All I can tell you about this company is Ivan and his team came to our rescue and worked miracles! I was housesitting and the normal pool man had a family emergency and been gone for two weeks, the pool was a complete disaster, it looked like a big slime monster. I spoke with Ivan and he gave me a very reasonable estimate came over and in the matter of four days turned the pool back into a beautiful wonderful crystal blue pool. His communication was amazing, he kept me informed every step of the way. He did exactly what he said he was going to do no gimmicks, no scams just an absolute knowledgeable pool man. I would recommend this company to everybody. Professional, punctual, hard-working pool people! Definitely a five star review if I could give him 10 stars, I would! Thank you IVAN! read more

Hired this outfit to find out why my jacuzzi Heater is not heating up past 94°. He goes by aqua definitely watch out if hiring this guy. I hired him and he immediately up charged me with the filter. I shut my mouth paid him, but unfortunately, he would not wait obviously to make sure the jacuzzi heated to maximum heat. He left so did I month later I come to use the Jacuzzi and it's giving me the same old issue that I just nearly paid close to $400 for. Despite the fact I reached out to him letting him know I'd like to pay him again to come and take a look. It's been months since and he's been playing the tomorrow game with me. I don't recommend anybody to use this outfit. There's tons of legible companies out there.. either way his loss. read more

House heater was broken. We called him to "repair" it. Time after time he would come and say it was fixed. Every single time it was a new problem. We always payed him on time for his efforts. Finally after almost a 8 months of constant delay and no solution, we made sure he found the problem. He told us it was NOT the thermostat and it was the thermistor. He said parts and labor included would be a total of $345 !!! Labor being $185 !! We called several local pool companies and they we quoting us at $100-$135 TOTAL the most!! Extremely disappointed. Once trust is lost, theres no going back. read more

Aqua Vida Fixed my Green Water I tried to do my own pool service and was inconsistent with providing the correct chemicals needed to maintain a clear, blue color water. My pool water turned quite green, with algae and it was truly a mess. I called a number of services that told me it would take at least a week to correct the water problem. Ivan, the owner or Aqua Vida returned my call and offered to come out to have a look. He fixed it within one day. It was blue and sparkling the next day and I was so grateful. I gladly gave them the weekly service account and have been pleased with the care and availability of whatever service I needed. If you want it done right though, you have to have Ivan look at and fix the problem. He sends out crews to do the service and I've found them to be less than what Ivan can do. He really listens and will do everything to help. read more

I never write reviews but opened an account to warn any innocent people so they do not fall pray to this company. Ivan is hands down the most dishonest pool man I have ever hired. I truly regret my decision to hire him and allow him on my property. I am going to be honest I do not know very much about pools so that's why I hire people to take care of my pool. I have an older pool with updated equipment and everything worked perfectly before hiring him. He claims to be a Pool Tech with 30 years of experience and I trusted that he would take good care of my pool. Sadly he ruined my pool and charged me to fix it. He prayed on my lack of pool knowledge and decided to steal a small fortune from me. He also quoted me a lower price, changed the price he verbally quoted then demanded more money than he originally quoted. During his time of weekly pool service he was inserting the chlorine tablets in my vacuum line and my pump. Chlorine tabs are never to be placed in the baskets and Ivan without a doubt knows this yet has no regard for his clients pools and just does as he wishes - this has been an expensive lesson for me to learn. Placing tablets in the baskets will damage copper piping because the chlorine turns into acid when it sits in the basket and eats away the metal. Just prior to his "leak in my copper pipping" discovery I noticed my pool vacuum was not moving properly. I was not sure if the pump was just on a slow setting or something. He informed me that it was not the vacuum and that I had a copper line issue, I was scared to leave my pool broken so I decided to have him do the job he was proposing to me. At the end of the job he neglected to place a vacuum line cover nor did he clean out the new skimmer basket and new vacuum pipe line that got full of debris from the construction. Water got into the opening and mixed with the color cement powder that got stuck in the line and leaked down the plastered wall of my pool. When I addressed the issue with him he claimed it was not like that when he came to check on my pool - but it was there when he came because I noticed it before. I started to notice some really shady things about him so I decide to hang back and observe his behavior and wait to see if he would acknowledge the stain - of course he never did. His lack of acknowledgement gave me even more proof that I could not trust him, and once he denied it I know without a doubt that he was a complete crook. He comes of as Mr. Nice Guy don't be fooled by his act, he will screw you. I referred him to my neighbors because I thought he was great when he started. They told me he screwed them too but never mentioned it to me because they caught it early on and decided to just let it go. FYI The surface of my pool is now RUINED!!!! My vacuum still does not work - it turns out it most likely was not the copper line but more likely just a vacuum in need of a little repair. A repair cost for my vacuum is about $150 with the cost of all the construction and draining refilling my very large pool I am in the hole for 5K all because I got scammed by Ivan. There is a lag time on when the water travels to the pump especially when you switch the valve around as Ivan did when he demonstrated how the pump was working with no suction occurring. Turns out it takes a bit of time for the water to get to the pump. I learned all about this today when I had a new pool guy come inspect my pool. This valve position changing was part of Ivans magical scam demonstration part of his pitch he claimed to have 30 years of knowledge and that he knew without a doubt there was a pin hole in my copper pipping - a pipe buried under cement that he could not even see. Watch out for this guy he is VERY DISHONEST!! read more

My pool turned green and I had no idea of what to do. I called around and Ivan answered my plea for help by saying he had to have a look and he would let me know the cost to fix it. So that's what he did, to cost wasn't too bad and my pool was better the very next day. This was 3 or so years ago and Ivan and his crew have attended to my pool on a weekly basis ever since. I couldn't say anything better than thanks a bunch - all of you for your excellent service and complete billing. read more

I highly recommend Aqua Vida Pool and Spa. Quality and integrity at its best. Ivan is extremely professional from start to finish. He was very informative at our initial evaluation and kept things real simple which made me real comfortable. I've had other companies maintain my pool in the past and they took my pool and house for granted after a short while. Ivan continues, after all these years, to respect and honor my requests. He is very thorough, detailed and always keeps me posted on any pool treatments and/or repairs. He cleans up after himself, locks the gates and is very kind to our dogs. We have three kids and all there friends constantly using the pool not to mention our dogs who enjoy the pool as well. Ivan we really appreciate your services. God bless you. I found Ivan on Craigs list last year, I was desperate at that point. Not one pool company was able to get and keep my pool blue. He has done the job with teaching me somethings I can do as well during the week to maintain a beautiful blue pool. read more

Wow, I never even got past the first phone call with this owner. I own a home with a large in ground pool. Once every few years I get mustard algae bloom, and I usually have done the removal myself. This year I decided to hire a professional. I call this guy, and he goes right into his sales pitch. I explain to him, I understand the process, but allI am asking for is an estimate. He says to me " well if youve done it before, I am a professional, so I will be too expensive for you" How the hell do you run a business like this. Ridiculous. read more

This company is definitely professional. My pool was completely green and I had to fire my previous pool man because he was overcharging on services and he could not explain why I needed these services. I am always willing to pay extra because I know chemicals for this type of business can be very pricey. Monthly charges definitely do not cover the cost compare to some services that are actually needed for pools. Anyway I found out about this great company and Ivan the owner told me that he would have to give me estimate by looking at what he is working with. I loved this because some people give you a price over the phone and when they start working they start to nickel and dime you for everything. Ivan came over looked at why my pool kept on getting green and I knew something was wrong. He explained detail by detail what my pool needed and it has been working so great ever since. Maintaining a pool is definitely hard, not anyone can just do the job. Thank you Ivan for the wonderful service!! read more

Ivan is amazing! I started using him just over a month ago and so far my pool looks GREAT! He comes promptly on time, is extremely knowledgable, personable and makes sure the job is done right. If you are looking for pool service I would definitely recommend Aqua Vida Pool and Spa read more

This is my first review I really don't like leaving reviews because it's really not my thing to do. I did have to take time out of my schedule to write this review because we have had such a horrible experience with Aqua Vida pool service. Ivan, has been very rude with my mother about everything and anything they have talked about in regards to the pool. He has been over charging for the services saying that the pool needs things that aren't even needed. Has let weeks go by with just coming over and just taking out the leaves that fall in the pool out and not servicing it, as a result this is our second time with a green pool and he blames the trees. As a pool service specialist that is your job to clean and maintain it however you are suppose to in order to keep it clean and blue. We do clean out the leaves during the week as well to help out. I feel it's just another way to take some more cash from an elderly women. At one point he even asked us to buy the chemicals that are needed for the pool and in my past experience it is the job of the poolman to have everything he needs in order to maintain the pool. That's what we pay monthly for, in that case I might as well learn how to clean it and do it myself if i am going to go out and buy the chemicals and Things needed. Like I said early I really don't like writing reviews, but I did this so that people can be aware and not get scammed. Remember the more you are knowledgeable about things the better chance you will have to get a service done right. Have a great day and may God bless everyone including Ivan. read more
