Also a huge fire hazard as someone mentioned, there are massive amounts of leaves and dead branches along with fire pits blazing into the night. Good plan. The office though. Who keeps hours from 11 am to 4 pm? If you need propane and need to get to your next stop, no one will help you. Not even the people who work there and are standing right there. It is very very dark at night at this park. So just be aware. Obviously nothing that they can control, but when having to take your dog out at night, and all of the junk covered in tarps all around.. you tend to forget what is junk and what are large shadowy things in the night. Won't be back. They don't care if you come either. So don't bother. Much better places to stay in the area. I also feel their website is misleading. Leading with a huge picture of Lake George. This is an excellent place to go camping. It is definitely a good place to have a good time everybody seems to be very friendly we have been there for 2 years and facilities are very clean and the management is very nice. They have ponds where you can go fishing and they keep it stocked with fish there is no lake but they do have a heated swimming pool. They have live bands that play every Saturday and they have a playground for the kids as well as a full size basketball court they also have a baseball field as well. We have horseshoe pits a place to play bocce ball and a volleyball court. They have a place where they all gather together and have their bomb fires as a community within the park and we also get together and have meals as well periodically throughout the season. These are put on by management paid for by donation bottles that are used by campers and donated to the office they return them and use that money to go towards helping to pay for all the things that they do or the camp itself. So if you're looking for a great Campground for a seasonal spot this would be a real great place to try. Thanks for listening

If you want to be on your phone and computer all the time, stay home or go to a hotel. This place is for getting away and enjoying the beautiful trees, mountains, and lakes of the Adirondacks. You most likely will not get cell service there. If you need it, you can get wifi at the rec hall. It is close to Lake George and not far from I 87 to travel to points north like Lake Schroon and Lake Placid. We made some life-long friends during our week at Mt. Kenyon campground. I will definitely be back.

But, this place says when you drive up that They have free wifi but it does not say that the signal ends 5feet from the front entrance. So this place basically had no wifi, the people who own it are very nice and helpful. But they told us as soon as we arrived there is no cell phone reception whatsoever throughout the campground. Yeah I wasn't too happy. The general store was over priced, 2.25 for a lighter I can get one for 1.75 at home. And the showers and bathrooms need a renovation or just a good cleaning. Also don't plan on washing dishes here they yell at you if you do. And They charge u 2$ for each bag to use their dumpster,,,,we laughed and drove to the mobile down the road and tossed it there. The pool looks nice from the outside, but we didn't go in it that much because it wasn't maintained.(For example, it wasn't skimmed and never vacuumed so there were dead and living bugs all over the bottom of the pool and the surface of the water, besides the frog in the pool enjoying the bugs no one used it the whole time we were there) Overall I wouldn't come here again, thought we'd give it a try but gonna stick to going to Lake George Escape Campgrounds from now on.

The son is good, however the mother is not. Seemed evident she made a passive-aggressive effort to make the stay less than pleasurable which was apparent from reservation through checkout, and jumps to all kinds of conclusions. Like she was somehow inconvenienced or put out and also doesn't listen well as a result. She's certainly glad when you leave. She repeatedly does a very poor job of even the most basic accounting and dates, but somehow you're the one at fault. She also gets way too wound up and in your business should you dare have a visitor (like holy smokes, lady, chill out), and nosy in general. She's the only thing that brings the place down, otherwise they'd easily be 4-5 stars. :(

The trolley picks up/drops off right across the street or a 1 minute walk away to bring you into the town which is only a few minutes away. The 2 bedroom cabin we stayed in was spacious & the porch/picnic table out front was perfect. Cabin was nice & clean. Pet friendly & the owner even brought us over a little gate to use while we sat outside with our dog on the porch. Our cabin was right across from the pool which was VERY clean & refreshing my kids loved that pool. The best part about this place was the family who owns/runs it- they work so hard & were so helpful & friendly. During our stay the AC started not working as well (it was super hot muggy July) the owner came immediately to our cabin & REPLACED the AC unit to a brand new unit - it was nice & cold after that. I couldn't believe the service - you can tell they truly care about their guests. Up the hill they had a swing set, basketball court, volleyball net- fire pit, grills, a zip line. There is plenty of space for the kids to run around & play. My daughter rode her scooter around at the top of the hill and other kids had bikes. We stayed Monday-Thursday in the middle of July & it was very peaceful & quiet while still giving that fun family friendly vibe. You can tell this is the type of place that once you stay here it will become "your place" year after year & we will definitely stay here again !! I wish I took more pictures of the place but I'm not usually a reviewer so didn't think about it but this place deserves the shout out !
