EXCELLENT SERVICE! Jeff is the man! Not only will he clean your pool like no other, he'll teach you how to do it yourself AND he'll give you awesome keto diet tips too. ;) We have been through our share of pool cleaners and Jeff just goes above and beyond. He is professional, fast, and affordable. We would recommend him to everyone we know. read more

Pool Scrubs is definitely The Best of The Best! Remarkably professional and honest. My pool sparkles! Jeff really knows his business and it's such a relief to never have to worry about my pool! My pool and equipment are perfectly cleaned and maintained. Jeff recommended and installed a heater and Skim-A-Round basket. Great guidance on heater and sizing. No upselling. Repaired pool vac instead of selling me a new one. His many years of experience have saved me $$$. Priced well and he is great to work with! Pool Scrubs leaves a note letting me know every time my pool is serviced. No guessing. Jeff explains what he is doing or not doing, and why. He explains and weighs the cost, quality and benefits of any equipment or treatment you may need. Professional, Reliable and VERY knowledgeable. Jeff has a positive, upbeat, cheerful personality. He has determined the best brands of treatments, equipment, and cleaning tools to do the best job for you. Amazing, but true..... He does what he says he will do! I love it that Jeff refers to my pool as "his" pool! Great service! read more

Disappointed. Christine and Jeff are great, but pool maintenance was only 15 minutes after initial $220 visit. He did come out to vacuum jacuzzi and dumped the debris in my white rocks. read more

I had been looking for a reasonably priced pool service in the Santee area and came across the ad for Pool Scrubs. The owner came out, told me about his company, the experience that they have, and every detail about how our pool would be serviced. His expertise was obvious and I was completely happy to have them get started. It was right after the winds had been through East County and our pool was filled with debris. They came out and did an amazing job of cleaning the filters and getting the pool in sparkling condition! I am completely happy and looking forward to having Pool Scrubs maintain my pool ongoing thank you! read more

Chris is a great tech. He knows his job. He is always helpful and responsible. He addresses any problems immediately.

Justin is awesome and my pool looks amazing!! Our pool was a nightmare when we moved in. Once we found pool scrubs we don't have to worry at all, they take care of everything. My husband loves that he doesn't have to touch it. Great service and I fully recommend!! read more

Bad experience. I texted the number on the website. A person answered. I scheduled a service for pool cleaning, and they agreed to come. I sent them a picture of the pool, and when they saw the water with a greenish color, they quoted me almost $1000, recommending a complete drain and chemicals for the water. Leslie's pool charges $120 for the pool drain alone. I also called other companies that quoted me between $150 to $200 for pool drain plus around $50 - $100 for chemicals. These guys said they wouldn't serve us unless we agreed to drain the pool completely. I checked with the people at Leslie's pool, who measure our water, and they told me our water is fine; no need to drain yet. I explained this, but they refused to serve us, canceled our app the day before they had to come, and left us hanging. I guess they don't need new customers and definitely lost one with us. That is no way to treat prospective clients. We found a different company now, very happy with the service. Please don't fall for the other 'good' reviews; this company is unreliable, plus they overcharge you. read more

I've been using Pool Scrubs forgot a couple of years and they are very friendly, reliable and helped out quickly with any problem i have had. Jeff helped me with a vacuum with a rebate and an awesome new pump when my stopped working. Justin comes out and does the cleaning quickly and well and even had a doggy biscuit for my dog when she's able to greet him. Thank you to this family business!! read more

I have been using Pool Scrubs for some time now and I really like the level of care they provide. They are easy to communicate with, they are always friendly and helpful and my Dogs love their technicians. Not just because they are nice guys that do a great job, but because their pockets smell like dog treats haha. It makes me feel good to know that they care about the job they do and also the fur friends they meet. Also you should know that my pool is not easy. Its a big pool and we use it all the time so we really care about how it is being cared for. read more

Chris Burnette always does our spa service and always makes sure to keep our spa clean and chemicals balanced. He even washes our cover which is really great to come to that it is clean. Overall I have been extremely happy with their services. They have even helped us when we had heat pump issues and they referred us to a trusty repair person. read more

We have been using Pool Scrubs for over 5 years at two locations. When we first reached out, we were having trouble with algae blooms and could not keep the water clear after inheriting a poorly maintained pool system. Jeff came out for our first assessment and estimate, and poured some enzymes in the pool and you could see them take effect right away. In just a few hot July days, we had crystal clear water-really it had never been so clean and clear. We started with weekly service because I didn't want to risk another bloom. Pool Scrubs eventually convinced me it was okay to go bi-weekly service, saving us a bit of money each month. We've since used Pool Scrubs for an escrow inspection on the filter, heater, and overall health evaluation of pool for a home we were trying to purchase. I'm so glad we went to them first, as Jeff calmed our concerns and helped us budget for expected repairs to have the system up and running shortly after we moved in. We have two small children and two pups, and Pool Scrubs have always ensured a safe environment. Gates are closed and kept secure. The pool is ALWAYS clear and ready for swimming. Equipment service calls are handled timely and efficiently, and the area is always left tidy and clean. Jeff even went so far as to breakdown boxes, move them to recycling, and registered our new vacuum for a rebate card. Most of our regular service has been done by Justin, with Jeff doing equipment maintenance, and we've recently been assigned to their new cleaner, Chris. All have provided us excellent service over the years, and we just can't say enough good things about Pool Scrubs. Christine in the office is incredibly polite and helpful as well. Just overall a joy of a local, family-run business. read more

Justin is the man! My pool is always sparkling clean! Great family, great service, HIGHLY recommend!

Jeff came out for a quote and was very friendly and shared a lot of great knowledge about my pool and what he could do for me. He talked about how he keeps the chemicals to make the pool look great but also feel great as well! His prices are very reasonable based on his high quality service and extensive experience. He seems very honest and was willing to be honest about specific equipment that works well. read more

I love that I don't get nickel and dimes with my pool service. The owner took a long time to explain all the costs and how the service works. Justin has done a good job filling in when he does the servicing of my pool. It's a family business and everyone is friendly and professional. You can find cheaper service, but it will cost you in the end! read more

I've been a Pool Scrubs customer for about 6 years. I've had such a great experience with their service over this time I felt compelled to make a Yelp account to tell you about a great family run business that's local to La Mesa. My pool sparkles like a precious glimmering gemstone year round. Zero smell of chlorine and I don't think I've ever had a kid complain their eyes burned while swimming. I've never been in a pool that didn't smell like chlorine and get your eyes a little - I hear this a lot when we have people over. Jeff and his son Justin take pride in my pool and act as if it's theirs. I'm not overselling this last statement. It's a rare business that takes this kind of ownership and sees the state of my pool as a reflection of who they are as a company. I invite you to enjoy this level of service too and make your friends jealous with a totally bitchin' pool. read more

Pool Scrubs - Even on a stormy day it sparkles! - Pool & Hot Tub Service Near Me - La Mesa, California

Pool Scrubs has been providing professional services for me for years. Before they took over, I had chronic algae buildup, never really knew if my scheduled service took place (in a bad way, had to micro-manage), I also had to add additional chemicals to keep the algae down and the water looking fresh and clean. Since Pool Scrubs took over, it's been a 100% better; They are very professional/friendly, pool water and the condition of the pool has never looked better, they have never missed a scheduled appointment (which is worth a lot these days). Jeff markets his company as a pool service provider, I think he should rebrand as a "Professional Chemist" that just happens to provide services on pools. If you are in the need of pool services, I highly recommend contacting Pool Scrubs. read more

These guys are amazing! The materials they use is really gentle and makes your skin soft after swimming. The pool always looks so clear even though it's used every day. They never miss a scheduled cleaning. And, they do not charge a lot. Great family business! read more

Pool Scrubs has been nothing short of amazing. We bought our house back in 2014, and never having owned a pool we trusted the pool guys that had previously been hired and asked them to continue despite home ownership changing. That was a BIG mistake. Thankfully my husband found Pool Scrubs just in time! We immediately changed to them after Jeff came over to see our pool and explain services. He explained things clearly, didn't try to hide anything, there was a clear contract, and things are done online for easy record keeping. Justin C. is now the one servicing our pool and he does a fantastic job! Our pool looks beautiful now, always sparkling, and our friends love jumping in and playing without getting red irritated eyes from too many chemicals in the summer. Also- Christine is amazing! She responds very quickly to calls or texts and everyone in the office is very helpful when you have questions. Couldn't be happier with the switch! read more

We've been with Pool Scrubs for a long time and been very happy with the service. The pool is always clean and well-kept!

My salt cell kept getting a buildup on it and thought it may be time to change the water. Due to some staining I thought I should look into an acid wash while it was empty. I called several places and the price quoted was in the ballpark of the other quotes I received although Pool Scrubs appeared to be in business longer and Christine and Jeff were responsive when I called. Jeff completed the acid wash on time as promised - in time for the kids to use it for the holiday weekend. I have been using a Barracuda vacuum for about 15 years and it has done pretty well but Jeff suggested a different vacuum and it appears to be doing a better job so far. Prices: Competitive, Service: A+++, Timeliness: Again A+++ including Jeff working late to complete the acid wash and refill on time for the holiday weekend. I definitely recommend Pool Scrubs!! read more

We are new to pool ownership. Pool Scrubs' owners, Jeff and Christine, walked us through everything we needed to know to feel confident in caring for our pool. And the best part is, we just text when we have a question, and Christine can answer our questions or send someone out to troubleshoot. Our tech, Chris Burnette, comes to our house every other week and does a great job cleaning and balancing chemicals. We had pool deck construction last summer, and the pool was covered for a few weeks with a little construction debris muddying the water. Chris was able to clean up all the particles, and Jeff and Chris worked together to get things on track with some intense chemistry study and remediation. I also appreciate Chris' patience with our timid old lab. (He carries treats and is so sweet to her, even though she still barks when he comes! She now looks forward to his visits!) We are glad we found Pool Scrubs. read more

We have been using Pool Scrubs for some time now 4 plus yrs. Our pool always looks great! We have the good fortune of having Justin as our main pool guy and he's the best. I was looking for a new pool cleaning service provider and Jeff came out to my property. He was very knowledgeable and professional. The service we have received from the entire Pool Scrub team has been A+++++! My pool is older and used to be hard to care for until I hired the right team. The attention Pool Scrubs has given my pool made it crystal clean, removed calcium build up on my tiles, plus the algae problem the pool had before I signed on with Pool Scrubs, is Gone and has not returned! I highly recommend Pool Scrubs! read more

I've been using Pool Scrubs for about 8 years now and can honestly say that the owner's knowledge of servicing pools is the best. I have lived in my home with a pool for 27 years now and over those years I have had my share of pool services. All of them, except Pool Scrubs, serviced the pool weekly which sometimes could be disruptive if you are using the pool when they are expected to service it. Even with weekly service, many of those pool services failed to keep my pool in good shape, many not knowing how to keep it from growing algae. Pool Scrubs was unique in offering service every two weeks and from day one, and for past 8 years now, they have been able to retain that chemical balance and cleanliness. Jeff is by far the best at what he does. Although he has changed roles in recent years to repairs, and now has others doing the pool upkeep, if there are ever issues with his staff - Jeff and Christine are always quick to address and correct them. Although there have been some hiccups along the way, Jeff and Christine always resolve them quickly. Mistakes and conflicts are bound to happen when training younger staff members, but Jeff and Christine will respond to any issues, correct processes as a result, and make sure to let you know that your business is important to them. I highly recommend Pool Scrubs. read more

After 30 years of looking for a GOOD pool service i found POOL SCRUBS. Justin and Jeff are extremely knowledgeable, dependable and professional. We've been using Jeff now for about 9 months after our last pool guy turned our pool dark green. He cleaned it up and has kept it running and looking great ever since. When our heater and pump went out he took care of installing a new system and has been super responsive when we've had questions or issues. Really happy with the service we've received since switching to Pool Scrubs! read more

Though we have only worked with Jeff and his family for a short period of time, we are incredibly pleased with their strong work ethic and responsiveness. Our pool filter was very loud every time it ran, and our old pool guy didn't do anything to fix the problem. Jeff came out the day after we contacted him and fixed the problem very quickly and efficiently. We had another problem with the spa draining, which he also fixed in a timely manner. His services are very affordable, and he and his son Justin always leave our pool sparkling. These professionals 100% guarantee customer satisfaction, and I would absolutely recommend them to anyone looking for a fantastic pool service. read more

When Jeff, the owner, came to our house for a consultation and quote, he left quite the impression on me. He was knowledgeable and professional, as was his wife, Christine, with whom I spoke on the phone. He actually cleaned and serviced my pool that very same day. The condition he left it in made me feel pretty glad that I hired Pool Scrubs for regular pool service. This satisfaction did not last long, however. Jeff's son, Justin, also works at Pool Scrubs and has his own designated route, which apparently includes my house (I believe Jeff does all initial consultations). Justin subsequently took over the bi-weekly pool cleaning...to my disappointment. The quality of his work was not as good as I had hoped. After the third cleaning session, I had to call their office to express my dissatisfaction with the cleanliness of the pool every time Justin came by to service it. Jeff was quick to reply and made good on the "100% satisfaction guarantee" - he personally cleaned the pool himself the next day left it sparkling shape (tile walls were scrubbed and free of dirt, strainer baskets/nets emptied, floor and surface debris removed, etc.). I'm a satisfied customer once again! And then Justin resumed his normal route again. And again I was left displeased with the results. This time, he had to return the next day to finish installing a filter manifold. Luckily I had the day off and wanted to discuss the issue with him directly, without having to call the office again. I pointed out a couple of areas where I thought he could pay more attention to detail: a surface debris strainer net and the tile walls. I rubbed my finger across the tile wall and showed him how much dirt was coming off of it. He said he gave it a good scrub and that's as good as it's going to get. He even claimed that it must have accumulated all that dirt since he last cleaned (less than 24 hrs). I then asked him if he empties the strainer net because there was quite a bit of leaves and debris still trapped. Again, he claims that the net must have accumulated all those leaves and debris since he last cleaned it. I called him out on it because the strainer only works with the pump is on, and it's been off since he last cleaned it because of the removed filter manifold that he was replacing. Talk about getting defensive!! He rudely said that's as good as it's going to get...proceeds to remove the net, shake it a couple of times to demonstrate that nothing is coming out and then tosses the net on the ground and said that he had no choice at that time but to part ways with my business. I was shocked at the attitude and lack of professionalism. I even told him that, NO, it's not as good as it gets because your dad always cleans the pool to my expectations. Still, he refused to listen, stating that he's been cleaning pools since he was 16...he's 26 now...and that the way he's been cleaning pools is as good as it's going to get. Not true. Your dad set the bar; you failed to meet that standard. BTW, ever since Justin removed and replaced the filter manifold and recharged the filter with Diatomaceous Earth (DE), my pool has been cloudy with the DE powder flowing back into the pool. Now I have to hire another pool service company to fix his shoddy work. Hire only if Jeff will be the one servicing your pool. read more

This company is the best of the best!!! Jeff is the first PROFESSIONAL Pool Cleaner who views PROFESSIONALISM and OUTSTANDING CUSTOMER SERVICE as his #1 goal and to ensure your pool is super clean and ready for your Family to enjoy safe swimming. I found Jeff to be EXTREMELY FRIENDLY, PERSONAL, OPEN, HONEST, OUTGOING and EXTREMELY DEPENDABLE. He is the first Pool Cleaner (did I mention the owner with his Son helping and Wife Office Manager??). He starts off my explaining the 30 YEARS OF EXPERIENCE he has proceeded to explain everything to me that separates his Company from the rest such as a silk net skimmer to pick up minute and large particles, cleaning the walls of the pool, treatment methodologies and things required to save money overall and your pools longevity. He monitors the levels in the pool, and will even provide recommendations on equipment or things we can do to help provide longevity for our pools and save money in the long run. He told me that my pool is his pool and as such he will care for it as his own so you can rest assure you will have a beautiful and safe pool! Here we are once again giving Jeff and Pool Scrubs the highest praise and recommendation. We've exclusively used Pool Scrubs for over 5 years and we couldn't be happier with our experience. Jeff is always very responsive and knowledgeable. As with all pools we occasionally have something minor happen which requires some attention and Jeff has always been swift with his responses, fair with his prices, experienced and 'spot-on' with his solutions, and genuinely concerned about providing us with excellent customer service. Pool Scrubs is very professional, courteous, and knowledgeable. Everything that is posted on their website is true. I enjoyed meeting the owner. He went into great detail about pool structure, equipment, and chemistry which I appreciated very much. They've also got our pool looking the BEST it ever has. I liked the ownership they took of "their pool" that it means a lot to them to have your investment looking great. We also enjoy the new chemicals they implemented which do not make our skin itch or our eyes burn. We feel like we are in great hands with this company and you will not be disappointed if you give them a call. They are a premium pool service, so if you're looking to cut corners or go cheap, they are not your guys. We're wiling to pay more for excellent service that protects our pool for years to come. I like the "party prep" service they offer, the tracking of chemicals they've put into your pool, and the direct pay option. Christine who answers the phone is also extremely helpful and courteous as well, great family owned business! read more

I've been through several pool cleaning services throughout the years: I've had the 'splash and dash', the 'this needs to be repaired/replaced this week' and the 'did he show up this week?' pool services. Just happened upon Pool Scrubs Pool Service as they were servicing a pool of a home we were looking at. Once we bought the home, we kept this service at our home and very happy we did. They show up every week, and notify you of their scheduled weeks off so there is no guess work to know if they showed up; they keep logs of the water quality of your pool so they have a history of the water and know how best to keep it in balance. Best part is - if you time them, they are at the property longer than any pool service we've had and the water quality is amazing. Love Pool Scrubs! read more

Jeff is an extreme professional. I can't speak highly enough of his work ethic or level of service. I have 2 Boxer dogs (4yrs old) that love Jeff and he takes the best care of my pool resulting in comments from guest that have routinely commented "how the water in my pool feels"; no dry hair, skin or red eye. When Jeff has identified a need for my action (water fill) he leaves a note in his visit report. I have had 3 service companies in the past 4 years and Jeff delivers the best service I have experienced. I trust him implicitly with my pool, dogs and access to my home and credit card!
