Campground appeared to be clean and the staff was friendly. Was very convenient to have the firewood purchased delivered directly to the site. Only complaint was being in a site next to the main building which caused for noise from the main road. We will definitely be back to this KOA and are even planning on making this the destination of our annual friends and family camping trip. 100% recommend staying here.

How do I feel about this KOA? The best way I can describe it is "meh". Fine for a one or two…read morenight stopover on your way to somewhere else or if you're visiting the area but I definitely wouldn't want to plan my vacation here. We arrived not long after the posted checkin time to find a locked office and a map with our name written on it posted to the door. Being avid campers, we're no stranger to this practice but typically this is done if you're a later arrival and if not the campground usually gives you a heads up that the office will be closed then checks in on you later in the day to make sure you settled in ok and don't need anything. We've never been to the area so I was looking forward to speaking with the staff for some recommendations of places to go in the area. We also didn't have any firewood. They're doing some big renovations and I'm optimistic that they'll be nice. The bathrooms appear to have recently been done and look great (although the shower stalls are directly next to one another and have large openings on the top and bottom which is less than ideal for privacy sake). Water pressure in the showers was great and they are free but the stalls and dressing areas are cramped and could use more hooks/shelves to put things while in use. The rest of the campground was an absolute mess though. Obviously construction mixed with spring mud is not a pretty combination but to be honest had I known the current state of the campground I would have booked elsewhere. Guests should have been informed in advance and given a discounted rate or the campground should have delayed opening until the major renovations were completed. Our site was pretty level but had a cabin up right against it with nothing to separate the sites for privacy. The view was the pool and the road. Fire ring was a small one that was sunk into the ground. We had two bars of service for T-Mobile which allowed us to use our cell phone but not to stream anything when we were stuck inside because of the rain. So to sum it up...I'm going to give it a middle of the road rating of 3 stars. The location is good and I'm happy to see they are making improvements to the property. Although the ambiance and privacy was severely lacking for us I'm optimistic that they are working on improving that. However I think the service could be improved and more consideration could be given to the guest experience. **Update** Shortly after posting this the owner approached my fiancé and said that he felt bad about the current state of their campground so they were going to issue us a partial refund for our night stay. So I don't know if the owners saw my review (which I honestly don't think was the case since it was within half an hour of my post) or if it was just a crazy coincidence but ultimately the owner did try to improve on our experience.

We decided on a last minute camping trip and found this gem. We have a 30 foot Travel Trailer and…read morewere given a pull thru site in the back, at the base of French mountains. Site had 30 and 50 amps, full hookups Shady and in a quiet part of the campground which as a retired couple, we prefer. Pulling our camper into the "pull thru" was a bit challenging as the entrance was narrow with an embankment on one side and a mature tree on the other. We skinned by the tree and rocked a bit on the roots but managed to get in. We also had to clear the way as there were rocks strewn near the sewer and the picnic table was in the middle of the site, but again all easy to shift. The site itself is not one I would ise again as it is parallel to the road with your firepit only 8 feet from the side of the trailer and no space for the picnic table. Again, this was just the site and we were grateful to get a reservation with just a couple days notice in the height of summer. Staff was friendly and the best part was the access to the Warren County Bike trail, with level paved bikeway and plenty of Geocaches along the way. We also met alot of friendly fellow campers and will not hesitate to return again.

After two seasons under Modern America Campgrounds, we have decided not to renew our seasonal…read morecontract due to ongoing issues, poor management, and repeated promises that have gone unfulfilled. Property safety is a major concern. Trees have fallen, and others remain a hazard. Regional Manager Janet promised these issues would be addressed, yet two seasons later, they remain unresolved. Safety should be a priority, not an afterthought. Management is another disappointment. Janet is rarely seen on the property, and our interactions with her have not been welcoming. We expected more involvement, professionalism, and accountability from someone in her position. Groundskeeping and maintenance are consistently lacking, and concerns are sometimes met with attitudes rather than solutions. Meanwhile, maintenance employees are allowed to advertise RV winterizing through company emails, despite concerns about whether they carry insurance for that work. It raises serious questions about oversight and priorities. More attention has been given to personal work than campground attention. The dumpsters have also been moved outside the campground, to the other side of the store. This makes trash disposal unnecessarily difficult for guests with mobility limitations and for those leaving with their RVs who can no longer conveniently stop on their way out. Guest convenience seems to have been overlooked. Seasonal guests pay a monthly Wi-Fi fee, yet getting a usable signal is often a challenge. Paying for an unreliable service is frustrating. Electric bills are another concern. Charges seem inconsistent and don't always appear accurate. When we ask for clarification, we receive generic answers instead of a clear explanation of how the bills are calculated. Guests deserve transparent billing. These are not one-time inconveniences. They are recurring issues raised over two seasons, with promises and explanations but little meaningful improvement. Seasonal guests invest substantial money and should expect safe grounds, maintained facilities, accessible amenities, reliable paid services, and responsive management. Camping is supposed to be fun. A place to relax, spend time with family, and make memories. Instead, decisions made here have taken much of the enjoyment out of it. What should have been a peaceful getaway has become a source of frustration. And before management responds that they don't recognize this name as a seasonal guest: we are intentionally not using our real name. We still have two weeks to remove our camper and belongings, and we do not want to risk an uncomfortable situation or potential retaliation for sharing our experience. The name on this review does not change what we experienced. No campground is perfect, but after two seasons of unresolved concerns, we have decided our time and money are better spent elsewhere. We hope corporate takes these issues seriously for the guests who remain.

We had to wind through other RVs and vehicles to get to our assigned spot. The large trees where so close to the site it was impossible to get in with our 40 foot motorhome and had two large wooden platforms with broken boards covering an open hole and a facet leaking watermarking a muddy mess.They moved us to a back in site that was so narrow our slide was inches from the neighboring RV's awning. This park is not Star-Link friendly.
