Honesty, Integrity, Professionalism…read more This was my experience with Groundworks Foundation Consultation. Beau Roper arrived at our property on time, introduced himself politely, and gave us a quick overview of what to expect -- how long things would take and when we'd get the report back. We walked the property together so I could point out any issues and he could ask questions. He then got to work, explaining that the inspection would take about an hour to an hour and a half since he needed to be thorough and photograph everything on the property. We ran some errands and came back just as he was finishing up. He walked us through everything he'd done and made sure my wife felt comfortable with the findings before leaving the property clean and orderly. Moving forward, Groundworks kept us updated on the status of the report and what to expect next. Everything arrived exactly on time. I can't thank them enough -- this was an exceptional experience compared to other contractors I've dealt with. Groundworks provided a very thorough report, complete with the licensed engineer's information, which made a real difference. Quick note for anyone in Texas: there's no state license or requirement to be a foundation contractor here -- all you need is a shovel. It's a pretty wide-open, unregulated space. That's what made Groundworks' transparency stand out even more. As it turned out, our house didn't need any foundation work, so we don't know firsthand how they'd handle an actual repair. But if we ever do need one, it'll be with Groundworks -- because of how Beau Roper handled everything, start to finish.

I'm really glad I heard about this company from friends and family in the area. Generocity…read moreFoundation in Friendswood got me scheduled fast and at a time that worked with my schedule. The inspector, JT, was friendly and clear spoken and took his time going through everything. He used some kind of high-tech equipment to measure our floors and figure out how much our slab was off, then walked us through all his findings in plain English. Turns out we didn't need any major foundation work right now (which was a huge relief!), but JT still gave us some great tips on how to prevent future issues. I really appreciated how honest he was -- no pressure, no upselling, just straightforward advice. It's nice to know there are still honest foundation companies out there that care more about helping people than just making a quick buck. Foundation work is not cheap, but will save your house from further damage if needed. Big thanks to JT and Generocity Foundation!

Gave a hour and a 10 min notification of arrival. He walked the exterior and interior of the house. He pointed out possible concerns. Eventually brought in a machine and took multiple measurement throughout the house. He explained what was considered acceptable. He gave me recommendations on how to help my foundation, and what to look out for. He was very relaxed and informative. He wasn't pushy or trying to push me into getting foundation work done. It was a very positive experience.

I…read morewas interested in purchasing a home that had prior foundation issues and had hired Level Check to do the work. I reached out after touring the home and was concerned that possible foundation issues remained and if a warranty would transfer. Abigail walked me through the process and emailed me with detailed, transfer procedures which was so helpful! She was very knowledgeable, helpful and tried very hard to give me a good comfort level. I was in the service industry for many years and Abigail serves as a good example of how a professional should interact with their customers. in conclusion, I can't review Level Check's work, but hiring a quality employee such as Abigail, reflects favorably on the company as a whole. Thank you. Mary Mellinger

UPDATE: Austin.....you're quite good with words in response to reviews if they dont go the way you…read morewould like man,I give you that, but hey that's what BM's are trained to do best I've always found! Incomplete or Inaccurate details? 1.The Tech did text my wife a bit after he left "Are yall gonna sign tonight"? If thats not pressure im not sure what is. 2.We did go with FIGURE and close our HELOC which was what my wife stated she was told.Thats why I gave her my info to apply for pre-approval. 3.My wife was told that the sub floor needed to be removed due to rot. That is damage right? Your estimate clearly states "damage" on sub flooring replacement.Does it not? One spot was damaged in laundry room. Not even a full sheet. Removing the sub floor was not needed. Please see pics. 4.As far as photos and conditions please see attached in this update. 5.The back end of house that was sitting on the ground did need the most attention and it got all new beams as they were rotted but no sub flooring. 6.I never mentioned "My Uncle" had foundation experience as all of my uncles are dead! Please read my review again and show me where I stated that? 7.Home was repaired SAFELY and CORRECTLY! It does not touch the ground anywhere now.All solutions are permanent not temporary as you say!No subfloor was removed except for (1) piece in laundry room which had a soft spot!New beams and piers installed where house was on ground.New beams and piers added to be every 6 linear ft.15 Cubic tons clay soil removed for access and pier/beam installation. It was even spread around problem area of house to create a natural swell and divert water away from home which was how the home got that way to begin with! The price to reset all piers and level was $3.75 a Sq Ft not $10. Everything was done by the book. This company is licensed, bonded, and insured as well! All solutions were performed to be LONG TERM, not temporary. They removed 15 Cu tons of clay soil for access and repairs, spread it for me to divert water, and fixed all plumbing after home was leveled.Heres the kicker.......total out the door was $25,050.00.$10,025 at start and $15,025 final invoice upon completion!
