Being that I'm from Baltimore, I had zero experience with auto shops in CT so I was at the mercy of competing online ratings. Right from the time my car arrived at Cotaling's I was kept updated on my car's status. From the initial repair quotes thru to the insurance company's decision to total the car, Joe made sure to contact me and keep me in the loop. I appreciated his commitment to keeping the lines of communication open.

(Reattached and buffed) And did some paint retouch on the side rear, also very nicely done. The wash they gave my car was also really good, and from the high shine, maybe they waxed it too. Thank you Cotaling's.

I took 5 wheels for painting and minor repair; they kept the truck for 5 days in their shop. I was…read moreexcited at first to see it in a new look when I picked up the truck, but after a couple of days, I checked the wheels and saw some flaws in the paint; two of them had issues with thin paint in the center wheel lug area. I contacted the shop, and they offered to repair it. They kept my car for another 4 days, and when I went back after, I was told they had to redo all the wheels, and I trusted them that the issue was fixed. Then, I got back home and saw the same issue: thin paint in the same area. I am frustrated and tired of bringing the truck back and forth to this shop. It seems they don't have a staff member with quality control experience to check the wheels if they are done correctly the first time. Now, I am still waiting for them to redo the paint on the same wheel for the third time. If you don't know anything about quality workmanship, you might miss the flaws in their work. For all the trouble I have gone through with this shop, I regret not buying a new set of wheels instead. I don't like giving negative reviews; 3x repairing the same issues is not acceptable. The manager accepted that the failed paint job was their fault. In my opinion, based on my experience, their staff lacks training!
