back about this and going into the store, we were given the run around. Nobody could provide good customer service to rectify things they fumbled. I will drive 15 more minutes to go somewhere else then to ever come back to them. I called and spoke to Nathan and I just knew it was going to get fixed, although it has been out for months. Dillon came out and diagnosed the problem. He was very nice and full of good information. During this time, I bugged Nathan about the progress being made on the parts I needed to be ordered. Then Josh came out yesterday and worked tirelessly in very tight circumstances to diagnose the problem, promising he would be back the next day. Well, he came this morning and was just incredible. I'm not sure, but I think it was not what he was sent to do here, but after many tries with my outdated electric and other things,( including an old bandaid on the heating element), he diagnosed and FIXED my HOT TUB!!! I am a loyal customer and hope to shop for more things soon. Great Customer Service! Hard to find these days and wonderful to experience.

Stewart is super friendly. I opted for a Monday appointment at 1:30 and had to reschedule for a later time due to a conflict. Not a problem. I was told there would be a $80 fee for them to show up and do a diagnostic check to determine the problem. If it was minor, they would likely have parts on hand to fix it right away. If major, they would order parts and fix it later. Knowing nothing about this new hot tub that came with my house, I was concerned when it kept shutting itself off. I googled and googled for a DIY fix. Nada. Second concern, "I really hope this doesn't cost an arm and a leg to fix". So, my fingers were crossed... Stewart came out and determined it was a small maintenance issue that I was unaware of. My skimmer (something I didn't even know existed) was full of debris. This prohibited flow and signaled the spa to shut itself off. While I felt just plain silly, he fixed the issue and continued to spend time educating me on my spa functionality, maintenance, etc. Much appreciated. They had used my garden hose to fill the spa and Stewart mentioned that I really should disconnect it for the Winter. I said I agreed, but it was connected so tightly that I could not get it off. He responded, "We got it disconnected for you and will wind it up and put it in your garage for you." Also much appreciated. Honestly, this was one of the best service calls I have ever had in my new home. Stewart only charged me the $80 to come out for diagnostics and left me with a wealth of knowledge. If you are in need of aquatic services, PLEASE give Stewart a ring. You won't be disappointed! Professional, knowledgeable, great testimonials, Angie's List approved and very nice. My hot tub is almost warmed up for use again! Can't wait.

I specifically emailed Pate's on September 13, 2024, before the pool closing, requesting that they ensure the hot tub was set up properly for the winter. I even flagged concerns about previous issues and mentioned that it was part of the process the team had consistently performed in the past. Despite this, the spa was not winterized, which led to a cracked filter cartridge when freezing temperatures hit. When I reached out in December about the damage, I was met with dismissive responses. They claimed the spa setup was not part of the contracted service and suggested that the issue must have been caused by factors unrelated to the pool closing. This was despite my email explicitly requesting the service, and their prior assurance that notes on my account should guide the process. The lack of accountability and dismissive tone made an already frustrating situation worse. What's most disappointing is that this level of customer care has become the norm since Lori's departure. I hope they can address these gaps, but until then, I cannot recommend them as confidently as I once did. A few observations which back up my original review: 1. Zero accountability. They don't respond to a simple email that was sent in advance of the closing to communicate with me any of the details that David is now communicating. If they were communicated before, problem solved. They just didn't respond instead. This is 2024. If you run a business and don't know how to respond to basic emails, then you probably should look at your own operations and take a little ownership of the problem. 2. People are busy. That's why we outsource these key elements of our home. We use our spa sparingly, thus the long lapse in time that went by (12 weeks). If David the owner wouldn't have been so dismissive and said at least "hey, we can do better...you can do better", I never would have felt the need to fill out this review. As I told him on the call, we both could have communicated better in this situation. However, I'm the customer, not the business owner. I shouldn't be the one to recognize that.

When first calling Pates I was told they were filling up quickly, but that they would try their hardest to get me in. I received a call less than 2 days later to schedule my weekly cleanings. I knew nothing about pools, chemicals, anything, which is needed to know what chemicals to bring, and how to clean it. The customer service rep took the time to help me get the details, and had me scheduled. I have been using them for three months and my pool is spotless even being covered by trees! They have flowers as well with many hanging baskets. They have been open since 1982 and we go there every year. They are open year-round and have poinsettia plants at Christmas time. We have had good luck with growing plants from there. Their tomatoes are always well established and have strong stems. If you are putting anything in your yard come out and take a look. The prices are not much different than Home Depot but I think you get a better product. We will continue to support this business as long as they are around.
