this pool services the sofi complex in Poway. They are garbage. Not only do they have terrible customer service, but just today they were caught yelling at residents for self testing the pool that they clearly do not take care of. Not only was our pool shut down by the health department and possibly will be again for poor upkeep, but we have sat to watch this individual "clean" the pools... Barely doing anything at all. The filters are hardly ever checked - let alone cleaned, half the time they don't even test the chlorine, and when we do before and after he leaves... There is no change. skimming the pool? if he feels like it. The pompous attitude expressed by this person is atrocious. The latest comment? " well the pool is safe enough for my kids so whatever". I do not recommend this pool to be used for commercial, personal or any other use. I'm wondering if they are even this point to do the job they are supposed to be doing. read more

Absolutely flabbergasted that this company is in business. The pool they are servicing has been shut down by the city health department and the chemical balances are worse every day. The employees are not knowledgeable in any way and I would expect them to bankrupt from negligence lawsuits before ever learning how to properly maintain a pool. If I could leave a 1 star review I would! Pool is never clean, never clear. 0 chlorine everytime we try to use the pool, spa, wader. 0 chlorine, oh through the roof everytime! Alk over 180!!!! They come three times a week and can't get their shit together! 4 months and I've never seen the pool have chlorine unless I buy my own and put it in! Living in an apartment community during the hottest part of summer and unable to use the pool because it's been shut down by the health department. I've seen the person who services the pool come 3 days in a row and every day I go check to see if it's in better condition and it's still filthy, still ZERO CHEMS, and still closed. Love these guys. Have had about 3 different pool guys over the past 5 years and have been using Dallas for the past year and am very happy with his work. have had plenty of issues with my outdated system and DJ and his dad let me know what needed to be replaced ASAP and what could wait. When the lights went on the fritz, DJ came out and immediately changed them out for us and gave us a great deal. Will definitely continue to use them. thanks again DJ. read more

Dallas Jr has taken over for his father and I am seriously disappointed with his service and his unprofessional attitude. He took care of my pool for one month while we were out of town and the chemistry is worse now than it was when I left. He said he would take care of the chemicals and then a week into our trip he said there was algae growing on the walls. (this seemed odd since he was supposed to be taking care of the pool chemicals). I had my water tested right before I left. On my return I had my water tested again and to my dismay the pH was more out of range than when I left and my phosphorus went from 106 to 450 (4x)! Don't take my word for it, look at the photos of my water tests. When I contacted Dallas he refused to accept any responsibility, laughed at me, was condescending, cut me off numerous times when I tried to explain my concerns, and then hung up on me. He asked me what I expected for a 1 month service to which I replied I expected the water quality to stay the same or get better under "expert" care. This kid doesn't seem to know what he is doing and can't take responsibility for his actions. I would stay far away. read more

After servicing my house i am renting for 3 years Dallas Jr just upped and decided he no longer wanted to service my pool any more. Good riddance. He came any day he pleased and made a mess of the yard when performing a 200 dollar filter cleaning which he just hoses down and puts back. Before him, we've had another big name company that always add addtional charges here and there and makes our mothly pool maintance higher. With Dallas, everything was clear, no suprises ever, the pool is always sparckinlg clean, our neighbors's tree have lots of fallen leafs and he cleans it all. He checks our pool equipment regularly. When there is a problem he even tries to save cost for use by findding used parts for repair whenever possible. He also spends lots of time explaning to me how everything works when I have a questions, and how to operate our pools correctly. I've been using their services for more than 1 year and it was good. They did a good job with the weekly pool maintenance. However they lost my trust when they charged me an outrageous amount without informing me first. My pump had stopped working after I had some roof work done so Dallas quoted me a fee for his electrician to come and take a look. I then received a bill for a service fee that was 1.5x times more than what I was quoted. Upon inquiring, Dallas told me the initial quoted fee was just for the electrician to come take a look, saying "they don't come for free". I was not informed of that in the initial email when he first quoted me. I would have been ok had it known ahead of time. Nevertheless, I never received any call or email letting me know about the changes in the fee or even just letting me know. I'm just very disappointed in the lack of communication and poor service. I lost my trust in his service. Needless to say, I am no longer using his service. read more

Terrible Service. I could tell as soon as I bought the house with their service, that the previous owners never used the pool and they were taking them for a ride. I checked the chemicals myself, and could tell they tried to spend the least amount of time. As soon as I asked them to come back and fix anything, I could tell they were annoyed on the phone. Let me start by saying that I have never used this company, but I was so impressed by my phonecall with them that I decided to post a review anyway! I found ever clear pools on yelp because I was searching for someone to repair my hot tub. I gave them a call and the man I spoke to patiently listened to my issue and asked me some questions to try and identify the source of the problem. He was very knowledgeable. He told me he usually sources out issues like the one my hot tub is having to another individual that he knows specializes in those types of issues. At that point in the call, knowing that he would not be the right person for the job, he still took the time to both give me the name and number of a referral AND talked me through the process of how I might be able to identify and fix the problem myself! What a kind person! I will definitely refer my friends and family to Ever Clear Pools! read more
