However, I want to point out an important situation that happened to me, which I consider misleading.First, we were given a receipt that already included the gratuity (automatic tip). So far, so good. Then, when we paid by card, we were given a second receipt that again showed the tip percentages (18%, 20%, 22%), without clarifying that the tip had already been charged.In practice, this ends up resulting in a Double tip charge, as happened to me. We loved El Rinconsito Latino! I had the La Bandeja Paisa with a Cuban twist - so flavorful and masa de cerdo were delicious. My wife's Pescado a la Plancha was perfectly cooked. One of the only few places that still have some prices before inflation. They offer lunch bowls, with a lot of food, for around $8.99 from like 10:00 am to 4:00 pm on weekdays. This restaurant is my safety net restaurant. What I mean, any time I can't make up my mind where to go to eat or what I want to eat, I end up at El Rinconcito Latino. Never gone wrong at this restaurant. Their pumpkin cream bisque is the "BEST". Their club sandwich really never had any better. I gave the restaurant another try after a previous bad experience. My bad. I placed a take out order and when I got home we realized that my husband's beloved yuca frita was missing. Customer service was excellent, but unfortunately that was about it. The food was cold. The meat was tasteless and chewing it wasn't different than chewing rubber band. The chicken was cooked probably with oil (a bad one likely) only, no salt or seasoning of any kind, and the salad didn't have dressing. I won't go back. Kudos to the employees, though. Today is the first time I paid this Rinconcito a visit, and it seems this will be the last. The hostess is very nice and helpful but the waitress is another story. I'm sitting at my table and a very sour-looking and rude waitress named Scarlet approached me. "Are you going to order?" Really?? Then, my order was wrong. The replacement came quick, but it was sup-par. The bread wasn't toasted enough and the cheese was not melted. It's typically a mission to find a good place to eat that's not jam packed especially on a weekend! But we were up to the task this afternoon. Our first pick ended up closing REALLY early so next up was this place which didn't appear to be that chaotic. We were able to get a table right away, but our server was lagging a bit. Amanda seemed nice, but definitely not the waitress you're gonna want. She forgot to bring us bread and she never checked up on us after leaving our food. Other than that! Their food was really good! I had the grilled chicken which is massive! Can definitely be shared, and she had the Fish Bites which were surprisingly delicious! Their portions are pretty big! And their prices are very reasonable. (FYI if you order a side of plantains it's enough to feed 3) It's a busy restaurant but not a rowdy one. Parking is horrible as usual in Miami and I'll post a picture rewarding the "Douchebag of The Day" I do recommend this restaurant if you want some good, hearty, inexpensive Cuban food. read more

If I can give zero stars I would. This Rinconcito has the worst customer service I have ever experienced. I called to pick up an order and after picking up my order when I got home I found out that my order was wrong so I called them to let them know about the situation to see if they can correct it and the girl that picked up the phone who works at the window and took my order said that I was the one who said my order wrong and that it was my fault not her fault. She continues to blame it on me so I get to the point where I tell her are you going to fix my order or not so she says yes so I get in my car and drive there when I get there to show her that she messed up on my order she continues to blaming it on me. Manager comes out to try to speak to me I explain to her what had happened and they act like The lady that took my order did nothing wrong. Keep in mind my order never changes Ive always ordered the same thing for three years now. I receive what I think is my correct order and once I get home to open it the order is wrong again. I contact them to let them know what happened for a second time and for some reason I'm still at fault for there mistakes. I will never go back to that Rinconcito ever again. This El Rinconcito is a Cuban restaurant that is owned by Colombians who are cheap and love to blame other people for their mistakes. I have been to multiple El Rinconcito's in Miami that are Cuban owned and I have never been disrespected by them. This is the worst customer service I have ever experienced and the worst part is that while the employees were doing their best to assist me, it was the owner who was extremely rude and disrespectful. I ordered the cantina here last week and when I arrived to pick it up it wasn't prepared. I was told by the manager that I was suppose to call 20 minutes before so it could be prepared which I did not know. I explained to him that most of my job is done over the phone and that it's nearly impossible for me to hang up a work call to call them and notify that I'm on my way. While I was asking him if they could just have it ready everyday at 6 ( as stated in the paper they make you fill out) the owner was rudely hollering in the back "if she doesn't like the way it's set up she can get her money back and do it somewhere else". I proceeded to tell her that I wasn't requesting my money back I was simply seeing if an exception could be made. She continues to insist that she would give me money back... I'm still clueless as to why this was her only solution to a simple Inquiry. Then when I tell her to then go ahead and reimburse me she tells me the paper clearly states that they don't reimburse. At this point I remind her that I did not ask to be reimburse that she was the one who kept insisting. Her poor employees didn't know how else to assist me. I will never again return. read more

Just ordered in dinner from this new location. Ordered A Churrasco (medium) with white rice and black beans and A Bistec de Pollo a la Plancha with Fried Boniato and Maduros. Lets start with the Churrasco Tender and served on the medium rare side, which I appreciate as the cook should account for residual heat during transport. It could use a little salt but is otherwise tasty. It is also HuMonGoUs! The whole steak is folded over to fit the container! The chimichurri was good also, not great but good. The white rice was served in an entire container!! The black beans were nothing to write home about but were totally edible and I have no real complaints. Bistec de Pollo a la Plancha This thing took up the WHOLE lower half of my take out container! As expected, the boniato frito got a bit soggy in transport, and were a bit small in size, but were still tasty and not greasy. The maduros were really good, I got 6 pieces in my order and they were perfectly fried for my taste. All in all, I think they can expect many more frequent delivery orders from me. Went on a friday night to celebrate a birthday, surprisingly it was not too packed, good ambiance not too loud. We called ahead of time to hold a table but were told that the restaurant does not hold tables or take reservations. However upon arrival we were seated immediately. The waitress was nice, took our orders and was attentive 80% of the time. There were a few times where we looked around to ask for a refill on water. The food was amazing, however i recommend if you are hungry not to order the baby churrasco because it will keep you wanting more, i ordered it because i thought it would be a decent portion for once person considering the variety of sides this dish comes with, but in the end it was not enough. Overall the experience was good, the food was excellent and the service was above average. If you are looking for a good cuban restaurant to go to on a Friday night that does not have a long wait or a loud ambiance, this is your place. read more
