Everyone was very friendly, professional, knowledgeable from the office staff (Morgan and Shelby who I spoke with) to the crew working on the pool install. All were patient with all the questions that I had (excellent communication all around). Each step of the install was triple checked for accuracy (very impressive for me!) At the end of the install, I was given an onsite in service on how to maintain the pool and how to use all the bells and whistles. This place is horrible. Been waiting almost 3 months for service on our hot tub. I called and was told May is their busy season for pools. So I guess if you have a hot tub you don't matter. Steps were fumbled all along the way and when calling them back about this and going into the store, we were given the run around. Nobody could provide good customer service to rectify things they fumbled. I will drive 15 more minutes to go somewhere else then to ever come back to them. An absolute total RIP-OFF!! Charged $500 for basically two hours of vacuuming- this was AFTER they were a 'no show' the first time they were supposed to be here. Tech did not have the right test kits for some of the stuff needing done. I had a 'home built' repair on some of the plumbing and he refused to listen to me on how it went back together after he took it apart. The system now leaks like an absolute sieve and I will have to redo it again. Spent a lot of time trying to sell me one of their systems. I will NEVER have these people on my property again! New to the pool world, we thought we had found a partner to assist us. The initial experience was good. Hired them for Pool School and while fairly expensive, they explained everything about our pool and gave us good advice. Fast forward a few months, Getting quotes from them is almost impossible and when you do they are just a high price, no explanation or details on what is included. They don't return calls and rude when they do. Hired them to close our pool and the quoted price was 1/2 of what the final bill was...due to (oh...chemicals aren't included in the price!?). You really telling me our pool took over $150 in antifreeze? Will NOT recommend or EVER use again. You just lost our immediate business and money for a safety cover and heater.... read more

Dave's has been our pool service for several years. We have had thousands of dollars in charges. They never explain these charges, they just appear on your bank statement and you are sent a receipt. Most recently I had questioned why our pool cover moves slowly and jerks. NOTE: They installed this pool cover. I was told that it was because the cement around my pool was cracked and the tracks could not move evenly. The end, nothing could be done. One month later I get a bill for $225.66. According to the bill something for $200 was done and single bearing pully was added for $23.98. I did not authorize anything. I was told nothing could be done but apparently they decided to do further work even when they told me nothing could be done. This is just one example of their style of work. This month we have now paid over $500 for pool services. Every visit has some extra cost. This is not an honest company. They do not call you to tell you what they are doing and the charges. They do not get your approval for some of their work, as mentioned above, they just simply do what they feel like and charge you. In this last phone call 8/15/18 I was told it is $100 for someone to come and look at your pool if you have a problem. I spoke with the original worker for less than 15 minutes. I reiterate he told me nothing could be done and I left it at that. Beware of this company, charges mount up quickly and you have no idea what has been done or what will be done without your consent. read more

Receptionist is awful and very argumentative, they charge ridiculous prices for things that make no sense and they will tell you they'll be out in a week and never show. They installed our first liner that only lasted 4 years and they would not come out and help or look at any issues. The receptionist just kept telling us to add water, that will fix it. Finally found Advanced Pool Care and the difference in customer service is not even comparable. If you are considering using Dave's Pools, RUN! You'll be very disappointed. read more

My husband and I are disabled veterans. The house we bought last year has an above ground pool, and we were in need of somebody to "open " it for the season, and clean it and put in chemicals, because we just aren't really able to. We were told the service we requested would cost about 500, depending on the chemicals they used. So, they came out the day we scheduled it for, but, didn't call, didn't give us an arrival time, or anything. I just noticed somebody on my pool deck and went out to greet them. They did put our skimmer back in, and turned on the filter. They also did some cleaning and put some chemicals in. But, since the water got cloudy, they stopped cleaning it and left. The whole thing took 45 minutes at the most. They told my husband if it was still cloudy the next day, call them, and they would come back out the next day and do more work. So, the next day, it still looks bad. My husband called them back, and was told by a lady on the phone, that if They came back out, it would be a "service call", and they charge 180 an hour, and it would take 3 hours. We were under the impression that what we already paid would cover that, since we did tell them we needed cleaning and opening. We assumed they would clean it until it was satisfactory. The woman on the phone said, oh no, you just paid for the pool to be "opened", and that doesn't include cleaning. My husband said, well, they didn't tell me that yesterday, and the lady said back, "Oh, no , they wouldn't". Well, the reason I gave 1 star is that I felt we were ripped off because they kept saying we are "novice" pool owners. Why would that be important to notate? Also, we could not find any price lists for any of their services on their website, so, now I know they ripped us off. It is probably the reason they don't list prices. So, I am writing this review so others will know NOT to trust them. They don't have up front pricing, and they don't disclose their fees unless asked, and then, I just don't trust businesses that operate that way, and I will NEVER use them again. It just makes me sick that a business can be so underhanded. Also, I don't like that they have my debit card "on file", so they can charge me whenever they want. I will be changing my card now. Just don't want others ripped off. Call ANYBODY else first for your pool needs. SO Disappointed. read more

I have literally called this place for 2 years trying to get a fountain installed & all I got was the runaround, empty promises & far too many excuses. They were certainly happy to do the job when they knew I needed to get rid of my slide, so they came & ripped it out IMMEDIATELY & promised someone would be out in a few weeks for the fountain. Nope, I was without a slide all summer. In addition, the girls running the office are not only rude but they take messages on "post-it's" to leave for the owner who is NEVER there, NEVER returns calls & is always on vacation. Or they would tell me they'd "check on it" & call me back but I'd never hear from them & have to call in again. finally, Jan 2022 they sent someone out! I was so excited! It took 2 weeks for him to give me a verbal quote of $4000. Um, what?! when I asked for the itemized estimate to be sent to my email I got nothing. 3 weeks after that, someone called, which surprised me, to say the part is on "back order". Well it's been almost 3 months & I've heard nothing. But good news is, I have my fountain! Another company came out, ordered the SAME part & 10 days later was here with all materials & this saga is finally over- and for just $1800! I will never, ever, ever use this company again. Looks like I am also not the only person giving them a 1 star review! Dave is long gone & is probably rolling over in his grave knowing his legacy is now a circus run by monkeys. read more

Overcharged and hung up on by the desk person when questioning how they could charge me for a cleaning when the college-aged pool cleaner who came out did NOT clean anything, admittedly. He said he wasn't able to clean because my pump was not powerful enough. Ok, well that wasn't the case. But if it had been, how and why were they able to charge for a 65.00 cleaning? I was home that day and he was in and out in under 15 mins. and the pool was NOT cleaned. No response. none. Except to be hung up on. I have repeatedly asked to speak to the owner who hasn't returned my calls. I was disputing the charges and told them NOT to run my credit card- she did anyway! Then lied and told me she had emailed me saying she was going to if she didn't hear back from me. I said "ok, forward me THAT email with timestamp on it." Never saw it. why? Because there wasn't one! They ended up charging us over 775.00 to open up the pool- what the heck. We now use Diversified Pool Pros and they are excellent! read more
