My son recently tested positive for flu and was prescribed Tamiflu, which as it turns out of out of stock at every major pharmacy (Rite Aid, Walgreens, CVS) and needed to be back ordered, which would take days. I called Five Star, which not only had it in stock, they got it ready within an hour. Michelle, the pharmacist, was extremely helpful and gave detailed instructions for use, dosage and store. There is no system, no urgency, and no communication. People are just standing there, confused and frustrated, waiting for what feels like forever. This is not a one-time issue--it's every single time. This pharmacy is clearly understaffed, but more importantly, it is poorly managed. There is no triage system, no separate line for quick pickups, and no effort to move things efficiently. It's just chaos. And this is a pharmacy--people here are often sick, in pain, or just trying to get essential medication. What makes it even worse is that some of us don't even have other options. I would prefer to have my medication delivered, but my insurance does not allow it--so I'm forced to come here and deal with this situation. This is unacceptable, unprofessional, and honestly a health concern to have people packed into a slow-moving line like this. Management needs to take responsibility and fix this immediately. Then they use a 3rd party delivery service, which is basically someone using their own car to deliver. On my first prescription at the beginning of April I left specific instruction to 4 people at the pharmacy to make sure the driver has the instruction to call me when they get there because there's no access to my home from the front. I happened to go out front to get my mail as the driver was leaving because he knocked on the front house and no one answered. He would have left without giving me my medication. DO NOT USE THEM! If you medical insurance has a contract with them, then file a complaint with your medical insurance provider.
