I would strongly advise against using Trojan Roofing. The…read moreseller of my home chose them to replace the roof before I moved in, so I didn't have a say in the company. Unfortunately, that decision has caused me nothing but problems. Last year, I experienced roof leaks that led to damage inside my home. What followed was one of the most frustrating customer service experiences I've ever had. It took multiple emails to Tyler Morgan and numerous phone calls with different employees just to get someone to come out. The first person they sent told me there was nothing wrong with my roof and that they don't cover interior damage. After reviewing my roofing warranty, I found that statement to be completely false. After reaching out again, they finally sent a second contractor. He was great, seemed knowledgeable, and "fixed" both the roof and the interior damage. I felt relieved at the time--but that didn't last. Now, I'm dealing with water damage again in the exact same spot, plus a new area nearby. I first reached out to Tyler on March 16 and have since sent four additional emails with zero response. I also called on March 19 and spoke with a receptionist who assured me someone would come out the next day to take photos. No one showed up, and no one followed up. Since then, I've called over 20 times and have gotten absolutely nowhere. At this point, the lack of communication is unacceptable. The customer service is the worst I've experienced. It genuinely feels like they are avoiding me to get out of honoring their warranty and paying for the damage. My warranty expires in September. I will be getting this resolved one way or another, and if I don't hear back by next week, I will be pursuing legal action. Save yourself the headache and go with a company that actually stands behind their work.

Fortunately, Homestead offered both- they were very communicative through the estimate process, securing materials and throughout the construction. All of their staff was very friendly and made us feel comfortable having them at our house. We used request a quote through Yelp to kick off the experience and felt good about their positive reviews. We hired our plumber and wondered into a story-telling session with the lady setting my appt on the phone. I told her about all the contractors we'd had come and go and not have a single call back. She recommended I call Chuck at Homestead Construction. She said she wasn't sure what his schedule currently held, nor if he'd be able to take on the job, but at least I could try. I'm so glad I did! Homestead Construction has been a dream come true to work with. From beginning to end Chuck and his team had everything under control and exactly as we asked. We only had a couple of problems, but Chuck was quick to the draw to have them fixed or figured out. I wouldn't change anything about our experience. The timeline was a bit drawn out, but that was due to workers shortages. The estimate was exactly as stated and right in line with what websites for home/basement renovations stated they should be.
