THis POLO location on Tanger Outlets Riverhead Location is the worse! I called in gave rep about 8-9 items to purchase she place me on hold never came back not even after i waited for over an hour. I hung up and called back to be told that her manager had told her to do something different. Mind you she never came to the line to update me , refresh with me or to tell me what was going on. during the whole hour and seventeen minutes no one even cared for who was waiting on their phone line. Whoever was on the closing shift on Nov 27th 2023 deserves to at the very least be retrain on how to treat people in general. Why have people like this to represent your Brand?? Damn. My wife and I visit Tanger/Riverhead a few times a year, and I've always looked forward to checking out what's inside Ralph Lauren for us big & tall guys. This last experience was so disappointing. They've moved the department from the free standing store to a separate location on the other side of the outlet. Walking in, it seemed bright and open... a good sign as I hate tight spaces. My smile ended there. Hey, I don't expect $5 tees like Nike has... but really? $75 and over $100? And honestly, the selection seemed smaller than when it was just a section at the old store. If I'm spending that kind of cash, I'll just but what I want at DXL or Macy's. read more

I am not sure this is real "outlet" store as some of their pricing was just OK. Nothing nice that would say WOW to and certainly not worth a trip. If you are in the area, maybe, but since its not attached and you have to walk across the parking lot just for them. I went in it was a nice assortment of items from home items to clothing to jackets etc. but nothing that made me want to buy anything. Maybe it was the fact I was ignored or not greeting by anyone and left to just walk around and not pointed out certain things that should have been pointed out. I was in the polo outlet store on July 9th 2022 my mother ordered an item with an employee at the Register a week went by and my mother hasn't received the package I called the store to speak with an employee to check the status of the order a female employee picked up and told me that the order was still in route and I told her the ups tracking number wasn't working and she said that's fine that I just have to wait and that I didn't have to call ups. Now fast forward to today July 20th 2022 I still have yet to receive the package and the ups tracking number still wasn't working so I contacted this store again an other female employee picked up she checked my order status she had all the correct information for the order then she was supposedly called away by an customer so the store manager picked up the phone to help me & this was a male Manager I told him what was going on and he checked the ups tracking and told me that ups tried to deliver my package last week and I told him that was impossible because Im injured and I've been home for the past 2 weeks and the UPS employees know my apartment because I'm always ordering products so I told him that was impossible that ups tried to deliver my package then he said that I had to update my shipping address I told him that his employees told me that I didn't have to contact UPS and then I asked him so who's fault is that and he has the nerve to say that it is " everyone's fault " so after he said that I hung up. I just called UPS and got a whole run around trying to get to a representative and after 30 minutes finally got to a representative on the phone and the representative tells me that the sender ( polo ) never put my apartment number on the shipping address on it. so tell me who's fault is that because I'm not the sender. I love this polo outlet this is my go to outlet but the employees do not care about their job or the customers. And by the way if your looking for an item that you see in the store and you ask an employee to look for the item in a size you wanted and they tell you they don't have it then go ask an other employee to check because one of their employees also lied to me and told me that the size I wanted was in the store and she said she went to go look and came back and told me that they didn't have it but then I asked an other female employee and she found the exact item I wanted in the size I needed. My wife and I went to the children's Ralph Lauren Outlet at Riverhead Tanger, and purchased outfits for our granddaughter. Before we could get down to Georgia, we received a text from our daughter, that our granddaughter had a growth spurt and was now a 3Toddler. We went to the store and we're pleased to meet a sales representative named Rose. She told us to relax and that she would take care of this. She replaced the items with the new size and substituted new items that were not in stock in the store. She even offered to order the items and have them shipped. Rose was pleasant and professional. Dealing with the public, I understand that this is expected behavior from a sales rep., but, I must say that Rose was so pleasant and genuine that it was contagious. I do not write reviews frequently, however, however, when someone helps me with skill and kindness, it must be acknowledged. I will gladly shop at Ralph Lauren again with Rose as my helper. There was a good 70% sale all weekend long , alot of different selections, the staff was not helpful at all and unaware that there were customers who were taking the alarms off and walking right out the door. SMH My wife tried a jacket on and there were over 20 alarms stuffed into the pockets What a shame read more

Ehhh me thinks not! Came in to find a pair of jeans - took 3 girls to help out. All of the 3 couldn't figure out the tablet login to check the sizes in stock. One girl did tell me that she was new - which means she received way too little of training to be out on the sales floor. They also didn't seem too interested in helping me out in general. A 4th girl came (Caitlyn was her name I believe) - executed what I was looking for and showed me different styles. She didn't put too much effort into helping me after that. If I were anything less than 100% to my clients - I'd be out of a job. It's hard to spend the $80-100 on a pair of jeans after receiving mediocre to terrible customer service. For that reason, I left and bought elsewhere. I won't be back. Verdict: Too expensive for terrible service. read more

This review is for the women's Polo store in Riverhead NY. Tonight at 7:00 pm the 2 young women working there need some customer service and managing training. I was literally the only one in the store for about a half hour. Not once did either of them say can I help, do you need a dressing room, not even a have a nice evening after paying for a shirt. Working in the customer service business myself as a corporate manager I found this unacceptable in this time where there is so much competition. Terrible service! Train people who care! That alone will sell PRODUCT! read more

Went into Ralph Lauren big and tall and was immediately asked what size I wore and asked why I was in there and was told I shouldn't be even tho I was just there to get a gift for a friend I thought it was very rude! It's no ones business why I am in the store to shop! Plus the whole time the manager and another employee had their masks down while very unprofessionally yelling at each other. As the manager she should have taken the argument to the back at least it's so rude to fight in front of customers very awkward. read more

The Polo store at the Tanger outlet mall is pretty decent. They have a wide range of clothes for men and women. They used to have housewares at this outlet store but not anymore. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Prices were moderate to expensive. I will advise anyone who has the time and means to go to the Woodbury Commons outlet. Bigger store, bigger selection, they do have housewares (bedsheets, etc etc) and the tax is cheaper as well. You can also head out to NJ or PA and not pay any tax at all but that is up to you. read more

I enjoy shopping at this store as does my boyfriend but the treatment towards a customer I witnessed this weekend was not okay. An elderly man basically racially profiled an asian woman (assuming she'd probably be selling bootleg Polo items). She was taking a few pictures of items in the store. He then went to one of the workers who approached the woman and scared her off!! The woman was apologetic and I truly believe she wasn't doing anything out of the ordinary. The way she was approached was horrible. I've been in this store several times and have snapped shots to send to family in regards to sizes if they'll fit and if they think so and so will like the item I'm thinking of purchasing. Not all of us who shop at Tanger are in Riverhead and or Suffolk County. I travel 40 minutes and some people even come from the city to shop! This store shouldn't judge those who shop here or take another customers word! Very foolish! you never know the amount of money in someone else's pockets. read more

My wife and I shopped there today and a woman that others in the store indicate is the manager was rude and racially profiled us because we are Asian. My wife took some pictures and texted to her mother and sister-in-law to see if they like the colors. My wife was going to purchase 10 t-shirts for each as a Christmas present as they live overseas and cannot readily access these shirts. My wife was harassed and embarrassed by the manager and told that it is store policy that you cannot buy more than 5 t-shirts. She was concerned that my wife was going to sell these elsewhere. These are $15 shirts - not $100 jackets. This same woman harassed me 5 minutes earlier because I took down about 5 dress shirts from the shelf looking for a size 16. Supposedly someone from corporate was coming and she wanted to make sure everything looked perfect. I apologized and told her I was looking for a 16 - all she did was tell me that I am not allowed to take multiple shirts off the shelf and did not assist me in finding a size 16. read more
