If you don't care that it's not the most up to date place and has a little character, you'll love it.

I stayed with a friend in a small little cottage for about 75. It has the basics , queen bed , TV, bathroom, wifi , and air conditioning. Doesn't seem like much but for what you get the price isn't bad. What's sets this apart is that this motel , like others nearby , is connected to a small lake which gives a fantastic view that makes it worth while . They also include pattleboats and canoes so u can ride on the river and even go fishing . They have basketball courts, table tennis, and even grills outside that makes this feel like it's a small community in which you live . You can go to resorts that have this and pay a couple hundred at least ... But if you want something simple and peaceful , this will give you everything you need and then some, worth every penny!

We ate out a few times, but the kitchen was fully furnished to make a nice dinner last night . our unit 13 has a lovely main bedroom with a jacuzzi on-suite. With 2nd bedroom on the same level. The 2nd floor had great views from the living room and a fireplace that opened to the dining room. with a 3 rd bedroom in a loft (a very cool room for kids ) easy parking . since the fireworks were right down the road, we walked down to the doc and could watch without having to drive the views are spectacular. Close to everything. We will be back

The price is very reasonable for the location and a private cabin compared to staying at a hotel for twice the cost. They have liquid body soap, shampoo, lotion and shampoo always full and everything appeared cleaned properly. The WiFi works great and he was installing new extenders while I was there yesterday. Pus, waking up to the sun streaming in and a view of the forest and trees behind you is just magical. The rest of the house is great, too. The bathroom is clean and they even provide some guest toiletries! The kitchen is beautiful and modern. The couches are cozy, the grounds are a dream. Kelly and Dan are fast to respond, and answered all of my questions in a friendly and timely manner. They were super accommodating, and seem to genuinely enjoy hosting guests. Dan went out of his way to help me as I was traveling on crutches with a broken leg. We had a great sleep and a nice visit.

Hubby and I found this place on expedia for $70 a night and decided to try it. We were happy with our decision to stay here. The blair house is one of many mom and pop motels on the route 9 strip just outside of Lake George Village. Like many motels here your "room" might actually be a small cabin or a cottage. We opted for a king size bed so our room was actually joined with 3 other rooms (two on the bottom and two on the upper floor) in a combined cottage. Our room had a king size bed, a private bathroom, A/C, a television with a remote control, a mini fridge, a microwave and a keurig. I'm not a keurig fan but a keurig in your hotel room is actually pretty nice as most hotels with coffee pots do not provide keurigs. These extras in our room enabled us to visit the grocery store during our trip and stock it with some milk and extra drinks. We also bought our own k-cups and cereal so we could save on breakfast. During our stay the maintenance in our room was basic service. I think the family that lives in the office house and owns the hotel maintains the rooms so we were provide with fresh towels and extra toilet paper but our beds were not made. I am not complaining about this though as we don't make our bed at home so it didn't bother us. The keys are literally keys not cards that are now given as room keys in major hotels. The owners were very nice, we didn't have many questions for them but when we checked in they did tell us not to hesitate if we needed anything. I enjoyed the blair house and would come back again if we went back to lake george.

Check in was smooth and painless and it's great you can check in until 9:00pm. Checking out was painless as well. They just ask you to keep it clean which isn't asking much. About a 15 minute walk into town but only a 1 minute drive. It is in a great location and suits all of your needs. Just beware if you are going with a large group - there is only one space per cottage for parking so make sure you follow this because parking is very slim. Definitely a place you should look into if you are visiting the area!

We stayed here two nights at the beginning of August (2019) and couldn't have had a better experience. The new owners took over just two months prior, so they are busy doing upgrades to the camp office and store and around the campground. The upgrades being made did not impact the quality of camp sites or other facilities. Additionally, the personal attention provided by Will and his father made us feel like regulars. Will's father greeted me by name every time he saw me and would stop what he was doing to chat. We stayed at one of the full hookup sites during this visit. There are less than 50 total sites in the campground and only a hand-full had full hookups. Most did have water and electric. The sites are VERY Level, good sized, close, but spacious enough to have an enjoyable stay without being on top of each other. The cottages and motel looked nice from the outside. There is a nice sized and landscaped swimming pool, game room, and large community fire pit to enjoy. The location of the campground is ideal. Only two miles south of Lake George and a few miles north of the Outlet Mall. Another amenity is the paved bike path that goes along the back of the campground and runs between Lake George and Glen Falls. This was a great amenity and can help avoid all the traffic at Lake George by riding bikes into town. Overall this was a great place to stay to explore the area. Being smaller in size meant less traffic and noise, but didn't mean less enjoyment. The campground and buildings were well maintained and conveyed a welcoming atmosphere. The one area where Whippoorwill is lacking is the camp store/office, but this is the area they are currently updating so I expect great things in the future. We look forward to returning in the future.
