I got their family meal which is I believe $21.99 for two whole chickens, 2 rices, 2 beans, salsa verde, and tortillas. You get so much food but that can't make up for taste and service so here goes. As far as service ... you will definitely feel a little intimidated by the spanish speaking people here but they are still friendly and try to accomodate to your needs. NOW ... for the TASTE ........ HOLY MOLY ... the smoke flavor is intense and amazing here. You almost feel like you are watching them grill it on a fresh BBQ grill with the best chargoal in town while you are eating it!!! You will not get better wood fire chicken for the value. We catered a party with their party pack and fed over 20 people for under $200. The food was hot when it arrived and they provided all the catering utensils. It also came in a huge box which we used as a trash bin. It was perfect! read more

Ok, so I really enjoyed Pollo Regio. I was obsessed with this place when I was in Dallas. Maybe it's because it was something new since it doesn't exist in my side of the country or maybe it's because I actually loved their crispy, grilled chicken. The food is surprising cheap, and their portions are generous. I always would order the half chicken special. Sometimes, I would have leftovers for another day or two. Service is not the greatest. Most of the times, it's very slow. Overall, 4 stars. read more

I had to throw the entire order of chicken away less than 2 minutes after ordering it. I've have Pollo Regio many times and it never smells like as bad as this batch. Usually pollo regio is a solid and reliable spot for chicken but this time I found grey/brown spots and pink areas across my chicken. After opening the paper bag the chicken came in, my house just smelled terrible and it didn't even smell like chicken. I would suggest making sure the chicken yall cook is not spoiled because this batch is. I ordered this on 5/20/2022 around 6:00 pm. read more

Manager was very respectful and very attentive. Didn't catch his name but really nice and made sure everything was good. Great service. I ordered a "consume" and turned out the cashier didn't know what I was talking about, the cashier was thinking it was caldo de pollo by mistake and when the caldo came out I was confused . I told the cashier I didn't not want a big caldo de pollo. What I wanted was a some kind of small caldo like the pollo regio by my house gives. The manager came out to say he gave us a refund and was sorry about the confusion. He was very understanding when I didn't want the meal I ordered. After I explained what I had wanted and ment, He brought me chicken broth for my little girl. Will come back again. Plus restrooms are clean. read more

This is so good. Their baked potato region is so huge and delicious. The price of it is expensive but it's an massive load of food. Since it is a massive potato, I think they should have the doubled the amount of beef. They have added butter, cheese and sour cream. And have given a type of sauce. If you're looking for Mexican food, you should try here at least once. read more

By far the worst customer service I have ever received in my life. When I came into the restaurant the music was blaring extremely loud, all the tables were excessively dirty (I had to clean my own table to be able to sit down and eat), and the staff members and management we're not considerate or accommodating at all. I was extremely discouraged when I spoke to the manager and asked her if they could turn down the music so I could enjoy my dining experience and be able to have a conversation with my friend. She refused to turn it down and told me my preference didn't matter (Considering I was the only one in the restaurant). I used to love coming to this place when I was young with my parents, but now I will never ever come back again. I also will tell others about this experience so they know not to come to this Pollo Regio. It's very evident that this place does not value its customers and cleanliness read more

I have passed this place many times and saw the reviews are really good so I decided to stop in today for lunch. I went with John M.'s suggestion and went with the #16 which is a great deal for the amount of food that you get. The flavor is really good- no arguing that. I went right at peak lunch hour and the service was super quick. The avocado and salsa verde were fantastic and the self serve bar was well stocked and very clean. The limes were really juicy and fresh, also. The only thing is that my chicken was really dry...even the dark meat. I received my order within a minute of placing it, so obviously they pre-cook everything and have it ready for the lunch crowd-which is understandable. I think I must have just gotten a package that was cooked first thing and has been sitting a couple of hours. I'm not giving up, though! The flavor was great, so I will try again another day and hopefully be able to raise the stars a little bit! read more

First off, I love Pollo Regio, I love their food. I have been to multiple locations. This review is for this particular location. It is the worst one! There is almost always a wait. Even for a SALAD. I have to pull up and wait for my food...sometimes 10 minutes... for a salad. This week I tried something new.... a chicken burrito. It was not what I was expecting because all the burrito ingredients were on the side... rice, beans, guac, pico and there was no way to really put them inside the burrito without making a mess. read more

For fast food, I thought this spot was decent eats. I ordered chicken taquitos, a churro and pineapple water. Everything tasted decent and i was pleasantly surprised by the water. O.M.G.!!! Hubbie walked in here on Labor Day after the bestest trip to Boston because, you know, we wanted to eat some chicken & jalepenos & stuff. So we walk in and . . WTH is that SMELL!!?? I honestly was blown away by this place. I'm a Tipico's fan, but this night I decided to live dangerously, so I hit the drive-through and ordered the half chicken meal, which came with a side of rice, beans, corn tortillas, and two types of salsas. The star was definitely the tender, well-seasoned, and oh-so-succulent chicken! It was so good I couldn't help tearing into it with my bear hands (pun intended), which made me feel a bit primitive --but oh the flavor! The rice and beans were a good compliment as well. I just made a taco out of the meat and salsa and let my taste buds sing the "Hallelujah" chorus. The avocado sauce was definitely my favorite. It had just the right combo of spice and yummy avocado-tinged flavor. I"m so glad I decided to take a chance on this place. It reminded me that sometimes when you take a risk it really pays off. I've been to two of the other locations in the last week and I always got a roasted jalapeno with my order. this time they wanted to charge me 4.70 for one roasted jalapeno....it didn't make sense. This location gets one star for the worst customer service!!! For starters get the order right! I ordered half a chicken with a side of grilled jalapeño and fries. She gave me RICE! ok, no big deal..gave her the credit card she just stood there, dazed...and said its was a long day...held the card for a min..and fianlly rung me up.. when I asked for togo salsa containers she told me that she didn't have lids and needed to go alll the way to the back and get them and told me to I needed to wait a while..like 10 min. So when I ask for other containers she said she had to charge me. WHAT! ARE YOU SERIOUS! Not only did she tell me to wait but tried to make me pay for her laziness and told me shes to busy because theres a big order coming in. (Family of 5) WOW! I'm a paying customer too! I've tried all the taco place on every "Best Tacos" list in this area. You cannot beat Pollo Regio Bachmann. Their barbacoa rocks!!!! Their pastor rocks! All their tacos are excellent! They also have mole enchiladas and chicken and rice soup. Go and see for yourself! read more

Chris our server was very friendly and knowledgeable. He took his time walking us through the menu and explaining what made El Carlos Elegante so special. The drinks were perfect. My wife loved her Desert Flor while I thoroughly enjoyed my Modelo Micheleda. Her Surf and Turf one hitter was exceptional. I have to say my Crab Cake was just ok. It tasted a little pasty and very heavy on the bread. The Pulpo was absolutely amazing. Perfect texture and the sauce it was served almost had me licking the plate. The El Machete was incredible from its presentation, to the freshness of the corn tortilla, to the quality of the meat inside. Definitely recommend this. We really liked our Okra + Shishito course, we just wished it had more okra in it. The two things I loved about the Al Pastor was of course the sauce it was served on but the fact that I got to enjoy it like a steak. It was served sliced on a bias like flank steak. Typically Al Pastor is finely chopped and served in tacos and burritos, so this was a different eating experience for me. And of course it was delicious as well. That visit checked every box -- the food, service, ambiance, and overall hospitality were all exceptional. What really stood out to me then was the attention to detail. I had casually mentioned that one of my cocktails wasn't quite my taste, and Harry personally reached out afterward to say they'd gladly adjust it next time. That kind of thoughtful follow-up leaves a lasting impression and is exactly the sort of hospitality that elevates a restaurant experience. Unfortunately, this recent visit felt like a completely different restaurant. We decided to do a combination of à la carte dishes along with the Experience menu after being told this version would feature entirely off-menu items, which genuinely intrigued us since Ihad also done the Experience previously. At the start of dinner, we were asked about allergies and dietary restrictions. I clearly explained that I have a mango allergy and do not eat beef. Our server then asked whether I ate other meats, and I clarified yes -- and even specifically mentioned that if the machete dish was beef, please still include it because my friend could enjoy it and I really wanted her to try it. He confirmed it would be the sirloin version, so we happily agreed not to modify that course. So imagine our surprise when one of the first dishes arrived dressed with a mango vinaigrette. Thankfully, we barely caught him quietly mentioning "mango" as he set it down. We immediately looked at each other thinking, "Didn't we just discuss the allergy?" It was disappointing, but unfortunately also representative of the overall service throughout the evening. Our server seemed disengaged, inattentive, and often not fully listening. Empty glasses sat untouched, opportunities to order additional items were missed, and at one point we were simply handed the check without even being asked if we wanted anything else. We also ordered a bottle of sparkling wine and ended up pouring it ourselves for most of the evening because our glasses were rarely refilled. I completely understand not leaving the bottle tableside if walkway space is limited, but repeatedly needing to get up ourselves to retrieve it felt out of sync with the level of service one expects from a Michelin-recommended restaurant -- especially at this price point. Then came the machete dish. Instead of the sirloin version we specifically discussed, we received the vegetarian potato version. When the server asked how it looked, I politely explained that we were disappointed because he had specifically told us it would be the sirloin preparation. At minimum, I would have expected another protein substitution given the earlier conversation about what I could eat. I'm also still unclear whether the Experience menu was truly "off-menu" as described, since several dishes -- including the halibut -- appeared familiar. Had that been communicated differently, we likely would have skipped the Experience altogether and simply curated our own meal. At the end of the night, spending over $500 while pouring our own wine, nearly being served an allergen we explicitly disclosed, and receiving dishes different from what was promised made for a deeply disappointing experience -- especially after such a phenomenal first visit. It honestly felt sad more than anything because I know how wonderful this restaurant can be. I'm not sure what changed in the last five months, but the difference was significant.
