I highly recommend Jose and Steadfast Pool Service…read more My pool electrical system was failing and I had air leaking into my pipes. After paying an electrician to come out twice, I realized that they were just guessing as to what the problem was. Then I called Jose at Steadfast. He called me back quickly, showed up soon and diagnosed the problem right away. He gave me two options--a cheap fix which might work for a while or a full replacement of the panel which was more expensive but would definitely take care of things. I went with the new panel, but I appreciated that Jose gives you options with different budgets. Jose had suggestions for upgrading the pump and the pool lighting to state-of-the-art equipment too. Steadfast is my new go-to pool repair company should anything else go wrong.

Fast forward to Graham taking over a couple years ago. Pool service went down hill. Had a pool guy named William who at least kept the pool clean. He left and I had multiple turnovers of people. Seems every couple weeks a new guy. Pool does not seem clean. Weeks go by and tiles are not even brushed. I'm home and watch the pool guy. Always had my pool cleaned every Thursday for YEARS. Now, Graham says it can't be done and they have to come on Mondays. He is rude and somewhat aggressive on the phone, if he even bothers to call you back. After a week he might respond. Anyways, the last day I had service the pool guy told me that the more expensive jobs in Toluca Lake were being done on Thursday. Guess the BIG pools in Toluca Lake paid more than my measly $125 a month. Maybe he wanted me to quit, thus he moved me to Monday. ZERO loyalty to long long term customers. I sent Graham a message terminating service and he didn't even bother to respond. I have his emails where he would repond a week later if at all. I'm sure he might bash my review and deny any of this with his rhetoric. I could care less. This is exactly how I saw it and what transpired. Pool companies are a dime a dozen. At first, Graham talks a good game. Read the negative reviews for this company. I'm extremely happy with the new pool service I found. A few friends referred me. Got my Thursdays back for 10 bucks more. Win win. OH, and when the new service came, the first day, he opened up my filters and they were filthy, black and was broken in spots, and had multiple patch work done. I saw them and took pictures of them. This old company was supposed to clean and maintain my filters, which I paid extra for. Guess that wasn't done properly. No wonder pool looked so crappy and green the last few months. I had to purchase 4 new filter panels. Pool is beautiful now. Same guy comes and is great. Beware and stay clear of this company.

We have a saltwater pool and we've learned the hard way that not all pool services will do the work to keep the pool clean and functioning properly. Rene has guided us through the process of restoring our pool and equipment. He's very reliable; he comes when he says he'll come. Yesterday, we had our pool tile bead blasted (by another pool service company). We also drained half the pool so that we could refill it with fresh water and reduce the water hardness. Rene is coming over today to put the pool back in service - vacuum, condition, add salt, rebalance, etc. It's nice to have a pool service that has our back and is willing to work with us to keep our pool in tip-top shape.

We had a very disappointing experience with Brothers Pool Service before service even began…read more At the initial meeting, everything sounded great. George was very friendly and thorough, and we agreed to a flat monthly rate of $260 that included all chemicals, salt, and maintenance. However, things quickly changed after the agreement was in place. Right before the first scheduled service, he asked me to go out and purchase 12 bags of salt myself, which made no sense given that supplying materials was part of what we agreed he would handle. When I pushed back, he instead sent a $300 invoice for the salt with no details--no brand, no weight per bag, nothing to verify what was being purchased. When I asked for basic transparency, he became defensive and repeatedly interrupted me. He also tried to justify not providing any details by saying he's a "licensed contractor" and doesn't need to share that information, which frankly made no sense. Being a contractor doesn't eliminate the need for clear communication and itemization, especially when you're asking a customer to pay for materials. We ultimately decided to part ways before service even started. If this is how issues are handled upfront, it didn't give us confidence in how things would be handled long-term. I would recommend getting very clear, detailed expectations in writing before moving forward.
