This is my mom's favorite place, she brought me here as a kid and now I'll bring her every so often but the food is OK, nothing is seasoned enough. I would say it's just my personal preference but when the food hits the table, the entire table reaches for the salt and pepper. The service is never bad, but it is on the slower side. read more

Quality of food has seriously deteriorated over the past year. Our server was very inattentive even with restaurant half full. We waited quite a while for drinks and to even get menus. Stale and broken crackers on the table. Had to ask for utensils and then she just dropped them in the table and said pass them out. Getting the servers attention was difficult when our order was incomplete. A few things that need serious and immediate attention. 1. Get rid of the grumpy cashier at the counter. No one does this anymore. All tickets should be paid at the table. 2. The restrooms do not meet health code for cleanliness or accessibility. You have to straddle the toilet to open the stall door. The room itself is not ADA compliant. 3. Put a few dollars back into the place and do some updates. Our family have been patrons for over 30 years dating back to the Napoleonville location. I give the place another year at best before someone else opens a restaurant and shuts this place down. read more

Politz's has been here for a long time, though as a kid I can remember having to drive to the Napoleonville area to go to Politz's. Come to think of it, I didn't drive there because my parents probably did. Anyway, I like their poboys. But I agree that the Friday cafeteria lunch is where it's at. I always get the white beans, rice, and fried catfish. It's been a while since I have eaten in the 'actual' restaurant; I'd probably give that 3.5 stars. read more

Crawfish poboy was not on the menu, but no problem when ordered and delicious! They should serve it with roumalade, though. In general, the fried crawfish was perfect! Gumbo had lots of seafood, but didn't have much flavor. Crawfish ettouffe tasted like it came from a box. Should be able to see little green peppers, onions, celery. All in all, enjoyed our meal and great service. They do need to get in er napkins, though!:) read more

Amazing! Super fast seating, very nice waitress and the food is tasty. It came out fast and we enjoyed it all! The okra and jumbo bacon wrapped fried shrimp are my favorites so far, everything we ordered was great though. I am looking forward to eating there again and trying more things. They have so much on the menu it was hard to choose, I wanted to try everything! Over all I would highly recommend it if you are in the mood for seafood. read more

If you are in town on Friday at lunch, head to the cafeteria in the back for a fantastic plate lunch. Look for the fried shrimp!

First off my husband's stuffed flounder looked like a t.v. dinner ( with no flavor) Both gumbo was absolutely horrible. I had to ask another waitress who was not ours to refill drinks and to clear our table so we would have room for our entries. We were there for a Baptism celebration and had a little trouble changing the infant's diaper due to the fact there is no changing table. Lastly the smell of the restaurant is down right appalling. It smelled like old pissy carpet and mildew. This was not the restaurant that I remember and was very fond of. read more

Went for lunch with co-workers and we were disappointed. The fried catfish was tasteless - no seasoning or flavor at all. And the portion of catfish they give compared to the serving size of the other choices of a main dish is very small. French Fries shouldn't have been served - they looked old, brown and inedible. The potato salad was bright yellow like they enhanced it with food coloring. We use to make a weekly trip of having lunch here but as the quality of food has declined so have our visits. read more

I actually came here for a wedding rehearsal supper. This was my first time coming here. I had the medium seafood platter. They give you a choice of having your food fried in cornmeal or flour. I thought that was an awesome idea. I had the seafood fried in flour. Oysters, shrimp, fish, and what looked like it may have been stuffed crab. I got a loaded baked potato as my side. Everything was delicious!! I'm not sure what type of fish they serve, but there was no nasty after taste. I didn't have to pay for the meal, so I don't know how much everything costs. I did have a crown and coke. Omg!!! $8 and some change for a small glass!!! I just may have not gone out enough to know current alcohol prices, but damn, that was a shock. I was told beer was $3 a bottle. For as big as our party was, the servers did an AWESOME job!!! They stayed on top of everything. Would definitely come back, just wouldn't order alcohol. read more

it's ok, it's a little pricy for not that good food, I don't reccomend the spaghetti! the sauce is kinda gross and the potato salad is bad.
