The truck offers a menu and you can choose which drinks (up to three) to serve at your event. The workers are certified bartenders and the truck serves as an alternative to offering a full bar. I found the truck at the Gay Bingo event here in Charleston, and I had a Pina Coco drink, which was frosty and refreshing. The workers were quick at serving the drinks and handling the crowd, so the line wasn't super long. I'm sure the limited menu helps with this. The truck donated a portion of the proceeds back the cause (Lowcountry AIDS foundation), which I thought was an excellent idea and good excuse to enjoy a drink.

Loved to see the support from my neighbors! I was able to checkout the menu before heading down and had set my sights on their new Mexican Mac & Shrimp Bowl. This bowl was listed with the following -- mac & cheese, Cajun butter poached shrimp, queso, peppers and onions, black bean corn salsa, citrus crema, salsa sauce, jalapeños, and tortilla strips and cilantro. All things I love! Once I got to the window and placed my order I only had a short wait to receive my food. The guy at the window was super friendly! I brought the goods home and knew I was going to have leftovers for days. (Which I'm still enjoying!!!). As you can tell from the list of ingredients above I found the bowl offered a lot of fun combinations making for a great eating experience. The 2 things that would have elevated the bowl for me would have been salt and spice! I understand that serving a large range of clientele from a food truck would force seasoning to be on a lighter handed side versus a heavy handed side. But the reality is that I got to bring my bowl home and adjust the seasoning and spice level myself. :-) I'm definitely looking forward to seeing the FU truck again.
