Lots of hate for Pollo. I got take-out a couple of times in recent weeks and for the most part, everything was fine. We did the drive-thru and the staff were friendly and reminded us of the sauces and asked if we wanted them. We got the whole chicken family combo whatever and each time, we got everything we ordered. We also got fried yucca. While the food is not the greatest ever made, feeding a family for $25-30 is fair trade. The only complaint I have is that on one of our visits, the chicken was incredibly dry like it had been cooked earlier and reheated for us. read more

I usually dont feel the need to give a fast food chain a review since it's just fast food but this place lacks customer service so bad that it sometimes stops me from going back. I do gotta give it to them on the food, it's always fresh and hot but the employees are so so rude that it's just such a turnoff. Lines are always long but they actually move pretty fast. The rudeness doesn't really phase me too much since I've worked in the food industry and can understand the frustration of long lines 24/7. If I have ordered for delivery 12 times, at least 11 times the order is missing something. They either don't send you one of the sides, the drinks, or the desserts, always something is not in the bag but it gets charged, of course. You order a tropichop with corn, you will be lucky if you find 4 corn kernels in your tropichop bowl. Barely any meat in the tropichops. And is the same when you order using their drive thru. I have to physically inspect every darn bag to make sure things are there. Unless you're starving and can't drive to another Pollo Tropical, don't go here to this subpar establishment.
