I've been coming here roughly every three weeks for the past two years and my first suggestion is to ask for Kimmie. Kimmie takes her time, she's detailed and precise, won't rush you, very personable and she LOVES doing nails so she's never scared of a complicated design. Overall: I often leave very pleased with a nicely done manicure or pedicure. Friendly, fast, and respect their employees. Tendency to miss steps. Pricey. Often unwilling to do designs (or may just lack in teaching/explaining why it's not possible). Will still recommend to others. There's many things I love about this salon: -inviting atmosphere -well staffed -a lot of dip/powder color choices -short walk-in wait times -friendly technicians -"cash tips are appreciated" is noted at every station showing they have standards and care about their employees What could be improved: -rushing their process and the customer -ability & willingness to do moderate to complex designs -dip/powder price starts at $50 (I.e. no shape changes or added length) -quality & precision; a few great tech's never miss a step but most tech's will miss/skip step(s) (E.g. drilling/filing under nail for added comfort, lotion massage upon completion, comparing nail lengths, etc.) -sweeping more regularly; busy weekend days can result in slipping and sliding on the tile, especially in sandals I am currently trying out different salons as I have not enjoyed my last three visits. 1) Weekday, seated immediately, was given a set of colors (~20 colors). Didn't like any, showed the tech a photo of 2 colors I'd like, told they didn't have color 1 and showed me an option that was only slightly similar to color 2, felt rushed, picked 2 totally different colors instead. Tech focused on socializing with other techs. Kept looking away, nicked me with drill, bled, tech ignored blood. Tech continued to socialize, skipped a lot of filing, asked for adjustments, left with nails stuck to skin. 2) Weekend, busy. Showed tech 2 colors, she went and grabbed a color set, told me they didn't have color 1, showed me exactly what I wanted for color 2. Color 2 was what I was looking for the last time I came in, I realized the last tech simply didn't care to show me other colors. No complaints about the actual visit. 3) Weekend, busy. Discovered they have 3+ sets of colors while waiting. Showed tech various colors/designs I'd like, none were possible. Gave me the same set I disliked from visit #1. Gave up, showed tech the color on my nails (color 2) and asked for that. She said they didn't have that color! Frustrated, I explain that the color was from here. She finds color 2, I once again settle on a random second color, #66. Brings the wrong color, #99 (no difference between 66 & 99 on the printed label). Frustrated enough, I don't say anything. My last and final frustration was realizing that #99 was color 1 I asked for during visit #1. read more

Would give 0 stars if possible. I purchased 10 pedicure gift certificates for my mom. She went in to use one today and they wouldn't accept it, saying the company had been sold. My mom uses a walker and it's difficult to get in to get the pedicure. "Polished" is still the name on the building. "Polished" is the name on the gift certificate. There is no expiration date on the gift certificate. NEVER going back. read more

When we brought it to her attention she was frustrated and made her feel bad for having to fix it-- "That's just the way dip is. If you wanted it differently you could've gotten a regular manicure." I asked on behalf of the 10yr old with me that she wants a darker polish. The woman argued and toss the polish down it got all over her arm. I ask another woman to clean it because the woman helping us was no longer talking to us. After polish was put on she had the child hold the water for manicure and tools and filing on the child's clothes. I said please use a table. I don't want file dust on her clothes and she is going to drop the water. Why is she hold it on her lap? The woman got extremely angry. I was done. I didn't even want to pay. It was ridiculous. I have been coming to Polished for about 6 years. My regular tech is Nina and she does an amazing job. She takes her time and my nails rarely, if ever chip. My daughter comes to her too and loves her. Nina is the only tech I trust and she's become like a friend asking about family and life events. She does a great job. I have gone to this salon for more than 4 years. The shop has gone through a lot of changes since management changed hands. The formally spacious, relaxing environment has been transformed to a cluttered, scaled down version of the old spot with an ATM in the corner. The abundance of snack items for patrons is also no longer available, basically only water remains. Also notable are the limited offerings of gel polish colors. There may be only 10 or so new colors since management changed. Even when I have expressed my concern about the limited colors, nothing much changes. After 2 years, still no gray! So why still go? My great nail tech, Aubrey. Aubrey accommodates all my odd requests for nail designs and gets them right. My other go to technician is Vy. Both have been at the location since it opened. You should make an appointment because their calendar is usually booked but they are worth the wait. Much of the staff speak English, particularly the tenured staff as that was a priority for the prior management. This allows you to be engaged in conversation while relaxing. It also means that particular people like me can get what they want because there is no language barrier. I would give Aubrey and Vy 5 stars but can't give more than a 4 to the overall location based on the many changes that are deteriorating the experience and the limited additions of new polish colors. read more

The designs were amazing and the Shellac lasted longer than usual. I kept going back because this was the first time I've ever felt like a salon cares about how My nails look. I've been going back ever since. My nail lady, Kayla is amazing. She convinced me to do SNS dip and I'm in love. She's always up for a challenge when I show her art that I want. My most recent set we did was for Pride. I got so many compliments. Everyone asked if it was stickers. Nope all free hand. The salon is clean and they have candy and water. The massage chairs work. Wish I could give 0 stars. DO NOT GO TO THIS NAIL SALON! I went in for a rebase ($43), I requested a SMALL pattern of gems to make the color pop ($5-15 as listed). The women cut my finger with the drill and proceeded to OBLITERATE my nails. There is green all over my skin, the top coat doesn't cover my entire nail, the gemstones look like they were placed by a kindergartner, and there are hairs in my nails. I was hurt and torn by nails and how they looked. I was disgusted and extremely embarrassed and confused as to why they still have a license. Then the price comes out. To a WHOPPING $82! More than a full set of acrylics. I began questioning her and she told me my nails were long, she cut them down to more than half of what i wanted them to be. They are way too short for me so I told her, that, that charge doesn't even make sense. She told me the gems were $30 after I told her how I didn't even want all the gems or the gems she did! Please never go to this place, they will take your money and leave you crying in your car for an hour like I did. Everyone is so helpful and they do amazing designs, I like doing different unique designs and every time I ask they do it!! They have the cutest refreshment bar for customers convince, overall an amazing customer service experience with them. They also now offer Eyelash extensions for those who are interested for a good price and the lashes are really good quality! All of the nail technicians are good at what they do! However this next time was worse. I was unlucky enough to get Karen.. I would call her a bully. Not friendly AT ALL. she was rough, rude and clipped my cuticle and made it bleed. Did I get an apology, ummm no I didn't. My finger continued to bleed through the whole appointment and after I left. She would move the ultra violet light while my hands were still in it. Shellac on fingers was great. Pedicure wasn't very good. Callus razor was used too aggressively and paint chipped within a few days.

I have gone to polished nails a couple of times already because of how convenient it is where I live, but not good service at all. I've never left a review but it saddens me that I come to get my nails done to relax and my nails are never done the way I want them and I am not that picky when it comes to nails . Either the nail shapes are completely uneven, some are thick and some are thin AND all different lengths or my nail is bleeding, i wanted to have a marble nail design and it looked like zebra stripes. Every time I had a different nail tech because I thought I just had bad luck with the other ones and they all rushed and never took their time. last time I had the man that worked there do my nails and I have never had my nails hurt so bad being filed and cleaned, my nails were sore even driving home, HE EVEN TRIED ADDING A TIP HIMSELF!!!! I had to question the extra $4 that they were charging me and they tried to play it off as if it was okay to add the tip themselves . This place is not worth for what they charge, or their services, completely ingenious. Very upset with my experiences :( what does a girl have to do to feel good ! VERY UNHAPPY My second visit I brought a friend for her first time. She asked for the ombré nails. the lady told her that she could do it for $60 total. She showed the technician a picture of what she wanted in which the lady replied "not good for summer" and pulled out glitter instead & said "trust me". My friend eventually said ok and then told the lady that she wanted them short. The lady refused and said "I can't do an ombré on short nails" and proceeded to do it the way the technician wanted & not the way my friend wanted. She still charged her $60 even though she didn't even get an ombré( instead got clear with glitter tips). I'm getting my nails done across the room. I showed the lady a pic of what I wanted and she told me it would be $50.00 which was pricey. I explained to her what I wanted and She was slightly grumpy while I was trying to show her on my phone the picture I was referring to. She said she could do it and started putting layers upon layers of thick chunky white polish on my nails. And towards the end she blobbed some glitter on the top and spread it around a little with a little tool. I looked at them and was disappointed so I suggested she do something to fix it. She seemed annoyed and grabbed the tool and vigorously moved the glitter around. I thought "she was so grumpy and not at all easy to talk to so I'll just suck it up and deal for a few weeks". I tipped the lady which ended up being close to $60 as well. The next day I realized that the polish on the tips of my nails were already chipped or just not applied at all but I had work all that week so I had to wait to go in to talk to them about fixing it. No lie, everyone that looked at my nails said "you paid for that!?!" It was horrible. Day five I went in to talk to them and ask them to fix the chips and told her the polish was chunky and bumpy, not to mention,the shape of my nails are horrendous. To my surprise the lady blamed it on me and said the chips were normal and it's probably from typing a lot. (I don't type). And it was bulky because of how short my nails were. She had an attitude the entire interaction and told me there is nothing she could do. I tried explaining to her that I have never had paint from my acrylics chip before and she said it's completely normal. I said "so there is nothing you can do for me? She said no. You would have to get your nails completely redone. I chuckled and said wow ok. She then answered the phone and went on with business as if I wasn't even standing there. I want to start by saying that Aubrey is an awesome nail tech! She takes her time and does really spectacular work. She is the only reason why I gave this nail salon two stars. The main issue I have with this nail salon is the new owner. The previous owners were very friendly and nice to the clients and to their workers. The new owner is rude. She never says hello or smiles, she just tells me to sign in and go sit at my nail tech's table. I've notice that she is very nice to new clients but not to the regulars. It's very obvious that she just cares about making $$$ than keeping her clients happy. In the end, I would recommend finding another nail salon. But if you do decide to go to Polished Nails than I recommend you seeing Audrey or Vee. read more

Ugh! Very nice place, customer service was amazing. But I left unsatisfied which sucks cause I paid 50$ for 2 crooked nails, they were super thick & uneven! I felt like the girl doing them was in a rush. I then went to my original nail place and he even said my nails were a mess ! I will never recommend or step foot in here again. This was my second time at Polished. I went back because the first time was just fine, no issues. I had the huge misfortune of having Karen today, she was absolutely unfriendly, rough and rushed through as fast as possible. I asked for a full set and she was annoyed from the start. Halfway through I had to remind her to do my thumb as she just completely skipped over it. She really didn't work to fill in the base and would just forcefully move my hands around. She made my hands bleed, with no apology and every time her electric file would slip and smack my fingers she would just roll her eyes and keep going. Adding to all of it was the fact that she had earbuds in the entire time. She said maybe 5 words from start to finish including "done" at the end. I walked up front waiting to pay and she came up, grabbed my card out of my hand without a word, gave it back and walked away. To add to it, she had a sign on her table that basically demanded cash tips. I would absolutely not recommend this to anyone and if you do go, make sure to ask for anyone but Karen! read more
